Recap : Anika against tej

Part 18

" Anika listen to me beta we can solve this problem. I know I made a mistake and I tried to hide it but trust me I didn't do anything intentionally. I was overpowered by greed. Let's talk and solve this problem", tej tried to convince her.

" You still think we can sit and talk after what you did to my parents. I seriously can't believe this Mr. Oberoi. You killed my parents and you want me to sit and talk to you", Anika shouted in anger.

" What rubbish you are talking? I never killed your parents anika", tej said in shock.

" Bade papa we know everything. There is no more way to hide your truth. Accept your crime", shivay said to tej.

" Oh come on shivay why should I accept something when I never did anything. Moreover how can you think like this about me. I know Anika don't about me but I am like your father and you are accusing me for murder", tej said angrily.

" Mr. Oberoi please stop your acting. I very well remember what happened that day and I can never forget that day even in my wildest dreams", she recalled the most dreadful day of her life.

Flashback starts

Anika was seven years old that time. She was sitting in her room with chutki and playing with her toys. She suddenly saw her father coming to her. He looked so panic and nervous. She wondered what happened to him.

" Papa are you fine? Why are you looking tensed?", Anika asked her father.

Varun tagore immediately hugged both his daughters. Anika felt some drenchness in her top. Varun broke the hug and looked at he daughter.

" Princess your dad and mom is going somewhere and we will come back very late", Varun said in broken voice.

" But papa I also want to come with you", Anika said.

" Well princess this is a game. In this game parents can't help children but they can support them with their wishes. So basically we will always watch you always but we will not be with you. Princess if you win this game then you will get lot of gifts and even a ticket for world tour", Varun said to his daughter.

" Wow Daddy world tour. I am really excited. I promise you daddy I will win this game", Anika smiled.

" Princess this journey is going to be very tough. You have to survive in this cruel world. but I am sure you will make us proud. Always take care of chutki. She is still very young to understand this world. You are her protector. I have very little time left. I am going to miss you a lot", Varun cried.

" Papa we will miss you and mama but why you are going away from us if you will miss us? Stay with us na", Anika pouted.

" I too wish the same princess", Varun whispered in an inaudible voice.

" Don't worry princess everything will be fine soon", Varun assured her and made her to leave their mansion along with chutki.

After few minutes Anika realized she left her favorite toy in her room itself. She silently sneaked into her mansion but what she saw froze her blood.

She saw her father and mother lying on ground lifelessly. She also saw tej holding a gun in his hand. She was about to shout but someone closed her mouth and took her from there.

It was ramu kaka who saved Anika. He took them to his home but after few minutes goons surrounded their house and fired the entire house.

But somehow ramu kaka helped Anika and chutki to escape but he died in the process later on Anika and chutki got into an orphanage and the rest of the story remain same.

Flashback ends

Shivay's pov

I too remember that day. I want to meet Anika so I came to her mansion. But what I saw shocked me to core. My bade papa was holding a gun in his hand. Varun Uncle and Durga aunty were lying on ground without life. I was shocked to see it.

But before I could do anything I saw my father taking me away from there. My father threatened me to not tell anyone about this. I had no choice. I tried my level best to find Anika but fate had other but better choices.

Now she is my wife. I always lived in guilt but now I got a chance to repent my mistake. I will not lose it at any cost.

Present

" Anika you misunderstood everything. Yes I remember I was holding the gun but they were already shot when I came to your mansion. I was shocked to see them lying dead on floor. I don't know what to do that time. I didn't kill them.

I know you will not trust me but do you remember I had an accident that time and I cannot lift my hands to my shoulder level then how could I possibly shoot them", tej tried to prove his innocence.

His words struck anika's mind. She remembered tej undergoing a surgery for his accident. That means tej didn't kill her parents.

" Even if I believe you are innocent then why did you blasted our entire house. Don't you think my parents didn't even deserve a proper send off", tears rolled down from her eyes.

" Anika my finger prints were there in the gun and I can't risk my life and put oberois reputation at stake. I want all these proofs because I cheated your father.

We both were about to invest in a company but I cheated him by stealing some important document and that Raj captured everything in his camera. I came to your mansion that day to talk to your father but when I went there he was already dead. I know someone is trying to trap us.

I saw Raj taking my photo which had gun in my hand. I tried to catch him but he escaped from me. I made sure Raj to not escape from this country. 

I blasted your mansion to remove proofs and made everyone believe they died in the blast which took place due to leakage of cylinder. I tried to find you but you were missing.

Before you could conclude anything I just want to say something important to you. I cremated your parents bodies with proper rituals. He was my friend too. Varun and Durga are now lying peacefully in their tomb", tej explained everything to her. His words were marked with honesty.

Anika couldn't control anymore. She now understood everything. Tej Uncle didn't kill her parents. That means oberois are not responsible for their parents death. Then who killed her parents. This was the only question that revolved in her mind.

Although tej didn't kill her parents she still couldn't forgive him for his acts. She decided to maintain a formal relationship with him.

Shivay and Anika reached her parents tomb. She started to cry bitterly. Shivay tried to Pacify her. Anika hugged him tightly and expressed her pain to him.
