(Cooper household)
Alice felt arms around her from behind as she stood in the kitchen at the island

Hal leaned closer and whisper "do you love me?"

Alice smiled as looked at him "of course I do.." she said

Hal sighed and turned Alice around to face him "look...I'm sorry for the way I acted with fp, and I'm sorry for sending you and polly to the sisters..I know I'm the not greatest father...or husband but I love you so much and I'm so sorry" Hal said

Tears filled up in Alice's eyes "hal.." she said and kissed him softly

"Whoa..get a room" Betty said as she walked in to the kitchen with jughead

Hal smirked at Alice and stepped the side

"Hello jughead" Alice said

"Hi Mrs. And Mr. Cooper" Jughead

"I hope it's okay I invited jughead over to study" Betty said

"Of course it's fine honey" Alice said

"Oh Mrs.Cooper, my dad wanted to know what kind of wine you had at dinner the other night. He said he really liked it" Jughead said

Alice thought for a moment *it was the wine he and I drink on our first date..it was in my mother's wine cabinet and we spilt it on my father's rug by accident and it  has been my favorite ever since*  "um...tell him" Alice said as she watched hal go in to the dining room "tell him. Bear rug Wine...he'll know what that means" 

"...okay." Jughead said

"We're gonna upstairs" Betty said

"Door open" Hal said as he walked back in to the kitchen holding dishes left over from breakfast

Betty continued upstairs

Hall quickly grabbed Alice's waist and kissed her again

Alice pulled away for a second "what is going on with you" Alice said and smiled

"I just love you and I want you to know that" Hal said "let's go to pops tonight, just you and i" he added

Alice smiled "I would love that"

Hall kissed Alice softly before leaving the kitchen

Alice smiled to herself and walked over to do the dishes

(Betty's room)
"So, how are your parents ? Doing any better since the dinner?" Jughead asked

"It seems like it. I havent heard them fighting and then you saw them downstairs.. I just hate when they fight..I was so worried a divorce was coming " Betty said sitting at her desk

"at least you have both of your parents..my mom still won't come back" Jughead said sitting in Betty's bed

"I'm sorry juggy... have you talked to her ? I mean about  your dad  doing really good and being out of jail and his job at pops"  Betty said

"No..I tried calling her yesterday and she didn't answer..I tried to go see her a while back" Jughead said

"What happen?" Betty asked

"She had all these excuses about why I cant..no space at her house, she didn't want me sleeping on the couch, she had work..jellybean had school.." jughead said

Betty frowned

"I've always blamed my dad for them leaving but.. I think she wanted to leave ..she didn't want my dad.  Or me anymore" jughead said

"That's not it...she loves you jug"  Betty said

"Why didn't she take me then? She only took Jellybean, she wanted to protect her from the serpents but not me and now look, I am a serpent and  I've cut a tattoo off of a person" Jughead said and shook his head

Betty walked over and sat on the bed next to jughead

"She didn't want me.." jughead said looking down

Betty sighed and wrapped her arms around Jughead

He leaned his head on her shoulder

"Betty your father said the door stays ope-" Alice as she opened the door and stoped when she need a sad looking jughead  "what's going on?"she asked

"Nothing mom...sorry about the door" Betty said

"I'm gonna go.."jughead said and sat up

"No please...I dont want you to be alone right now" Betty said

"I'm always alone..doesn't matter. She left me next you'll leave me Jughead said and grabbed his bag

"That's not true" Betty said

Alice shut the door and looked at jughead "you are so much like your father"  Alice said

"What?" Jughead asked

Betty looked at Alice

Alice crossed her arms "in high school when something was upsetting your father he would he shut down and kick out  everyone in his life ..." Alice said and paused "even when some people try to help" she said quietly,almost sad like. She cleared her throat and sat down in Betty's vanity chair  "dont do what he did...dont push people out just becuase you're upset" Alice said

Betty smiled and looked at jughead

"Now, what's wrong"  Alice said and smirked

"Jughead is just upset that his mom won't return his calls and he think she doesn't want him becuase she only took jellybean away from the serpents and not him"  Betty said

Alice rolled her eyes "your mother..please" Alice said

"Mom!?" Betty said

"Wha, What do you know about my mom?" Jughead asked

"Your mother was a serpent" Alice said quickly and annoyed by thought of jugheads mom

