Recap: Dan and Naomi were captured by Norihito, who intended to wait for Matsumi in order to escort the 3 of them to their boss. Matsumi appears and makes 2 discoveries - that he can breathe underwater and can transform into a monstrous shark, however he is still not in control of the beastly form.

Most people would expect mansions as home to rich people and warehouses as places for shady dealings. However, the place where meetings are taking place for the boss and his associates happen to be in a luxurious mansion. Norihito is seen kneeling in front of the silhouette boss alongside Puffer as well as 2 familiar faces - Juro and Nagito, who happened to be accomplices of Rika and had their arms broken earlier by Matsumi's uncontrolled water pressure.
Boss: "That's just incredible, Norihito! So our suspect is another Therianthrope huh? Well, the stupidest part of your mission failure was - you couldn't get that guy's name."
Norihito: "Sorry boss! I should've actually asked him his name first, I focused on survival after losing an arm. I don't really know if....."
Suddenly an electric blue arrow-like projection strikes the other arm of the seaweed mossform weilding assassin, delivering what seemed like an electric shock.
Boss: "Ohh I'm sorry! I guess I've rendered both your arms immobile now, haven't I? But you obviously knew this was coming for you."
Norihito rolls around on the floor, screaming in pain.
Boss: "It's okay! There was no venom in that sting, you can chill out seaweed man. Take rest for a week, and we'll see what we can do next."
The assassin goes to a room and lays in bed there. The right hand man and woman of the boss arrive, being in silhouettes as well.
Boss: "So, about that therian kid?"
Female Sub-Boss: "Yeah! We're supposed to hand him over to our higher ups, aren't we?"
Male Sub-Boss: "Are you sure it's a good idea to give this guy to the higher ups? He doesn't seem like a manageable child, he's too difficult to say the least."
Boss: "What are you suggesting?"
Male Sub-Boss: "I think we should execute him, after all he's got no family or friends to go to. Even the elites above us wouldn't want a problematic kid with a therian like that."
The boss gets a packet of chips for himself. He starts binging on them and turns on the TV.
Boss: "Ahh Spongeborg, my favorite show is on! Wanna watch it alongside me?"
The 2 sub-bosses smile and refuse politely, but being loyal and eccentric they continue to stand next to him. One of the minor subordinates sits and watches the show. The boss continues to enjoy and laugh at the show about a goofy robotic sponge who lives underwater in a watermelon shaped house. The environment of the meeting gets creepier, and the boss without any notice turns off the TV after the episode ends. He then looks at his 2 trusted subordinates with a smile.
Boss: "Do you 2 know what it's like to have a rare therianthrope around? Our elites would value us more than anything. Killing that kid would mean my inevitable downfall, after all I'm the one who promised them."
Male Sub-Boss: "My apologies!"
Female Sub-Boss: "So which is the organization that captured this problem child?"
Male Sub-Boss: "My research suggests that they're probably a group composed of mossforms and gen-ECs, and they definitely won't give the kid to us unless we show them our worth."
Boss: "We better not miss this opportunity! The higher-ups should be happy once that kid belongs to the guardian angel."
Suddenly the boss realizes that he accidentally revealed something he shouldn't have and turns to the right, seeing one of his lower subordinates listening to the conversation thoroughly.

Boss: "So....did you like Spongeborg?"
Subordinate man: "Y-Yes! It was a good episode, you know."
The boss looks directly into his eyes.
Boss: "And did you like what I said about the higher ups?"
Subordinate man: "H-Higher ups? You mean, guardian ange....wait I don't know, I never heard anything I...."
The boss spawns purple projections and strikes them into the subordinate, delivering a nasty painful electric shock as well as turning his limbs purple resulting in the unfortunate man collapsing with no heartbeat or pulse.
Female Sub-Boss: *facepalms* "Was he new here, or just stupid?"
Male Sub-Boss: "Whatever! Now that he's heard those 2 words, we have no choice but to bury him."
Female Sub-Boss: "Boss you really need to form better codewords and not keep revealing all that information to our lowly ones, you know."
Boss: "True that! Anyways wanna watch a re-run of Spongeborg tonight? I recorded 10 of my favorite episodes."
Both sub-bosses once again politely decline after witnessing what they witnessed, while the boss goes back to his room with a serious expression on his face.
In a warehouse, another sinister scene takes place. Sitting in an empty room is a little boy tied-up in chains which look like they have a pink aura to them. Approaching him are 3 faces, who are shockingly familiar - Rio, Gai and Izumi.
Boy: "What do you want now, scum?"
Izumi: "You're starting shit again, little boy!"
Before Izumi could proceed further, he is stopped by Rio.
Rio: "I told you, tying him up with your chains was more than enough Izumi."
Gai: "I swear, who would even want this kid?"
Boy: "DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH ME! BUT LET ME GROW UP AND SEE HOW I BEAT YOUR....."
