At home:

Taehyung POV:

Me, Yoongi hyung and Namjoon hyung were in the house.

I was busy making Yoongi hyung's soup so that he would feel better while hyung was all bundled up in blankets on the sofa in the living room. He was watching Tom and Jerry and was also cuddling his Kumamon plushie with great interest. To be honest, he looked like a cute kitty. So cute.

Namjoon hyung was in his office still doing his investigation. He was tired but he didnt rest even a little. It's like he is looking for the missing of the puzzle that isnt being found. I hope he finds it soon.

I was busy making the soup when I suddenly heard a splash sound out of nowhere. I thought maybe it was coming from the cartoon Yoongi hyung was watching but no it wasnt from there. Then again I heard that splash. That's when I realized that the sound was coming from the front yard.

The window of the kitchen shows the view of the front yard. The splash sounds were coming from the swimming pool that is situated in our front yard. I looked from the window leaving the soup alone for a minute. I thought I was seeing things for a moment but then I realized that I wasnt.

There was a little boy sitting at the edge of the pool with his legs dangling in the water. His back was facing me. That boy was giving off dark vibes. He had no shirt on but was wearing shorts that were old and dirty. His body looked rotten. He didnt look normal at all. I was getting strange chills while looking at him.

He suddenly stopped splashing his legs in the water. Then he turned around and looked at me. But what shocked and terrified me the most was the smile he gave me. His eyes were dark black. No color visible. And his smile was so creepy. His lips stretched into a creepy psychotic grin showing his broken and rotten teeth.

I wanted no time as I ran out of the kitchen. I think I had startled Yoongi hyung for a second there because when he saw my feared face he got concerned.

Yoongi: Taehyung where are you going? Is something wrong?

Me: There is a weird boy sitting at the edge of the swimming pool.

Yoongi: But there is no one there.

Me: Hyung I saw him please let me go!!

Namjoon POV:

I was busy in my office trying to connect the dots to find the missing piece of the puzzle. Papers were scattered on the table. The two tapes were also near the gyroscope on the table since I was busy watching them so I could get some clues on the family murder.

The most strange thing is that the BBQ family murder happened in 1979 and the child of that family went missing too. I thought about watching the BBQ tape again so I set up the gyroscope and played the tape. And that's when I found it.

Me: Huh? What is that?

I saw something on the car in which the family was tied up and burned but I couldn't see it properly since it was too dim to see it.

I searched up on Google and found a way to copy the tapes into my laptop and guess what. It worked. Now the whole tape was in my laptop. I found that clip where I saw something on the car and paused it there. Then I adjusted the brightness of the picture.

There was a symbol on the car. But due to the angle of the camera and the darkness in the video, I couldnt see it properly. Well atleast I found something.

Taehyung: *low sound* Hyung I saw him please let me go!!

Huh? Why is Taehyung screaming? Did something happen?

I quickly dashed out of the office to find Taehyung and Yoongi having an argument in the living room.

Me: Hey what's going on?

Suddenly Taehyung pushed Yoongi out of his way and ran outside in the front yard.

Yoongi: I don't know what's wrong with him but he said he saw a boy sitting at the edge of the pool.

Then he too ran outside and I started following. What did he mean by a boy sitting at the edge of the pool?

Taehyung POV:

I ran outside in the front yard towards the swimming pool and I saw him. He was still sitting at the edge of the pool giving me that same creepy grin.

Me: Hey you! Stop right there!

Then turned his head back to look at the pool. Then out of nowhere a pair of hands grabbed him from the legs and pulled him in the water. When I had reached the pool, I saw that there was no boy there. Just clean clear water. No one was there.

Namjoon: Taehyung what happened!? *pants*

Me: I saw the boy. He was sitting here hyung. Right here. And then a pair of hands grabbed him and pulled him underwater.

Yoongi: Wait what? But there is no one here.

Me: He was here hyung please believe me!

I was on the verge of crying. My eyes were getting blurry.

Namjoon: Taehyung there is no one here just clean water.

Me: No please belive me I saw him! He was so scary!

And then I started crying.

Yoongi: Dont worry Taehyung. I believe you. *pats back*

Me: *sniff* You do hyung?

Yoongi: Yes. I do.

Namjoon: What's that burning smell?

Taehyung: Omo the soup! Hyung your soup is ready!

