"I noticed you didn't have any food yesterday. I brought you a sandwich."

Luke smiled shyly. He took the sandwich from Michael slowly, nodding as a thankyou.

Michael took his own sandwich out of his bag, starting to eat.

"So tell me Luke, why don't you ever hang out with your friends?" Michael asked.

Luke shrugged, looking around. No one ever acknowledged his real friends, even when they were sitting right in front of them.

"Are you just gonna be silent today?" Michael asked.

Luke shrugged, nodding slowly.

"Well, I have a soccer game to get to. It'd mean a lot if you came and cheered for me," Michael said.

Luke nodded slowly, staring at his feet.

Michael stood up, hugging Luke.

"See you there, buddy."