Izumi increases the chains on the kid with his secret ability, surprisingly not choking him but still managing to weaken him.
Izumi: "You're lucky I'm in a good mood today and we have priorities, we need to send you off to NEX. They'll decide what to do with you."
Rio: "Besides you killed 3 of our homies, didn't you kid? It's just lucky for you that we're not killing you right now."
Gai: "Keep your cool and use that goddamn anger of yours somewhere else. We're being merciful towards you for real."
Izumi: "Let's go!"
The kid surprisingly goes silent and looks down in despair, the three of them walk away. He tears up, and is filled with nothing but anger and hatred.
Boy: *thinks* "Naomi! Dan! Did they.....really leave me?"
The trio walks out of the facility, looking at each other.
Rio: "So, will it be Pizza? Or Fried Chicken?"
Gai: "Pizza for the appetite, fried chicken for the soul."
Izumi: "Hmph! I don't care, either is good with me."
The infamous third member suddenly changes his tone, indicating a strong hunch or suspicion.
Izumi: "You two! Go and order for yourselves, I'll join ya later."
Gai: "Hey hey! Chill, easy! We've never seen you so cold and cautious."
Rio: "No shit! At this point, what do we have to fear huh?"
Izumi: "Just give me few minutes, I'll rejoin you later."
The two of them walk away, leaving their comrade to his business. Izumi's body starts glowing with a red aura, he looks around and spawns several chains from the ground. He observes only to find nothing around, until he looks at the very same place he was standing. In front of him is a young lady with a curvy figure and silver hair, wearing a red leotard under a black overcoat. Her face is covered with a black scarf as if she were a trying to audition as a kunoichi, but the one thing evident on her face is the cold eyes.
Izumi: "Hah! I didn't know that NEX would send someone to peep on us. So, who would you be ma belle femme fatale?"
The lady removes her overcoat and pulls out what look like ribbons by somehow manipulating and pulling off the floor itself, then projects them at him. He fights back by spawning chains to stop the ribbons.
Izumi: "No weapons needed? I knew it, you're a gen-EC too!"
The ribbons however manage to make their way through the gaps in the chains and are homing towards him.
Izumi: *thinks* "Ahh no! Shit"
He withdraws his previous chains and uses the recoil to jump midair, dodging her ribbons.
Izumi: "Hey lady! Do you have a name, or a mouth for that matter? Or did someone replace your mouth with a frog or something, like they do in those crazy goddamn body horror movies?"
The lady unexpectedly has a reaction to his statement, as her eyes change from a cold bloodlusted fighter to someone who just heard something extremely lame from their friend. She continues to spawn ribbons, elongating them and firing at her while her opponent continues dodging them.
Izumi: "So you have emotions, but.....you don't talk. Very well, works for me."
His chains keep struggling to counter her ribbons, it has now become a game of patience as well as accuracy as her ribbons can penetrate the gaps between his chain.
Izumi: *thinks* "This is going nowhere! I'm gonna have to come up with something."
He continues to dodge and counter, knowing he doesn't have too much stamina left and is ready to retreat anytime. At the end, to his surprise the lady retracts her ribbons and stands in front of him.
Izumi: "What? Hey! What's the meaning of....."
She coldly approaches him, however he tries to keep calm despite being in cold sweat.
Lady: "What's your deal?"
To his shocker, the lady spoke. To make matters more bizarre, her voice was childlike and high-pitched despite her tough appearance.
Lady: "What is your deal after all? Why do you continue to work under such lowly organizations when you survived this long against me?"
Izumi: "And just who would you be?"
Lady: "I'm just offering you to work right under our Guardian Angel."
Izumi: "Hold on lady, you can't just approach me and expect me to join an organization I know nothing of."
She suddenly starts laughing loudly.
Lady: "Quite the conformist type, aren't you? Still in your comfort zone echo chamber?"
Izumi: "I'm surprised that someone with your appearance has emotions."
Lady: "By the way, the kid is ready isn't he?"
Izumi: "If you're talking about that problematic chaos grenade, yeah! He's ready, but good luck managing him."
Lady: "Still, there's something about you that still doesn't resonate well with me. You know what I'm saying, right?"
Izumi goes silent for a moment, sweating slightly.
Lady: "I like how you usually maintain a hot-headed fake persona in front of your 2 buddies but here, you just became someone else."
Izumi: *thinks* "What a stalker creep!"
She laughs hysterically again, while Izumi walks away coldly, being unafraid.
Izumi: "I have to go join my buddies for lunch."
However in a spur of a moment, the lady spawns a ribbon which she stops a few centimeters away from his throat.
Lady: "I like your cold attitude, but you must know that a lot happens in the dark when you're asleep. My village was burned down, and my parents died in that horrifying tragedy. At this point, I'm only focused on finding the murderer."
Izumi: "And just why are you telling me this?"
Lady: *whispers* "Because I remember the face of this monster, and you most definitely have a connection with them."
