Swirling mists of surreality
Echoes of past and future
A long walk, lost
An inner self, sleeping
An inner self lost
Suppressed by long necessity
Through mist and veil
A face, your face; unexpected
Gentle friendship washes over me.

"It's good to see you," I say to dream you.
You smile. "How are you?" dream you asks dream me.
Your voice: sweet, soft, angelic
Waking, Confused; or is this the dream.

The day is long, your presence lingers
Your voice, in dreams, calls my waking self
Calls my soul from long slumber
Quickened the sleeper
Summoned my spirit from hiding
Called forth my essence from shadow
Awake! Awake to tears of memory
Whence comes this? Whence comes thee? Why?
Wake the soul of song! Remember the gifts

"It's good to see you," I say to dream you.
You smile. "How are you?" dream you asks dream me.
Your voice: sweet, soft, angelic
Waking, confused; or is this the dream?

I see your eyes again
I hear your voice again
In the dream, Iawake.
