Reader POV

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Julius asked with a serious face.

I nodded. "I plan to avenge my family and ending the Dark Triad and the three devils is the way I know I can."

Julius looked at all nine captains and they nodded. "Very well. I have no objections."

Fuegeleon stood up. "Are all of you prepared to fight?"

"Yes, now sit down, fire-brain," Yami said lazily. "My squad has ties with the Diamond and Heart Kingdom. Our allies there will join us."

"How can we trust them?" Charlotte said. "No offense, but-"

"Really, Prickly Queen?" The Captain of the Black Bulls slammed his hands on the oak table. "I don't get it. You all trust (y/n) yet you don't trust the others?"

Kaiser spoke up. "We trust Queen Lolopechta and the Heart Kingdom. But the Diamond Kingdom hasn't been exactly trustworthy."

"If Yami says they can be trusted, then they can be trusted," Julius said calmly before an argument broke out. "I trust his judgment."

The Wizard King turned to me. "We called Miss (l/n) here because she knows the terrain of the Spade Kingdoms. Listen to her well and we will prepare an attack.

The sunset on the horizon was beautiful.

"Tomorrow, everything will go down to Hell," I whispered. I was sitting on the snowy roof of the Clover Castle.

I gripped the pendant Nozel got for me.

No matter what happens, I will avenge everyone.

At the first stroke of dawn, the Magic Knights and other guards would meet up with the two other Kingdoms at the Grand Magic Zone and through the mining tunnels, they would attack the Spade Kingdom at six points.

Underground, in the air, north, east, south, and west.

Each Captain leading up to this point knew the tunnels since I had given them a precise map of the tunnels and traps, along with areas of high magic concentration that would serve them well.

The shrieks of wind roared in my ear as my hands grew red from the cold.

"(y/n)!"

I turned around and saw Nozel on the roof as well.

"What are you doing?" He scolded. "I can't have you getting sick before we go off to war, you idiot."

He carried me into the castle and set me down in front of the fireplace, wrapping me in a blanket and giving me a warm cup of (winter beverage).

He himself settled for hot chocolate.

"(y/n)?" He spoke up after taking a sip of his drink. "I want you to be honest with me. Are you alright with returning to the Spade Kingdom?"

I searched his eyes and they had nothing but concern.

I had told him how the Dark Triad had gotten powerful mages to become 'leaves' on this tree to summon every demon into this world. They had killed everyone else.

"I must," I said. "I want to avenge everyone they killed."

He nodded, accepting this answer. "I just want you to know that if we don't make it out alive, I really love you."

I smiled warmly at him as he continued.

"After the battle is over, I-"

"MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!!" Solid yelled as he ran onto the couch and jumped on it, causing his brother to spill his drink on his white top. "Oops, sorry, Nozel!"

"Way to ruin the moment," Nozel grumbled. "Next time, don't make me spill my drink."

He called for a butler to bring him a shirt, which he did.

I watched with a red face as he unbuttoned his shirt-or tried to get the top.

"Fuck...um, a little help?"

Solid just sat there with a smirk. "Yeah, (y/n). Go help him, (y/n)."

I glared daggers at the male who chuckled. Getting up, I looked away with a blush and my cold fingertips touched his collarbone as I undid the very last button and clip at the top of his collared shirt.

He took it off and nodded to me in thanks.

I blushed a very deep crimson when I saw how muscular he was. True, he wasn't as muscular as Yami, but that doesn't mean he is't.

"Thank you," He nodded to the butler as the older man walked off.

"Wow, your face is sure red," Solid covered his mouth as he tried to conceal a laugh. "Have you two never seen each other topless?"

Nozel hit his brother with a mercury blast. "Solid! Do not ask such questions! Of course I haven't seen her topless!"

I closed my eyes and nodded meekly. "This is the first time I am seeing your brother without a top,"

"And it sure as hell won't be the last," Nozel concluded. "Now go away."

"WHAT?" My jaw dropped.

Nozel chuckled. "Keep that mouth shut, (y/n), or else I'll feed you something."

"Kinky~"

"GO AWAY!" Both of us shouted at Solid who finally got the message and yeeted out of the living room.

"What the hell are you going to shove in my mouth?" I was nervous to know the answer.

The silver-haired male shrugged. "Nothing much, just some food. Speaking of which, I'm hungry. I'll go see if someone can make us some food or something."

He left me to my own thoughts.

I slapped myself. "KEEP YA DIRTY MIND OUTTA HERE!" I yelled to myself. Then I blushed. Was he hinting at something else?

"Good morning, everyone!" I saw Noelle smiling at everyone. She had a hickey on her neck, which meant only one thing...

I smirked. "You're awfully cheery this morning, Noe. What happened? Was it Asta?~"

She looked at me with a crimson face. "W-What about Bakasta? I could ask the same to you! Why do my siblings tell me you changed Nozel's clothes for him?"

"N-Nothing happened! Solid made your brother spill his hot chocolate on his shirt so-"

"Ladies," Fuegeleon got our attention. "We need to focus on what is about to come."

"Right! Sorry!"

I got to the front with the other captains. I knew everything the most when it came from to the Spade Kingdom out of anyone there.

Our allies were there, as were some others.

"It is an honor to fight beside you," Fuegeleon was saying as we all started forward. "I do hope you and Nozel survive. You both would make a beautiful couple in terms of marriage."

Nozel on my other side gripped my hand. "We need to focus on this right now- but I agree."

I ignored both of them. "Everyone, take your tunnels. If you need backup, you know what to do. We are about to enter the Spade Kingdom, and my senses tell me that up ahead in some tunnels, there are traps and enemies."

Before I could continue with my own group, Nozel caught my hand.

"Stay safe," he said. "I don't want to find you dead, you foreigner. I want to marry you one day, damn it! So don't die."

I kissed him as the others said their goodbyes and good luck to everyone else.

"You too, Snotty-Steel. But we'll see about marriage. One thing at a time, you fool." I gave him one last kiss and moved his hand off mine. "Everyone in my group, let's go."

And so, we all set off into the tunnels with our allies, knowing that not all of us were going to make it out alive.

We could only hope that we were strong enough together to get rid of the threat of the Dark Triad and their devils.