Yoongi: Coming!

Namjoon POV:

Taehyung ran inside the house to check his soup. I was about to go inside too but then I felt someone putting a hand on my shoulder.

Yoongi: Namjoon?

Me: Yes hyung.

Yoongi: Sometimes you got to believe in those things that you dont believe in.

Then he patted my shoulder and went inside leaving me confused.
What did he meant by that?

Jungkook POV:

I was looking for Afifa in the corridors. Raven however was busy helping the teachers in the staff room. I saw Afifa coming out of the girls restroom. Then I ran towards her.

Me: Hey Afifa. How are you?

Afifa: I'm fine Kook.

Nope. She didnt look fine at all. Her voice sounded drowsy and there were black rings under her eyes. Is she okay?

Afifa: Jungkook.

Me: Yes?

Afifa: Can we do the project in my house?

Me: Ofcourse we can. But why?

Afifa: Nothing.

Then she walked away. Something is definitely wrong.

At home:

Night:

Jimin POV:

What is happening here? Why doesnt anyone look happy here?

Dinner was quite awkward for all of us today. Jin hyung wasnt eating his food. He never did that. And Taehyung was shaking. Why is my soulmate shaking in fear like that?

I looked at Hoseok hyung and he too had a questionable look. After dinner, me and Hobi hyung decided to tuck the kids in bed. Then we went back into the living room.

Me: Yo guys. What is wrong with y'all?

Jin: Nothing. We're okay.

Namjoon: Guys I found something that could get me a lead in the case.

Hoseok: Why? What did you find?

Namjoon: Follow me.

Then we all followed him into his office. I saw that he went towards him laptop and was looking for something.

Namjoon: Here it is. Look.

I looked closely at the screen. It was dark in the picture. But there was something made on a surface. It looked like a symbol.

Namjoon: Did you see it?

Yoongi: Yeah. There is a symbol on something.

Namjoon: No. Not on something. But on the car.

Jungkook: The car? What car?

Namjoon: The car in BBQ.

Me: You mean the car in which the family was burned?

Namjoon: Yes. That car. The symbol was made on the hood. But we couldnt see it properly because of the darkness and the angle of the camera.

Hoseok: Okay but what does the symbol mean?

Namjoon: I dont know but that's what I'm gonna find out.

Raven: It could be a logo of a company or a brand or something.

Jungkook: Yep. She's right. But dont worry hyung we will help you. There is a book in the library that has many logos and symbols there. Maybe we can find it in that book.

Namjoon: Thanks guys. You're the best.

Taehyung: So what tape should we watch now?

Me: Let's watch Sleepy time. Cuz it doesnt look that old.

Namjoon: Alright. Let's watch it then.

Again the usual we turned off the lights, set up the gyroscope and sat on our seats. Then the tape started playing.

Oh my God! What did I just see? I never liked gore scenes in my life and this was worse than that. The killer literally tied the family on the bed and slit there throats. Whoever killed them is definitely messed up.

I looked at everyone and saw that all of them had their eyes averted somewhere else. Gladly the tape ended. But then I started hearing whimpering sounds.

Namjoon: Whoever did that is not okay.

Hoseok: There was no happy scene at first.

Me: I know right.

Raven: Guys I saw that same symbol.

Namjoon: Where?

Raven: On one of the cabinets. Look.

Jungkook: Whose crying?

Taehyung: Guys its Jin hyung.

We all looked at Jin hyung and saw that he was covering his face with his palms and was silently crying.

It broke my heart seeing that because Jin hyung was always the confident and dad joke person that would always bring the light in our lives whenever we needed it the most. And seeing that guy crying who always taught you to love yourself breaks every inch of your world in crumbs. That's how I felt. The pain was unbearable.

Namjoon: Hyung why are you crying?

Jin: I'm scared Namjoon.

Taehyung: But why are you scared hyung? Is it because of the tape?

Jin: No it's not that. I've never been this terrified ever since I exited the restaurant.

Jungkook: Why? What happened hyung?

Jin: I saw this boy and........ I'm sorry I cant tell. I'm too scared.

Yoongi: Was that boy like the one I saw?

Jin: No. He was tall and wearing night pajamas.

Namjoon: Night pajamas?

