I was standing by my locker alone when someone slammed it shut. I jumped, suprised to stare into crystal blue eyes. "L-luke?" I stuttered. His blue eyes looked angry. "You have to learn your boyfriend to shut up." he snapped. I sighed, biting down on my bottom lip. "I'm sorry, Luke. Harry doesn't like Claire. Besides he's not my boyfriend.". Luke rolled his eyes. "Whatever, he pissed me off." Luke muttered. "Harry can be like that." I whispered, feeling self conscious under his serious blue eyes.

Luke was weaing a grey beanie, black jeans and a flannel. He had the batman bracelet on his right hand today. I always noticed when he wore that. "Well, make him stop." Luke muttered, rushing away from my locker. My eyes followed after him until I couldn't see him anymore before sighing. Luke probably hated Harry and me.

I walked into maths, actually getting a hello from Luke's friend. Luke avoided me and that hurt, but I just brushed it off, walking over to Harry. Harry was too busy to even say hello, making me roll my eyes.

"There's this party.." Harry began after some minutes. "Party?" I asked. Harry knew well that I had never partied before, but he always tried to get me to go. "Yeah, it's going to be at Ashton's house. You should come too. Sam and Mia will come." Harry explained. I frowned. "You know I hate partying." I muttered. "Please just come, Vic. It'll be cool. If you're not having fun we'll take you back." Harry begged. It took me some minutes before I gave in. "Fine. But if I'm not having fun, I'll leave.".

Luke was sitting alone in the cafeteria today. His friends weren't in the cafeteria at all. I noticed that Luke was listening to music. Maybe he had a fight with his friends or something? Suddenly, our eyes met and his eyes became serious, it was like he was mad at me. I didn't even understand why.

I decided to ignore it and sat down beisde Sam and Harry. They were in some serious converstation about cows. I snorted, looking at Mia. "Do you want to come by my house and get ready tonight?" I asked her. Mia grinned. "You're coming with us?". I nodded. "Yeah, got sick of Harry's begging, but I'll leave if I don't like it there." I explained. "Sure! Oh my god this will be great, I'll come home with you." she winked.

Mia came to my house at six with a dress in her hands. "You have to help me find a dress to wear." I mumbled. I was really lost, I didn't know if I even had any clothes. "Sure." Mia smiled, rushing into my bedroom.

I was just sitting on my bed, letting Mia decide what I should wear. After some minutes, she squealed, throwing a red dress on my face. I raised an eyebrow, staring at the dress. I had bought it, but never dared to wear it. It was a bit tight for my liking. "This?" I asked. Mia nodded eagerly. "Yes, you'll look so beautiful.". I sighed, thinking for some seconds before shrugging. I was always too scared to use it, but I decided to wear it anyways. It was a beautiful dress to be honest.

After changing in to the dress, Mia smiled again and pushed me to a chair. She started curling my blonde hair and then put make up on me even though I could do that myself. I didn't care though because Mia was really good with make up. I got a red lipstick on too and when she turned me around to the mirror, I couldn't help but smile. I actually felt like I looked okay for once.

Mia changed into a black dress, a bit short, but she still looked beautiful. Her brown hair was in a mop of curls too and her make up was perfect. When we walked out of the apartment, we both stopped and saw Luke and Claire walking out the door. Claire was wearing her party clothes. Did that mean that she would come with Luke to the party? Would Luke be there? Of course Luke would be there. It was Ashton who hosted the party. I let out a shaky breath.

What if he thought I looked ugly? What if I embarrassed myself? It sounded very nice to just run to my bedroom and watch modern family right now, but Mia grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the apartment, already knowing I was about to freak out. "We'll meet Harry and Sam right outside." she explained.

We met Harry and Sam who hugged us. They told us we looked amazing and I felt my cheeks heat up. I wasn't one to wear dresses so often and the high heels I wore was killing me. I hated high heels. Harry noticed that I had trouble walking and grabbed my hand. "It's okay, it'll be fun." he assured me, probably already knowing I was nervous. I just nodded, not sure what to say. I was just so scared. I had never been to a party before.

I would never believe that Ashton Irwin's house would be this huge, but it was. People were everywhere and it smelled alcohol. The music was blaring and I was suprised when Panic! at the disco was playing, I actually liked it. "Ashton doesn't play the radio music, he plays the music he likes and that's similar to your own so you don't have to worry about listening to music you don't like tonight." Harry explained to me as we all walked into the living room.

My eyes widened at the sight of even more people. Girls were grinding on boys, couples were making out and some people were so drunk that they couldn't even stand anymore. I felt a pang in my chest when I saw Luke and Claire making out with the wall right with the drinks because I knew we would have to walk past them and I knew Harry would say some stupid comment. I pretended like it didn't bother me to see them making out, looking happy as they laughed some times and everything, but it was difficult.