"What? No,she wasn't a serpent. She was totally against it"  jughead said

"Maybe after she had you and your sister..but the Gladys I know was a full on serpent. She joined the same time I did" Alice said

Jughead sat in silence for a moment

Alice leaned forward "jughead.. I know I've been rude and awful to you, your father, and the serpents for a while now..I want to say I'm sorry...you're dating Betty now and now that I've gotten to you know more I know you're a good kid..I'm sorry for your mom leaving. Just know it probably had nothing to do with you"  Alice said as she grabbed his hand and squeezed it lightly

Betty smiled as she looked at jughead

"Thank you Mrs.Cooper" Jughead said

"And tomorrow I would like to come to your school and apologize to your serpent friends...if that's okay" Alice said

"That's great mom" Betty said

"Yeah, of course..they hate you so that should help" jughead said

Alice smiled "I'm not surprised"

(Pops)
"You look amazing tonight by the way" Hall said as he slid in the booth across from Alice

"Thank you" Alice said and smiled

"What can I get you two to drink?" Fo said as he walked up their table

"A different waiter would be nice" Hal mumbled

"Hal!" Alice snapped

"Sorry...I'm sorry Fp..I'll take a water please" Hal said looking at Fp

"Same..thanks Fp" Alice said

Fp walked away and turned around when he got the counter

Alice glaced over to see him staring at her luckily Hal was facing away from him

"I'm going to run the girls room real quick" Alice said as she slid out and walked over to the bathroom signaling to fp to follow

Fp quickly walked over

"What are you doing ? Why are you staring at me" she whispered

"Date night huh? Thought you were tried of his shit" fp said

"Hes trying, he said he was sorry for the way he acted..why do you care"  Alice said

"You know why Alice...you were in that kitchen to" Fp said

"Nothing happen, it was a momentary mistake, I was mad Hal and you....you brought on old feelings" Alice said

"That you dont feel anymore? At all?" Fp said stepping closer to Alice making her lean up against the wall

Alice hesitated before pushing him back lightly "stop it..we're not doing this" Alice said and walked back over to Hal

Hal looked up from his menu

"So,what looks good to you?" Alice asked as she grabbed her menu

"Turkey melt" hal said

"Mhm, that sounds good" Alice said and looked up at him noticing

Hal sighed "Im sorry...I have to ask. What is going on with you and Fp, i saw him go to the restrooms after you, and I have a strong feeling like I'm in high school again, sitting here on a date with you and you running off with Fp god knows where doing God knows what..." Hall said

Alice frowned lightly "it's not what you think..." Alice said and she grabbed Hal's hands "he keeps wanting something to happen and I keep telling him no...i promise, I love you..." Alice said

Hal looked over at Fp

"Please dont at me...I promise nothing happened and nothing will" Alice said

Hal looked back at Alice "I believe you" hal said and leaned over the table and kissed her softly

Alice smiled

(After Dinner)
"One chocolate and one strawberry milkshake" Fp said as he sat the glasses down in frount of Hal and Alice

"We didn't order these" Hal said

"Compliments from pop Tate" Fp said as he walked away

Alice smiled and grabbed her milkshake

"Remind me to thank pop later" Hal said as he took a sip of his drink

"This has been an amazing date honey" Alice said

"It has" hal said and smiled

Hals phone began to ring "uh..excuse me, I'll be right back"   Hal said as he slid out of the booth

Alice thought nothing of it, just be a journalist or a reporter or something

"What do you want?" Hal said as he turned the corner by the bathrooms

"Come over" said the voice over the phone

"I cant Penelope...I'm out with Alice..we need to stop this..its gone to far and i want to stop" Hal said

"What about Alice and the serpent" Penople said

"She said theres nothing going on between abd I believe her now.." Hal said

Fp stood by the wall listening, debating whether to kill Hal or go Alice...luckily for his record he chose to go to Alice

"Al...we need to talk" Fp said as he sat down across from her

"Seriously...please stop" Alice said

"Hal is on the phone with Penople...he's cheating on you" Fp said

Alice froze,she felt everything around her slow down

(Ending here. Super long chapter not sure if it's good or not but I hope you liked it,  my next part will be a part 2 of this so it will probably continue from this point
