Part 24

" Ani guess what I am taking Suzanne out for a date", Vikram said happily.

" Wow Vikram you asked her out. I seriously can't believe it", said Anika with a shocked expression.

" Ani stop teasing me. I know I am a lady killer. But when it comes to Suzanne I forget everything. Maybe people are right when you fall in love everything changes slowly".

" You are right Vikram. Love can melt a stone into heart at the same time heart into a stone. In both the case love wins", she gave a weak smile.

" Ani I know you don't like to share your past with me but trust me if you do it you will feel better. Don't forget I am always there for you. Whenever you need me I am just a call away", Vikram assured her.

She nodded her head in response.

Anika knew Vikram for past three months. He is a lawyer and handle all her cases. He is too an orphan maybe that's why both of them clicked instantly. He always make others happy. He is a lady killer but not a play boy. He sincerely loves Suzanne for past two years.

Suzanne and Vikram live in same apartment. Suzanne is happy go lucky girl but still she is very mature in her thinking. Suzanne is a doctor. Suzanne don't know about his feelings. The trio always hanged out together.

After spending some time they went back to their home. Anika took her phone out and stalked rudra's account. She found a picture of him with shivay which was posted before two days. She downloaded it and kept it as her mobile wallpaper.

She dozed off as she was very tired.

After two days she got a call from Vikram.

" Hi Vikram good morning", she greeted him.

" Ani we are under some emergency", he said.

" Are you fine?", She asked immediately.

" I am fine. Actually I called you to inform about sahil's custody case."

" What? But why. You only said everything is sorted out. Tell me Vikram", she panicked.

" Calm down Ani. Mrs.Patel wants to speak to you about sahil. It's just that she is having a meeting tomorrow she wants to see you immediately. So come fast to her office", he said trying to Pacify her.

" Will everything be fine", she asked trying to control her tears.

" Don't worry till I am here no one can separate you from sahil", he assured her.

" Okay I am coming".

She ended their conversation and got ready.

After shifting to Amsterdam she had few problems regarding sahil's custody case. Even though sundari bua was not his guardian still she had problems in getting his custody.

Vikram handled her case and everything was fine till now. Mrs. Patel investigated her case. She often visit sahil to know his comfort. All her reviews was in favor of Anika. She was soon going to get sahil's custody.

Before two days sahil had a talk with Mrs. Patel. Although she know sahil will talk in her favour she don't know why Mrs. Patel is calling her now immediately. She was afraid now.

What if she loses sahil too. She may not be able to cope up with this.
There she stood outside Mrs. Patel's office. Vikram joined her soon. He squeezed her hand and assured her that everything will be fine.

They reached her cabin.

" Hello Ms. Anika and Mr. Vikram. Please have a seat", Mrs. Patel greeted them.

" Thank you", she replied to her.

" I am extremely sorry for calling you on such a short notice", she apologized to Anika.

" It's okay Mrs. Patel. Is anything important?", She asked worriedly.

" Actually Ms. Anika you know we usually have session with kids to know about their thoughts and views regarding their guardian."

" Do sahil have any problem with me".

" Ms. Anika he don't have any problem with you. Infact he consider you as his own sister cum mother. He also mentioned he can never live without you", she smiled at her.

Anika took a sigh of relief. Vikram too smiled at her.

" Then may I know why you called us here Mrs. Patel?", Vikram questioned.

" Actually Mr. Vikram I wanted to convey an important information to you. I can very well understand your situation but we can not give sahil's custody to your client", she said.

" What r u saying? How can this happen? Just now you said sahil can't live without me but now you are thinking to separate us", Anika bombarded questions.

" Calm down Ms. Anika", she tried to Pacify her.

" But Mrs. Patel even before four days you assured me of sahil's custody to us. What happened suddenly that you changed your mind?", Vikram asked.

" Mr. Vikram during our session sahil told us he likes his Anika didi a lot. But he wish to live in a complete family. Just like a father, mother and children all together in a family. Even though he directly didn't say his wish our consultant found out that he is interested to live with a family".

" But how come this is possible", Anika said in shock.

" I can understand your feelings but sometimes we can never predict kids. Moreover he needs a support of family for his better future", Mrs. Patel explained her point of view.

" Please don't do this to me. I can't live without sahil", Anika begged.

" It's very difficult to raise a child as a single parent. To lead a stable life a child require support of both father and mother. It's good for both of your future", she tried to convince Anika.

" How can you say this to me? A life without sahil is like desert. Please tell her Vikram I can't live without sahil".

" Mrs. Patel you can't do this to my client. You very well know kids preferences keep on changing", Vikram supported Anika.

" Mr. Vikram you very well know what our constitution says. I also can't do anything in this. It's my higher official order."

" Don't we have any other solution to solve this problem", Anika asked with a ray of hope.

" Only one way is there. In order to get sahil's custody you should be married. But as far as I know you are single and not married. So it's not possible for you to get sahil's custody anytime soon".

" Sorry for interfering but she is already married. I am shivay Singh oberoi and she is my wife Mrs. Anika shivay Singh oberoi", shivay said looking at Anika.

Seeing shivay after six months had a huge impact on her. She stood frozen with time.
