Sam's POV

I walk along a brick wall, at least 5ft above the ground. My friends have dared me to play "the Dark Reflection Ritual". I didn't wanna seem like a coward, so I gave in and went to find an abandoned building or house to do this. Even though I had NO idea how to play, I did my research and found this:

Things you'll need to commence the Dark Reflection Ritual are:

• a mirror of any size

• a candle (any size and/or color)

• friends to do it with (optional, but highly suggested)

Instructions:

For this ritual to work, you will need a mirror that you don't mind breaking. According to the manifesto, both the risk and the eventual reward for this ritual are stronger depending on how old the mirror is. It makes sense if you think about it, an older mirror has been looked into more, and therefore, has more negative energy inside of it.

In order to begin the ritual, you must look your reflection in the eyes, transferring your negative energy into the mirror one last time. You only need to do this for a few seconds. Then, you need to lean forward and breathe onto the mirror, making it fog up with your breath. Then, close your eyes and think about a bad memory. Thinking about the memory will transfer the bad energy from that to the mirror aswell. Once again, lean towards the mirror and breathe onto the mirror, making it fog up. This time, write your full name in the fog. Count to 3.

After you count, knock on the mirror 13 times. If you have partners, let them do the same. After that, blow out your candles and turn around. After 5 seconds, relight your candles within 13 seconds. If you fail to relight the candle within 13 seconds, turn around and say this twice, whilst looking into the eyes of your reflection. You should say, "I'm sorry I have failed you, I'm sorry I have failed you.". Then, turn around and relight your candle. Turn around once more and look at your reflection. The reflection will be either you in the past, present, or future. The state of your reflection will inflict the time span of the bad luck that'll be following you around.

Past: 10 days

Present: 7 days

Future: 1 week

Bad luck will follow you throughout the night. At first, it will start out as small incidents, a chipped nail or a flat tire. The incidents will begin to escalate though as increasingly horrific things begin to happen around you. Eventually, these incidents will become life threatening, no matter how many people you did the ritual with. Like I said, don't start this ritual unless you're planning to finish it.

To end the ritual:

Blow out the candle and count to 10. Emidetly after that, walk out of the house, with the mirror in your hand, without looking behind you. Look up and try counting the stars. Then emedietly smash the mirror on the floor. If it breaks into small pieces, you will walk or drive home seeing things. If it breaks into larger pieces, you'll walk or dive home exhausted and seeing things. If it doesn't break, step on it 13 times until it turns into almost dust. If it takes more than 13 times to crack the mirror to dust, you'll walk/drive home and see one of your closest friends or loved ones will be missing. If it takes 13 or less times to turn the mirror into almost dust, you will be ok until you get home, then your fate will choose what happens.

I really didn't want to do this. Does anybody else get wierd vibes while reading that?

After ten minutes, I found an abandoned house, old and broken. I walk into the house and get the chills. I examine the place and it's ragged features. I walk into a room with a intact wall. I grab my mirror thingy that's, like, body sized, and lean it on the wall. I begin to light my candle. I look into the eyes of my reflection. I'm about to begin when I get interrupted by rustling and the movement of floorboards. I ditch the mirror and go check it out.

"Hello?!" I say. I walk into the room I heard the movement in. What I see next makes my stomach do a backflip, I mean like five backflips in mid-air.

"H-hello...?" Says a mysterious boy, huddled in the corner of the room.

"W-who are you.....?"

DAAAANg! This one shot has like a lot of words, I'll tell you the exact count afterword. Normally my chapters or oneshots have a minimum of 300 word and a maximum of 400. Woah, This is an accomplishment.

Exact word count: 787
