Lucy's POV

"Hello?" the voice on the other line echoed into the phone.

"I'm under your bed right now. Stop slurping your strawberries." I spoke in a deep voice to scare Erza, and tried my best to not giggle.

It worked since the line quickly cut off.

"Why did she hang up?" Natsu asked as he began dialing the next phone number. We pressed the star to hide our actual caller IDs.

"I don't know. She either believed it or didn't. I'll never know."

"Who is this?" Gray's voice could be heard in the room since Natsu put it on speaker.

"Hello, this is the stripper company 'Chill' and we were wondering if you were interested in working here. We're hiring new people."

"How do you know my number?" Gray questioned us in a monotone voice.

"We were informed about you Mr.Fullbuster and we find your 'skill' to 'strip at any moment' fascinating."

Gray sighed before saying, "Natsu I know it's you. You're such an idiot, your voice gave it away."

No One's POV

The following week, school started again and everyone's old routines began.

The bell had already chimed, informing all the students that class was starting. A very confused and worried Natsu was waiting at the front of the school gates for his Lucy. He kept looking around for any sign of her. He kept sending her messages, but she wouldn't respond to any of them. He tried calling, but she wouldn't pick up.

After twenty minutes passed, he decided to go back into class, where he received detention for being late.

"Hey Jellal, have you seen Erza or Lucy?" Natsu asked Jellal. He wasn't even focused on school, and his main priority was Lucy.

Jellal shook his head and it was evident on his face that he was just as worried, "I went Erza's house and knocked but her mom said she wasn't there at the moment."

Natsu and Jellal continued asking their friends if they had seen Lucy or Erza anywhere, but no one had, and in one occasion Laxus yelled at them and told them to "grow the hell up and stop worrying over them."

Despite this, Natsu couldn't help but worry. Lucy always texted him both in the morning and at night.

.

Finally after eight dreadful hours of school, Natsu and Jellal rushed over to Lucy's house. They frantically knocked, and the door was quickly opened, where a maid by the name of 'Aries' told them that Lucy and Erza were in the living room recovering.

Natsu's heart skipped a beat and he rushed over to Lucy's side.

The sight he saw, made his stomach drop. Resting on the couch was Lucy, both her eyes were covered by bandages and she had  stitches on her right cheek. Ezra sat next to her, she had bruises running down her arms and looked sick.

It was a quiet for a moment, before Jellal spoke up, startling Erza. "W-what happened?"

Erza's eyes trailed over to Natsu, before she gave him a small smile, "Don't worry too much buddy. She just got a little hurt on our last 'mission'."

Natsu quickly ran over to Lucy's side and rested his hand over her own and listened to Erza's explanation.

Flashback (two days prior)

"So... which job do you want to go on?" Lucy asked Erza as they were examining the board that had 'jobs'. However, these weren't your typical jobs. They stood before a request board that had cases such as bandit cases, missing person cases, and other darker requests that needed to be solved.

Erza shrugged, "Pick out an easy one since it's just you and me today. Yukino and Kagura already went on a missing person case."

"What ever happened to Mavis?"

"Well since she's over 18 and an adult, she was cut off from the people that had taken care of her. That's all there is to it."

"Is this one alright?" Lucy asked as she pointed to a bandit case. The 'mission' as they referred to it as, asked "for someone to stop a trio that jumped innocent people at late hours."

Erza thought for a moment going over the possible scenarios in her head that could occur, "Sure. It says it's near the outskirts of town, and it's pretty lively down there, so I don't think there's anything to worry about."

The same day, they went over to investigate. The sun was quickly setting, Erza and Lucy were hiding in one of the alleys to search and find the bandits."

A little past ten, a sketchy group of three people slowly walked around the stores. A woman came walking past them, pushing her stroller along the way. The group quickly gathered around her, startling her, and the men began shouting vulgar things at her. It was at this point that Lucy and Erza agreed to step up.

Flashing their badges, they ordered the men to stop and that they were under arrest.

Of course the men resisted and lunged for the two young girls. The women and her young child ran away from scene.

Lucy successfully 'lucy kicked' two of the bandits on the ground, while Erza flipped the remaining bandit, causing him to fall to the ground on his back.

Lucy started handcuffing all of them, "Well that was easy! We did i-" she was never able to finish her sentence, because at that moment three other bandits had joined in. One of them hand ran up to Lucy and tried hitting her with a golf club on her back, but at that moment she had turned around, she received a blow to her eyes by the golf club. Hard.

She fell back and was immediately knocked out. The three new men quickly got close to her and began kicking her as she lay on the ground. Erza, faster than light, managed to get them off her. Erza unfortunately received a couple kicks and cuts on her arms and stomach during the fight.

During her fight with the last man, who revealed his name to be Jackal, had a knife in hand and tried aiming for Erza's face. After Erza kicked his hand, he threw his knife back which happened to land on Lucy's face. It slid off her face and ran down her cheek, leaving a trail of blood behind.

After the whole ordeal, Erza called the police, so they could drive them away.
