This scenario and the one following after are requests from @MylaByers. I hope you enjoy them!
It was one of those moments in which my colleagues asked me to work their shift. Since I would be paid for that job, I never minded doing it and making my colleagues happy with it. But the problem was that I got so busy that I barely had time to take a break during my job and once I was home, I was too tired to cook and would either go directly to bed or eat snacks to get rid of the hunger.
Not to forget, I had a wedding to prepare.
At that point Seiya was my fiancé and he had to go to Greece for a short trip, since the other saints were occupied with something else. When he returned from his short mission in Sanctuary, Seiya decided to pick me up from work and that was when he saw my sorry state. Worried, he asked "What happened? You don't look so good."
My face was pale, I had dark circles under my eyes and both my hair and clothes were dishevelled. In a tired voice, I started to explain "I had quite the rough week..." And before I knew it, I already fainted into his arms.
It was quite ironic, if I think about it. Normally, it is me sitting at the hospital bed, chastising Seiya about his reckless behaviour.
Oh, how the tables had turned.
The moment I woke up in the hospital, I had to explain to both the doctor and Seiya what happened the past week and I got an earful from Seiya "How can you skip on food?! You could have starved to death! That's it! No more work for the next week! You need to get some proper rest! And this time I will make sure that you are nursed back to health!"
Any other time and I would have been happy about it. But as good as I knew Seiya, I already dreaded what would happen for the following week.
I think I might actually starve to death...
If not, then food poisoning.
I was discharged from the hospital and Seiya took me to his apartment. Ever since Seiya proposed to me, we started to move my things into his apartment, so I could slowly move into his place. I already slept at his place a couple of times but in all that time it was always me that prepared meals for the both of us.
Does he even know how to cook rice?
I laid in Seiya's bed and looked to the small kitchen in the corner of the studio, watching Seiya pull out the rice cooker. Because of my malnutrition, I felt quite faint and didn't have the energy to stand on my own. Still, I was awake enough to give simple instructions like "Wash the rice first.", "Don't put in more water than your first knuckle." or "Crack the egg on the smooth surface."
Seiya struggled very much to do as told, after all he is no cook and it is mostly me that prepares meals for him. Otherwise he would visit other places to get his food, like Hyoga's bar, since he also serves food with his drinks. Anyway, I could only hope that Seiya wouldn't burn too many pots because in the end, it would be me that would have to clean them. Eventually, my eyes got too heavy to keep them open and I fell asleep on the bed.
When I woke up, I felt Seiya shaking my shoulder gently "The food is ready." He told me and caressed my back, making sure that I would reach the dining area without tripping. Once seated on the floor with the low table in front of me, I saw a steaming bowl of rice and all kinds of dishes, freshly cooked and steaming warm. Everything looked so good that I knew that Seiya must have ordered them.
Turning to him, he gave me a cheeky grin "I had to visit Hyoga's place for help."
I chuckled and picked up my chopsticks to taste one of the dishes "It tastes great!"
"Perfect!" Placing his arm around my shoulders, he exclaimed "Because he taught me how to make them!"
"Really?" I wondered out loud "In one day?"
His smile faltered and he muttered "Okay, not as good as these ones... They were cooked by Hyoga..."
I chuckled again and placed my head on his shoulder "Thank you."
With red cheeks, he placed his cheek on my head and watched me eat the meal. The same meal was the one Hyoga made because Seiya begged him for help.
The next day I was sitting on the low table with my laptop to do some work but when Seiya returned after a short lesson with Hyoga, he gasped in shock "Why aren't you in bed?!"
Smiling nervously, I tried to calm him down "I just want to make sure that my colleagues don't have too much of a gap with my absence."
"No, no, no!" He then placed his palms on my shoulders and started to shove me to bed "You already overworked yourself for one week! Take your medicine and then get back to sleep!"
I tried to get some work in for two more times that day until I received an email from my workplace, reassuring me that I could take the week off. As you can guess, Seiya stored my laptop away and made video calls with Hyoga, so I couldn't get back to my laptop.
All in all, it was a hard week for the two of us.
But I cherish that moment of us already acting like a married couple.
