I felt my body wake up and turned, only to fall on the ground. I groaned and opened my eyes to see my coffee table in front of me. That's right... I gave Aspen my bed last night while I opted for the couch. I pushed myself up and did an extravagant yawn. The apartment was extremely quiet, so I assumed Aspen was still sound asleep. My suspicions were confirmed when I quietly approached my room and saw her unconscious. I felt a smile make its way to my face at observing her peaceful state. I then felt like a creep, so I swiftly walked away.

I wasn't sure what she wanted to eat for breakfast since most stuff I knew about her was fake. Wasn't sure if famous Aspen hated pancakes because they had carbs or if real Aspen actually liked to consume food. So I did the best thing to get information on her... I googled her instead of asking.

My Google searches led me to a video where she discusses her favorite stuff. She mentioned liking oatmeal, egg whites (tots saw that coming), avocado toast (a real basic white girl), chia seed pudding (wtf is that)- I looked up chia seed pudding and quickly deduced that I had no idea how to make that. So I continued on with my search. I saw that she likes berries, but I didn't have any.

I peeked around the corner to see her still asleep. I then quickly grabbed my stuff and ran out the door. I wasn't sure how long until she woke and wanted to have food there, so I ran down the streets. I was so out of shape and my lungs felt like they were on fire. Finally, I arrived at the farmer's market. When I went to a fruit stall, I realized that she never specified which fruit. I groaned and continued my search and made an educated guess that she'd like blueberries and raspberries and blackberries.

I bought the stuff and then ran back to my apartment. I had to take a breather and lean against a bus stop because I'm totally not fit. I then started my jogging again until I arrived back. My huffing and puffing surprisingly didn't wake the actress. I chugged a bottle of water and leaned against the counter. With my head down, I took many... many deep breaths.

I then settled on making egg whites (tots bland), avocado toast (to the best of my pathetic abilities), and placed some berries in a bowl (that's as much as she's getting). I began humming to myself as I chopped up some onions for the avocado toast. I began cracking the eggs and terribly separating the yolk when I heard the floorboards creak. I turned to see Aspen rubbing her eyes as she approached me.

She wrapped her arms around herself before giving me a shy smile. It took me a while to react because I was caught off guard. She looked adorable with her hair slightly messed up and her slightly groggy face. It was also a shock to see her look slightly uncomfortable rather than her usual confident and cocky persona.

"Hi." She whispered and looked down to hide a blush.

"Hi." I smiled. "Good morning." My greeting caused her to smile.

"What are you making?" She looked over my shoulder. Her close proximity caused my breath to hitch. Aspen glanced at me and arched a brow, causing me to shake my head and blush.

"Egg whites and avocado toast." I replied. "Egg whites are done." I plated them. "And just waiting for the bread to be properly toasted." I spoke as the toaster dinged. "And finished!"

I grabbed the breads before my eyes shot open. They were HOT!I began playing hot potato with the bread and squeaking every so often. Aspen quickly reached for them and placed them on a plate. I blushed like mad while she laughed. I cracked a smile at hearing how carefree she sounded.

"You really are a marvelous chef." She teased and grabbed the knife to spread the avocado. "I didn't think you ate like this." She motioned to the breakfast.

"Why? Thought I was unhealthy?" I asked with a serious face.

"N-No! That's not- why are you laughing?" She eyed me suspiciously.

"I'm messing with you." I controlled my laugh. "I didn't know what you liked, so I looked on the internet. I just chose the ones that seemed the most realistic to make."

"Most realistic?" She ate a piece of egg. "Which ones were absurd?" She sounded amused.

"Definitely wasn't making chia seed pudding or a frittata or a quiche."

"They asked what I liked to eat and I told them. Not that I eat like that everyday. They should've specified." She snorted.

"By the way, the egg whites are so bland." I gagged.

"It's to keep calories down and normally I put ketchup on them." She shrugged while I stared at her in disgust. "What?"

"Eww! You put ketchup on your eggs?!"

"Ya." She gave me a Duh look. "It's good."

"It's gross." I stuck my tongue out. "And I thought you said you wanted to keep calories down. Doesn't the ketchup add more calories?"

"I said it was to keep the calories down, not that it's effective for me." She smirked. "And have you ever tried it?" She inquired, so I shook my head. "Then, you can't decide it tastes bad."

"Nah, I just know it does."

"You're incorrect." She got off the stool.

"Where are you going?" I asked her back while she rummaged through the fridge.

"To expand your palate."

She sinisterly smiled before closing the fridge and showing me the ketchup in her hand. I stared at her in horror while she waltzed back to the table. Aspen squeezed ketchup on her eggs and cut a piece for me to taste. I adamantly shook my head no.

"Come on. Quit being such a bore." She groaned. "For me?" She morphed her face into the most adorable pout.

"Fine." I groaned and cautiously ate it.

