Part 6

Anika's pov

It's been more than 20 days since I left oberoi mansion. I am working for Mallika. I am working in a place where my job is recognised. Mallika was like a sister to me. She looked after me very well. She arranged  an apartment for me to live. She gives me a good salary and moreover good companionship. Since Siddharth Rana was still in his foreign tour Mallika was spending her leisure time with me.

She is not like other spoiled rich brats. She is simple and humble. During our conversation I discovered her wish to be a normal person. She said she is exhausted of limelight and need some time for herself. Whenever she spoke about shivay to me I was not able to control my emotions my eyes always displayed a sense of pain even I feared of her suspecting me.

She told me about visiting oberois. I decided this was the right time. I decided to divorce Mr.oberoi. it's not easy for me. I loved him with all my might but what he did he broke my heart into million pieces and throwed it in dustbin. I don't want to get trapped in his game again. I know he will definitely come to me after receiving divorce papers but this time I will not let him win.

At Noida

SIMA is looking forward for it's first very big event. This event is organized by SIMA under the guidance of Anika. It's their very first big event. Anika is working very hard. Her colleagues asked her to take some rest but she politely refused. She thought working constantly will be the best distraction for her.

" Anika u need some PA. If u work on like this without taking proper care of your health u will end up in hospital," told a worried radhika. Her colleague in office but more like a friend to her.

" Don't worry radhu I am perfectly alright. Just a few more minutes I will complete this work then I will join u."

" U will never change" sighed radhika.

Suddenly radhika's phone ringed. She attended it. After speaking for few seconds she hunged it and informed Anika.

" Mallika mam asked u to meet her near lawn. She asked u to come immediately."

" I will go now. Radhu do me a favour please give this list to floral department."

" Don't worry I'll handle this. Today evening u promised to take me out for coffee. Don't forget."

" Haan baba I remember it. I will definitely take u out."

Radhika smiled and left from there. Anika was worried because Mallika went to meet oberois and she must have came to know about everything. She was afraid how she would face her. Moreover what if shivay accompanied her. Her mind was filled with many questions but she brushed those thoughts away and went  from there.

At lawn

" Anika u r here. I missed you a lot",  saying so Mallika hugged her.

Anika was shocked by her gesture. She thought she would be angry on her and confront her. But here she is standing and hugging her. This was something really unexpected. She reciprocated the hug.

" U r back soon. Is your journey was good", said a shocked Annika.

" Of course dear it was very good. Why r u asking me that?"

Anika was confused she even wondered whether her letter reached shivay or not. Before she could say anything Mallika continued.

" Okay leave it. Radhika told me u r working very hard. U need someone to assist you."

" Mallika I am perfectly fine. It's just that it's our very first event and I don't want any mistakes."

" U never get convinced right. This time I will not listen to u. I will arrange one assistant for you."

" There is no need for that. I work hard to distract myself that's it. Since sahil is also not with me I feel lonely sometimes so if I concentrate on work I feel relieved."

" Anika u can tell thousand reasons but I will not agree. U will get assistant and that's final."

" Okay Mallika only for u I am accepting".

" That's like my girl. Now listen to me someone is waiting for you."

" But who will wait for me? I don't have any friend here."

" Patience my dear. U will meet him soon. He is waiting for you near pool."

" Him?"

" Anika will u stand here and keep on asking questions or will u go and meet that person who's waiting for you".

" I am going".

Anika went to pool area. She was very much tensed and worried. Her heart was beating very fast. She felt something different. She was able to smell something familiar. She squeezed her mind. But before she can get any answer for her question her eyes got locked with a green one. She rubbed her eyes to ensure his presence. Once she confirmed it was him she tried to step back but unfortunately fell into pool. She was struggling to come up but she felt a pair of hands on her waist. Before her mind could register what was happening she felt those hands on her​face removing her hairlocks. He held her tightly while she was breathing heavily for oxygen.

" Tum theek ho na Annika", he asked me.

I could clearly concern for me in his eyes but he killed my hopes before itself now I won't let that happen again.

" Yes I was fine till I saw u again", saying so she pushed him away.

" But Anika", his words got cut by her in middle.

" Mr.oberoi I don't have time to waste. Now tell me quickly why u r here. I already signed divorce papers and mentioned clearly I don't want any money from u."

" Stop addressing me as Mr.oberoi Annika mam".

" Why can't I address you after all you are an ob"

She stopped in middle and looked at his face.

" Wait a minute did you call me mam."

" If I am working for you then I will definitely call you mam right".

" What r u saying? Why you would work for me when you yourself can hire thousands of workers. Stop playing games with me. I am no more going to be a part of your games."

" I am not playing any game. I am hired by SIMA for your assistance."

" That means Mallika was talking about u. Why can't you leave me in peace. U only regretted for being with me. Then why you came to me again."

" I am sorry Annika. I agree whatever I said I never meant it really. U know na I always speak rubbish in anger. I know I hurted u a lot. I promise you it won't happen again. I came to know u didn't do anything it was all planned by my mother. I am sorry oh her behalf."

" I am happy that you realized your mistake. But I can't forgive u. A broken heart can never be mended. I want my freedom."

" I won't stop you from taking divorce. I lost that right. Always my anger overpowered my trust this time I won't let that happen. But I cannot live in this world with this guilt. I want to payback for my deeds."

" Mr.oberoi there is no need for it."

" U can't address me as Mr.oberoi."

" Why? After all u r the great shivay Singh oberoi who rules entire oberoi empire."

" Because I gave up my surname. From now on I am only shivay, annika's shivay. I am giving up my life as an oberoi. I mocked u a lot for not having a surname, for not having a family, for being middle class. Now it's my turn to feel the same. From now onwards I will live my life as an ordinary person. I will not use my surname or money. U said correctly without surname I am a zero but u forgot to mention without Anika my life will be a big zero than that. I am sorry Anika."

" Why are you doing this? I was just your responsibility. Why you will stay away from your family for me?"

" Because I love you Anika"

Her world stopped for a second. She always wanted to hear those words from him but she knew practically it was not possible. Even before their fight she had a little hope in her heart but after that she gave up her hope. She believed if he loved her then he would have not said those words to her and break her heart.

Anika fainted in his arms.
