~ yeonjun's pov ~
It's been one month and a half since I started guarding Yeji. She's still a headache, but I've gotten used to her attitude. I still couldn't find a good partner for her. She never wanted to tell me what her type is. I've already used a lot of games to make her answer the question, but she just doesn't want to tell me.
Today is a weekend, and now she's here laying down on her couch while watching a Netflix Orginal movie.
"Yeonjun-ah," she said.
"What?"
"Can you make me a hot coffee?" She asked. I raised my eyebrow and crossed my arms on my shoulders.
"I'm your angel, not your maid," I said. She furrowed her eyebrows and looked at me. I just looked straight at her, making her know that I'm not going to make one for her.
She groaned and rolled her eyes at me. She went to the kitchen, and I went to the kitchen counter to watch her do it. Then, I looked at the movie she was watching.
"Ouch!" I rushed towards her, as I heard her cry in pain.
She accidentally poured the hot water into her hands. She's a very clumsy woman.
I held her hand and immediately helped her heal the pain. In an instant, she was feeling all better.
"Be more careful Yeji," I told her, and she just mocked me.
"I thought you're my protector, but why didn't you protect me?" She pouted her lips and looked at me. I was looking down at her, and I suddenly felt a strong thump on my chest. What?
I looked away and went back to the kitchen counter.
"I am," I said, and cleared my throat. Woah it's getting hot in here. It's already fall season, but why is it so hot?
I looked back at her and saw that she was trying to reach for a jar on the cabinet. The glass jar was about to fall, and I again rushed towards her and helped her reach the jar.
That's when I realized that I wrapped my arm around her, to keep her safe from the jar. She was staring at me in shock, and I was too. Then, I felt it again. The strong thump in my chest, but now it makes me hard to breathe. What is happening to me?
I can feel the sweat coming out of my forehead. Why is it so hot?!
I slowly let her go and put the glass jar down on the counter.
"I told you to be more careful," I said without looking at her. The situation is making me feel awkward, so I went back to the couch and pretended to watch the movie. The truth is, I was asking myself what kind of feeling was that?
I held on to my chest and felt the strong beating. I have to ask archangel Taehyung what's going on with me.
"Hey Yeo—" before she could utter a phrase sentence, I cut her off.
"My senior's calling me. Gotta go. Bye," I said, and left the unit as fast as I could. I don't even know why I was rushing. It wasn't even an emergency. I even lied to my senior oh goodness.
"Lying I see," I heard Hyunjin said. So he's here again.
"Go away Hyunjin," I said in a serious tone.
"You know Jun. You should know first the whole story before telling it to the girl. You might get in trouble if you don't," He said. What did he just say?
Before I could ask him, he disappeared in the dark. I brushed off the thoughts of what he said and went to my senior.
"Yeonjun?" He said confusingly.
"Why are you here? I didn't call you," He said again while putting down the reports of the guardian angels he's managing.
"I need to ask you something..." I said while panting. I rushed so much to come here that it got me so tired.
"What is it?" He asked, and crossed his arms on his chest.
"Why is my chest beating so hard?" I asked him.
"It's obviously because you're tired."
"No," I said and stood up straight to face him.
"When I was with Yeji earlier. I saved her from a falling glass jar, and I obliviously wrapped my arm around her. When I realized I was doing that, I suddenly felt a strong fast thump inside my chest." I explained while speaking rapidly. I never thought I could do that.
"Oh boy..." He said, and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"What? Why?" I asked him.
"I think you're falling for her. I think you're falling for Yeji," He said, and my eyes widened in shock.
I am... what?