Aspen laughed at my disgusted face. I stood up and spat it in the trash. I then used a towel to wipe my tongue.

"No way it's that bad." She giggled and ate her food.

"Worse than I thought." I sickly looked at her. "And no fair with your cute face. It easily made me melt." I grumbled and noticed her blush. "You have too much control with your facial features."

"You're too sweet." She shyly smiled at the table.

The two of us began to eat in silence. I couldn't help but fondly smile at the actress since she'd occasionally smile to herself while eating. I then remembered last night and realized we had to have a serious conversation. Aspen must've detected the change in my mood since she sighed and nervously looked at me.

"We need to talk, Aspen." She sighed, but nodded. "Yesterday was... there were a lot of emotions and I think it's best to speak when we're both calm." I nervously played with my fingers. "I think we both revealed a lot of personal thoughts and feelings and I want to know how you feel about it."

"How do you feel about it?" She mumbled. "You first." She whispered.

"I was thinking that you could go first." I giggled.

"It's your home, so I wouldn't want to overstep." She smirked.

"And you're the guest, so..." I snickered.

"Rock, paper, scissors." She proposed, so I shrugged and agreed.

"Okay." We smirked and hit our fists against our palms. "Rock... paper... scissors... sho-"

Before I finished the word, Aspen jabbed me in the side. My instinct from the shock caused me to clench my fist. The next thing I knew was Aspen's hand covering my fist.

"Ha! I chose paper! I won!" She beamed.

"Cheater!"

"Never explicit about the rules, babe." Aspen husked, causing me to feel blood rushing to my face. "So since I won, I elect you to divulge your feelings first. So what do you feel?" Her confidence faded into nerves.

"I like you, Aspen... a lot." She breathed a sigh of relief at my admission. "I'm just struggling to understand what's fact versus fiction." She appeared confused at my words. "One second you're hot and then next-"

"I'm always hot." She eyed me up and down, causing me to groan from sexual frustration. "But, continue boosting my ego."

"My point is that I don't know if you kissed me because you were just emotional or if it meant something to you. Because... it meant something to me." I whispered the last part. "I don't know what to believe and I'm really confused. Please give me something to work with." I practically begged.

"I didn't kiss you because it was a spur of the moment kinda thing." She mumbled. "I kissed you because I've wanted to do it for a while." She picked at the crumbs on the plate. "I'm just... I don't know."

"So it didn't mean anything to you?"

"That's not what I'm saying." She appeared exhausted. "It's not as simple-"

"So you don't want anything happening between us." I forced my voice to remain steady because I was dying on the inside.

"No." She squeezed my hand and bit her lip. "That's not what I'm saying."

"Then, what are you saying? It sounds like you don't want-"

"I do want you." Aspen breathed out. "I want you more than you realize and I can express. It's just... hard." She nervously met my eyes. "This is uncharted territory."

"Unchar- you've never been with a girl before." I concluded.

"Now, that's just false." She gave me a flirty look. "My problem is that we'd be going into something-" Aspen suddenly stopped herself.

"Going into what? Aspen, please just be honest with me. What's the hesitation? What's wro-"

"We'd be entering a relationship where you know the real me. Not a relationship of convenience or a relationship where you're with psychotic famous Aspen. You'd be with the real version and I'm terrified of opening up myself. What if you hate the real me? What if I'm too boring? Or too emotional? Or-"

"I happen to like the real version a lot." I reassured her. "You're more complicated than a superficial version. Don't be insecure about the real you." I kissed her hand.

"And then there's the issue with my career." Aspen sighed and removed her hand. "My management will surely hate the idea of me being with a girl. And I can't have any more fuck ups or they'll drop me. My reputation is on the line and-"

"I understand." I gave her a sad smile. "Even if I can't be with you romantically..." I took a deep breath since I was being a total liar right now. "I'd rather have you in my life as a friend." Aspen gave me a strained smile when I said the word friend.

"I don't want you as just a friend though." She mumbled. "I don't like the idea of you being with someone else." She sighed. "I want you in my life, but playing a more prominent role than just a friend." Aspen ran a hand through her hair.

"How about I take you on a date tonight and we see where things go from there?" Aspen raised a curious brow at me. "No pressures. Let's just have fun and take things slow. We'll see where things lead us."

"A date?" Aspen spoke to herself. "That seems nice." She smirked and turned to me.

"Where?"

"It's a surprise." I smirked at her eye roll. "I'll text you where to meet me."

"Fine." Aspen annoyingly stood. "What time?"

"Umm..." I glanced at the clock. "8?" I unsurely spoke.

"You don't seem that sure-"

"I'll see you later." I pushed her out of my apartment. "Bye!" I slammed the door in her face.

My hands were still on the door while I panted. Shit! Now, I have to think of a date! I ran to my computer and started googling ideas. I spent 3 hours googling and nothing sparked my interest. I placed my head on the table and almost accepted defeat. I say almost because a thought suddenly occurred to me. I quickly typed on my computer to make sure the event was still on. I did a celebratory cheer and thanked the almighty lord that I actually had a date idea for Aspen.