"Do you want a drink?" Harry asked. Mia and Sam had already walked over to the drinks. "Uhm yeah, but nothing too strong." I whispered as we started walking again. Harry squeezed my hand, trying to make me less nervous, but it wasn't helping. When we walked past Luke and Claire, Harry rolled his eyes. "Get a room you two." he snorted. Claire and Luke pulled away, glaring at Harry. I looked down at all the drinks and noticed that Harry put vodka into his cup while he chose something not so strong to me.

When I grabbed the cup, I looked up and saw Luke staring at me. His blue eyes were staring right into my own, making my cheeks heat up. I took my hand that wasn't holding Harry's to my face, hiding my blush, but it probably didn't help so much.

"Wow, you're actually wearing a dress Vic? I didn't even recognise you without your stupid band t-shirts and black clothes." Claire mocked. "And she lookes more beautiful than you ever will." Harry snapped. He knew Claire was one of the reasons for me having low self esteem. She was always mocking me and my clothes and she was so much more beautiful than me. Claire rolled her eyes, pulling Luke with her as they walked away.

I bit down on my bottom lip, staring down at my feet. "Maybe it was stupid of me to come here." I whispered. Harry leaned down, cupping my face. "Hey, Vic. Don't let your sister get to you, you're beautiful okay? Your sister is just a bitch." Harry explained to me. I gave Harry a small, but thankful smile. Harry had always been there for me and I loved him so much. He was like a brother to me and I was happy to know him. I cared for him too of course. "Thanks, Harry. Now let's go find Sam and Mia again." I said, pulling him with me into the living room where people were dancing.

We ended up talking with Ashton, Michael and Calum too. They were really funny people. "So you're coming to our preformance on Wednesday?" Calum asked me. I shrugged, looking at Harry, Sam and Mia. "If you guys want us to?" I asked. The three of them grinned. "Hell yeah!".

The others were kind of drunk now and it was funny to watch, but it was really hot inside and I felt claustrophobic with all those people in the living room so I walked away from the group, deciding to walk out for some minutes.

When I came out to the garden, I saw Claire slap Luke's face before she stormed away. Luke sighed loudly and sat down on some swings, hugging his knees. Ashton had probably smaller siblings because of the swingset or maybe Ashton just liked swinging? I didn't think much of it though. Luke hadn't notice me standing with the door yet. I nervously walked over to Luke, even though he probably didn't want me there, but I didn't like seeing him upset.

Luke turned around, his blue eyes looking clearer than ever. "Why are you here?" he asked, running a hand through his hair. I started swinging and gave Luke a small smile. I knew I was awkward, but I couldn't let Luke sit there alone. "She hit you." I mumbled, studying his cheek. It was red already. Luke turned his gaze to his shoes. "Well, yeah.". "Does it hurt?" I asked. He shook his head.

We were just silent for a long time before Luke decided to talk. "She was mad because I didn't stand up for her in the kitchen. I probably deserved the slap.". I frowned. "I just felt like it was mean when she told you that about the dress." he continued. "I mean she is your sister after all.".

It was suprising that Luke actually didn't agree with Claire, that he actually stood up for me this time. "You argued about me?" I asked, suprised. Luke just shrugged. "It wasn't very nice of her to mock you like that.".

I couldn't stop the smile from forming onto my face. Luke was still staring down. "Is she always like that to you?" Luke asked me. My smile dropped. "Yeah, but I'm used to it." I answered. Luke's eyes trailed up to my own, shaking his head. "You should stand up to her you know. You're her sister." he stated. I snorted. He was telling me to stand up to her while he just let her boss him around? "No offense Luke, but shouldn't I be the one to tell you that?" I asked him.

Luke frowned, like he didn't believe what I was telling him. "She's just busy right now with school and everything. I can't be selfish and force her to be with me when she's so busy. I know she loves me." he explained. I sighed, knowing Luke would never listen to me nor his friends. Britney wasn't busy, well she was partying with her friends all the time, but the way she behaved towards Luke wasn't acceptable, but she made him believe that a relationship was like that.

I decided to change the subject, not wanting to leave him. I liked talking to him, well when we weren't talking about Claire. "So, do you guys write your own songs?" I asked, hinting to Luke's band. Luke's eyes lit up and a smile crept onto his face. He looked so beautiful and I loved seeing him smile. "Yes, we do. It takes a lot of time and a lot of pizza and redbull, but we write them." he explained. That's how I ended up talking the whole night with Luke and I actually had fun. It looked like he had fun too and I was happy to see that he had a smile on his face the whole night.