Jin: *sniff* Yes and they were all ragged and dirty. He didnt look alive either. His stench was like a rotten corpse. It was scary. *sniff*

Hoseok: It must've been a hallucination hyung.

Jin: No! It wasnt!

Raven: He is right. It wasnt.

Me: The hell! Where the hell were you Raven?

Raven: Searching.

Namjoon: About what?

Raven: This.

Raven turned the laptop towards us. There was an article written there about a family murder that had happened in 1998. The article showed the picture of a happy family and then on the end of the article showed the dead bodies tied to the bed with their throats slit opened making the sheets all red in color.

Hoseok: Wait a minute. Is that-

Raven: The family murder? Yes it is. Jin oppa. Was this the boy you saw in the restaurant?

I saw the picture. A tall boy about my height was standing there wearing an old fashioned shirt and jeans.

Jin: Yes! That's him!

Namjoon: Its impossible. What else does it say Raven?

Raven: Well it says here that the police tried to find the killer who killed the family but there was no evidence there. And their youngest son disappeared after the murder occurred. The police didnt found any traces that could lead them to find the boy so they had to bury the case forever.

Namjoon: Oh my God. Another missing child!? What is going on?

Taehyung: Dont worry hyung you will find the killer.

Namjoon: Is the killer even the same person? The BBQ family murder happened in 1979 and then this one in 1998 and now in 2020. How old is even the killer? Is he even alive? And so if he is then where the hell is he?

Me: Calm down hyung. You will find him soon and I know you will. You just need to believe in yourself.

Jin: But I saw that boy in the restaurant. I'm starting to believe you now Yoongi.

Namjoon: Seriously hyung? I thought you were the sensible one here.

Me: No the time hyung. You cant just scold him out of nowhere.

Namjoon: Oh whatever.

Namjoon looked very annoyed. He then went out of the office and slammed the door shut behind him. Thank God the door didnt break.

Yoongi: Hyung would you like to sleep with me? I'd be glad if you did.

Jin: Yeah sure.

Then we all got out of the office and went to our rooms to get a good night sleep.

Taehyung POV:

I was standing in a hallway. It was dark everywhere. I couldnt see a thing at all. I started some whispers. At first they were very low but then at the end it turned into screams. Screams of children.

"I WANT TO BE FREE"
"I WANT TO BE FREE"
"I WANT TO BE FREE"

I covered my ears from the loud chanting. I wanted to wake up right now but I cant. I wasnt able too. Tears started stretching down my face. I knew I was crying. Then suddenly the chanting stopped and there was nothing but quietness. Only the sounds of my breathing could be heard.

*crack*

I heard a crack sound. It was coming from the floor. I looked down but then I remembered that I couldn't see anything.

*CRACK*

The floor was about to break beneath me so I started running in the darkness hoping I would fine any source of light.

*CRAAAAACK*

Suddenly the floor broke beneath me and I fell into the deep darkness. I closed my eyes. Ready for the hard impact. But instead of falling on the ground, I fell in the water with a hard splash.

The water was cold. I started paddling so that I could swim to the surface but nothing was working. There was force that was pulling me down in the water deeply. I started struggling. Trying to let that force leave me but it wasnt working.

I wasnt ready to die yet. I didn't even bid goodbye to my hyungs, my brother, my sister and Raven.

Please.

Someone.

Save me.

I looked around at my surroundings. Thank God it was my own bedroom.

Me: It was just a nightmare Taehyung. Only a nightmare. You are alive.

Hoseok POV:

I was laying in my bed trying to sleep but I couldn't. How I wish I didnt drink that coffee. Now my sleep is being ruined.

I was immersed in my thoughts while I staring at the roof of my room. Who on Earth would murder families and kidnap their child? Well like Yoongi said. Messed up people do messed up things because their brains are all messed up.

*thud*

What was that?

*thud*

I was startled by that sound. It was coming from the door.

My breath hitched when I heard another thud.

Me: Whose there?

Me: Please tell me.

Me: If this is Jungkook, Jimin or Taehyung then please stop. You know I dont like it when you guys scare me.

No one was responding. Then who is at the door?

I have to brave. I picked up my baseball bat as I started walking towards the door.

I grabbed the doorknob and pulled the door open. There standing on the doorstep was non other that Taemin. He had his eyes closed. Wait a damn minute. Why is he sleepwalking?