Since I had a few hours until the date, I decided to catch up on some homework. It helped pass the time and I noticed the time fastly approaching. I texted Aspen the address before getting myself ready. I dressed in a casual/comfy outfit before grabbing my keys.

The traffic was bad, so I took the back roads. Nikki had texted me while I was driving, so I waited until I was at a traffic light to call her. She was wondering where the hell I was, so I questioned her right back. Nikki stated that she was with Jake (not like I'm that stupid) and she just got back. I had a sneaking suspicion that they didn't have an "innocent" sleepover. I revealed that I was going on date with Aspen, resulting in deafening screams. Nikki demanded I tell her everything, which I reluctantly agreed, so I could get her off the phone.

I eventually made it to the location and spotted one of Aspen's many luxurious cars. I parked as close as I could to her and approached the vehicle. Aspen got out and hugged the coat closer to her body. She looked around and tried to avoid catching the gazes of passing students.

"We're at your school?" She sounded confused.

"Yes!" I beamed. "I was trying to think of somewhere you wouldn't get recognized a lot, so it definitely had to be at night." I motioned to the dark sky.

"Somewhere I wouldn't be recognized?" I nodded at her question. "So a college wouldn't-"

"We're going to a school play. A musical to be more specific." Her eyes widened in excitement. "It'll definitely be dark inside." I held her hand and led her towards the building. "So... I have to admit something." I slowed down as the building was getting closer.

"What?" She interlocked our fingers.

"I don't have tickets and it's sold out." She stared at me in confusion. "So we're gonna have to sneak in." I deviously smirked.

"No way." She laughed.

"Oh, yes way!" I grinned and led her to the back of the building. I stopped when we got to the backdoor. "So it's stiff when locked obviously." I played around with the door. "But, when you shake it fast like 5 times and then push down..." It clicked and I managed to push it open. "It opens. Voila!"

"How'd you even figure that out, robber?" She giggled and entered.

"Nikki and I were late to class one day and didn't want to go through the front, so we ventured back here and accidentally stumbled across this." I led her to a staircase. "Now, Nikki casually dated a guy who worked here, so he showed us the secret entrances."

Aspen chuckled and followed me up the stairs. I went on my tippy toes to reach the top of the doorframe and grab the keys. I unlocked the door and led Aspen inside. I then quickly made my way to one of the projector cameras and removed it. We were now able to see the play through the square hole. I grabbed the bean bag chairs and placed them close to the hole.

Aspen sat down while I went to the other corner of the room and set up the popcorn maker. It didn't take long for the kernels to pop and for me to join Aspen.

"Dinner and a show. Like I promised." I winked, earning a laugh.

"This is honestly amazing." Aspen grabbed a handful. "What show are we watching?"

"Beetlejuice." I smiled. "I've never seen it, but fingers crossed that it's good."

"I love Beetlejuice. Say my name is my favorite song in the musical."

Thank God, she loves this. I wanted to take her someplace she wouldn't be easily recognized as well as wanted to incorporate something musical... because she loves them, but can't enjoy them as often as she'd like. I'm glad I'm able to do something that makes her happy.

I found myself smiling and sneaking glances at Aspen. She'd smile while watching and sing along to the songs. She looked like a kid in a candy store. Aspen would shake me and point at the characters with such glee. When it was intermission, I went downstairs to buy us some drinks and candy. Aspen ate the KitKats when the second act started.

The two of us enjoyed the play and clapped along with the crowd. When it was over, I took her down the stairwell and to the parking lot. Since we were parked in the back and it was really dark, no one recognized her. I stuffed my hands in my jacket pocket and looked at Aspen with a massive smile.

"Hope you enjoyed it. I know you love musicals, so-"

"It was incredible!" Aspen clasped her hands and smiled. "So much fun! Easily the best date I've ever had by far!"

"Aww, you don't have to gas up my ego-"

"I'm honestly being serious." Aspen earnestly spoke. "This was one of my most memorable days. I've had so much fun and enjoyed myself. Thank you, Jules."

"You're welcome." I blushed and looked down. "So... do you wanna do something like this again?" I used my shoe to play with the dirt.

"I was hoping you'd ask that." I looked up to see a shy smile on her face. "Make sure to text me." She moved forward and kissed me.

Her lips were so soft and perfect. I held her sides as we shared a slow, but sweet kiss. Neither of us were in a rush and savored the moment. Aspen eventually pulled back and pushed her hair behind her ear. I stepped forward and gave her a light peck.

"I had a fun time and thanks for the lovely evening." Aspen smiled. "I have to go because I have an early meeting tomorrow."

"Have a safe ride." I gave her a long kiss, promoting her to wrap her arms around my neck.

Yep, I could get used to this.
