The day has finally come for the Tokyo and Kyoto students to face each other, and the tension has never been this high the moment the Kyoto delegates arrived, and Gojo was out there giving out souvenirs, until Y/N arrived.

"Sorry I'm late" she said as she walked towards her students.

"Y/N!" she turned to the person who called her name.

"Utahime" she gave her a wave.

"Thank goodness you're finally here! I could never stand this man!" she says as she points at Gojo.

"Ah! Finally, the Tokyo team is complete! I've given them their souvenirs" Gojo pointed at the students of Kyoto campus. "Now it's time for your surprise!" he says cheerfully.

"Are you ready?" he says as he pulls a cart.

"In three, two, one, tada! It's your departed friend, Itadori Yuji!" he exclaimed.

"Hai! OPP!" the seemingly "dead" vessel popped out of the box as if he was a jack-in-the-box while cheerfully posing.

Everyone (except Y/N) has horrified looks in their faces.

"Eh? Eh? They don't seem happy at all!"

And it resulted to Itadori Yuji carrying that of a memorial frame in front of his face.

"This could be considered very extreme bullying"

"Shut up, stay that way for a while" Nobara said.

"So? What's the plan? The group battle format is what we expected but we have another member now" Maki says. "Do we change strategies? There's no time"

"Okaka"

"I don't know what he's been doing since he's been dead, but if everyone from Kyoto and Tokyo fought him at once without cursed energy, Itadori would win"

With that, the competition has begun.

"We'd win for sure" Gojo casually comments while watching the students in the TV.

"Utahime go home, you lose" he added.

"Why you—"

Utahime had already thrown a cup over the man once, and was about to do it again when Y/N suddenly spoke .

"Something's wrong" she says as her eyebrows furrowed.

"This doesn't look like a competition anymore" she says as she noticed how the Kyoto students moved, it seems like they have a different target...

"Yuji-" all of a sudden, the paper talismans indicating the number of curses exorcised by the students, all burned red in an instant.

"I'd love to say Great Teacher Gojo's students exorcised them all but..."

"But the charms will burn red for unregistered cursed energy" Yaga added.

"My crows didn't see anything" Meimei said.

"Gojo..." Y/N muttered. "This isn't normal"

And it was indeed not.

When all of the faculty went out to check on the students, a curtain barrier was already put up, and it doesn't make Gojo Satoru enter it.

"I can enter, I'll go to the students first" Y/N said and even before Gojo could stop her, she already entered.

Gojo clicked his tongue in annoyance but left him no choice but to fly above the sky.

The students were fighting off an unknown special grade curse, Megumi and Maki especially were already injured when Y/N arrived, the curse called Hanami noticed her and it surprised Y/N because she definitely concealed her cursed energy, thus before the special grade curse could attack her first, she rained needles on the curse which made it stiffen for a few seconds, then she threw blades after blades, channeling her cursed energy and increasing the poison level, it gave the curse multiple scars at once, her blades spiraled its whole body, making the curse stumble, and when she threw her bladed fan and sliced one of its eyes, it wasn't able to attack again.

"Aha" she spotted its weakness, her eyes scanned the area and her mind did calculations for her next move.

'Using my domain against this curse might affect Maki and Megumi, tsk' she thought. She would never let them get caught in it and die.

Thus she opted to just keep on fighting with her weapons, yet on the verge of her next attack, the curse aimed at Megumi once more and on reflex, she ran in front of Megumi to protect him as she threw another attack to the curse. It made a huge damage on the curse.

 Yet in her attempt to protect Megumi, she was the one who got struck.

"Y/N-sensei!" Megumi and Maki shouted at the same time.

"Argh" Y/N crouched down and fell on the ground.

Buds of monstrous plants were forming on her chest.

"My strike was aimed at your hearts, you shouldn't use cursed techniques anymore, the bud embedded in you loves cursed energy, the more you use techniques, the deeper its roots will extend to your body, it's also poisoned"

Which means one thing: Y/N couldn't heal herself with RCT. The very enemy of RCT is poison, and even if she makes her cursed energy down to zero, there is already an injury, and poison is already in her body.

"Y/N-sensei!" When Yuji and Todo arrived, the first thing Yuji did was to help her get up.

"Y-yuji, stay away"

"No, we can do this Y/N-sensei, leave it to us" he smiled and looked at Todo.

And they did fight the curse.

On the other hand, Panda carried Megumi, Maki and Y/N away from the place to get them to Shoko.

Then suddenly, a huge purple explosion occurred.

And that's when the chaos finally ended...or so they thought.

"Y/N!"

The door of the clinic suddenly loudly burst open which made everyone look at the person who did it.

"Y/N! Are you okay?!"

"Gojo sensei you're too loud"

"Oh no, Y/N-oh wait Megumi you're here too."

"But Y/N!"

"Shut up Gojo I can hear your loud voice" Y/N groaned as she slowly opened her eyes.

"Stay there don't move too much!"

"You're overreacting Gojo"

"Thank goodness you're alive, did it reach your heart? What are you feeling right now? Are you still in pain?"

"For goodness sake Gojo" Y/N sighed.

"I'm fine, okay? Shoko already healed us"

Gojo heaved a sigh. "You worried me"

"You're just being dramatic"

"No, seriously, I was worried when I heard you were struck by that curse and you couldn't use reverse cursed technique"

"Yeah I felt useless" she said monotonously. "Had I been just faster"

"Hey don't say that" Gojo said.

"I'm a special grade for what"

"Now stop saying that" Gojo furrowed his eyebrows.

"What, I'm just stating facts-" Y/N yelped in surprise when a loud slam on the table was heard.

"Don't. Say. That" Y/N shut her mouth in an instant. Gojo was being serious.

"Sorry" he suddenly said. "I shouldn't have slammed the table, you should get some more rest" he said as he brushed some stray hair from her face and stood up to leave.

Y/N seemed to have lost her voice as her heart beated fast and she wasn't able to speak and just looked at his figure leave and disappear.

"What...just happened?" She snapped back from her stunned state when Megumi suddenly spoke. She looked at the confused kid and then at the door that was just closed.

"I don't know...Megumi"

"You're too worked up Gojo, Y/N senpai is strong"

"Shoko, you don't know how worried I was"

"No, I know"

"I was not able to stop her from entering the barrier and I couldn't enter it myself. I thought I'd lose her"

Shoko only gave him a sigh.

"You're down bad"

"What do you mean?"

"Figure it out youself" Shoko boredly said and walked away.

"Hey, Shoko, what are you saying?"

"You still have a meeting with the faculty right? You're gonna be late, shoo"

And with that Gojo was left confused as he went to the faculty meeting for the exchange event, late as usual for the nth time.
