Dinner that night was filled with laughter, the normal awkward pauses from mentioning a lost loved one, and Ron's favorite; food.

   "Mmm Mum! This chicken's great!" Ron yelled between bites.

"Thank you Ronald dear. It's Harry's recipe. Now then, finish up your dinner!" Molly said happily.

They'd by now all finished. (Except Ron. Harry and Hermione had to pull him away from the table.)
They were all just, 'chilling' you could say. Arthur and Percy were talking about the Ministry, Ginny, George, and Charlie were talking about the joke shop, Bill and Fleur were talking in hushed voices and Fleur was giggling oddly, Hermione was trying to explain Muggle technology to Ron, and Luna was talking to Molly about her father and Nargle- hunting. Harry however, was actually smiling. Not a fake smile, a real one. He was also humming and had a navy blue notebook with tints of real and silver on it. He was writing avidly in the notebook.

  "Hey Harry, what're you writing?" George yelled from across the room.

Molly looked up too. "Yes, dear. I heard you humming too. What are you singing?"

Harry's eyes went unfocused and then widened slightly in panic. "N-nothing!" He said hurriedly, dropping his notebook in the process. "It's nothing important, really. Just writing about...house plans. For my house in the future. Gotta have it planned out yo-"

  Bill frowned. "Harry, what did we say?  You don't need to lie to us."

"Y-yeah, I know. And I'm sorry. It's just-just-"

"A habit. But you can break it." Hermione broke in.

He nodded.

"So Harry. What were you writing?" Charlie asked.

"I-" Harry blushed and then mumbled, "I write songs, poems, that kinda thing. It's stupid, I know-"

"It's not stupid, Harry. It's brilliant really. Not everyone can do it well." Percy said hesitantly.

Harry smiled. "Thanks Percy."

"Well? What're you waiting for? Sing!" Ginny pleaded.

"What?! No. No way. I've only ever sang to Teddy. I can't-I can't sing!" Harry exclaimed.

"Oh yes you can, 'Ar. I 'ave 'eard you with Teddy. In fact...I'm going to Floo Andy and Teddy 'ere."
Fleur decided firmly.

"Okay, but I'm not singing!" Harry yelled.

Luna pulled him up by his collar. "Yes, yes you are singing Harry. You'd do it for Teddy and I wouldn't you?" She said it all in an even still airy and peaceful voice, George laughed.

"Yes. Fine. But just 'cause you're both so cute." Harry sighed.

Ron and Hermione chuckled.

Minutes later, Andy, Fleur, and Teddy came in the room.

"Hello Harry. I heard you're singing for us." Andromeda said smirking. "I remember you vowing never to sing for anybody except Teddy."

"Yeah well I-er. I'm only doing it 'cause of Teddy and Luna. Anyway," he continued, sitting down in his chair,"I'm going to do a song-"

"Wait! I wanna pick." Ginny demanded.

Harry rolled his eyes. "Fine. Gimme a minute. Bill, can you c'mere a minute?" He asked, pointing to the kitchen.

They left and while there Harry said,"Can you do some spells on this so they can't see the girl or any mentions of her. I don't- I don't wanna answer their questions yet."

Bill frowned. "Is she Valerie? That Muggle?"

Harry nodded. "Yeah. Just don't wanna talk about it."

Bill did as asked and they went back in the living room to continue.

"Alright Gin," Harry said tossing the book to her. "Pick one."

After a few seconds she said, " Okay. Fight Song.

Harry nodded. "Okay. I wrote this during the war. So let's start." He brought a guitar out from behind the chair and began strumming.

"Huh? I'm confused." Ron said.
Hermione slapped a hand over his mouth, awestruck by Harry's voice.

"It's kinda hard not to when you're yelling." George joked, earning him a glare from Molly.

"He's always so strong." Fleur thought.

Losing friends

Ron looked guilty.

and I'm chasing sleep

Hermione nodded sadly. Harry was such an insomniac.

Everybody's worried about me

Molly and Arthur nodded.

He finished strumming all-day hus face was red, turning redder when they clapped.

"Guys, stop! Just...pick another." Harry said.

He tossed the book to Luna.

"Umm. How about...All this time?"

Harry nodded, faintly red. "Sure. I remember the moment.

"Wait. When'd you write this one?" Ginny asked.

"I wrote this summer of sixth year." Harry said.

I remember the pain.

I was only a boy.

But I grew up that day.

Molly, Arthur and Bill shook their heads sadly.  Harry grew up too fast, not even having a choice.

Tears were falling

"You never cry!" Ron exclaimed.

I know you saw me.

Hiding there in my bedroom

They all frowned here.

That's when I met you. 

Harry was getting lost in the music and had a face of anguish on.

Bill knew this had to be about that Muggle, Valerie.

Teddy cooed happily. Andy smiled and set him next to Harry.

We've come a long way from where we began.

"This is so sad," Hermione whispered to Ginny, who simply nodded.

Harry grinned, stood up, and then began to rap, Teddy on his hip.

Damn, who knew?
All the planes we flew

"What's a plane?" Asked Ron.
Hermione rolled her eyes. "Like a huge, flying car."

Good things we've been through

Luna smiled fondly. Harry loved his family.

Harry sat back down.

They smiled broadly at Harry.

He took a breath, sang the chorus again, and finally stopped.

"So. That's that. I am done. Goodnight everyone. Andy, wanna stay at Grimmauld for the night?"

She agreed, so Harry, Teddy carried by Andy, and Luna slept at Grimmauld Place that night, refreshed and ready for tomorrow.
