Hey! This is a small collab/extra chapter to sorta help stave things off while I come up with the next parts!

I'm currently planning the second half of the story out, BUT I do have a potential idea for an ending, although it's a sorta half good half tragic one haha!

We'll see if I end up using it or not. If I do, the most I can say without spoiling is that it may have to do with something BBI [Bigger Body Initiative] Catnap has previously mentioned about The Prototype.

Anyways, let's start! This'll be a shorter one!

Catnap's head hurt as he held it, a small hiss escaping him. For a moment, he began to fear that The Prototype's grasp on him was returning, forcing him to open up his eyes.

...Only to see that he was in a roomy house. One that wasn't cartoonish, similar to the factory he and Dogday had originated from. Beside him, Dogday was asleep in his own bed.

Catnap shook him awake, the dog blinking as his eyes fluttered open.

"Wha- huh? What's up...kitty?"

The dog mumbled sleepily, gently rubbing his eyes with his paws as he yawned out loud.

"Oh..."

He said out loud, observing the unfamiliar house before them. He saw two beds, alongside a closet, a tv, and a dresser among other things.

Wait...did someone live here?!

"How...did we even get here? One second we're in the cartoon world, the next-"

Dogday jumped into Catnap's arms as he heard a voice familiar to his, alongside some creaking as he, and seemingly another walked up some stairs.

"That can't be Cameron...is it?"

"No, he left earlier."

"Hey! Who's up there?!"

The two voices called out, one sounding similar to Catnap's, and the other sounding similar to Dogday's. Catnap held the dog in his arms, in order to make him feel protected of course. But there was no place to hide.

He wasn't familiar with this room, so he'd need some time to observe and think befo-

Crreeeeakkk.

-before the door opens...

Before the two stood two, taller versions of themselves. They had a cartoony look sinilar to the two's cartoon forms, which they were still in. However, they were small, unlike the other two were tall, almost like their original bigger bodies, although the two were shorter.

The taller Dogday had a backpack on, and the taller Catnap didn't. The Dogday wore a white shirt with some blue highlights in addition to some brown shorts.

The Catnap wore a black hoodie, with a yellow star in middle, in addition to some black pants. Their eyes widened as they spotted the two.

The taller Dogday's however turned into an expression of adoration.

"...AWWWWW ARE THOSE MINI VERSIONS OF US?! THEY'RE SO CUTE!!"

Dogday yelled out in a high voice, taking off his backpack as he jumped onto the bed the two were on.

He squeezed Catnap's cheeks, causing the cat to hiss a little, especially since he accidentally pinched one of the kitty's whiskers.

He then began to rub Dogday's head, which the dog would normally like...if this weren't a weird situation overall.

"CATNAP CAN WE KEEP THEM?!! PLEASEE HUN?! THEY COULD BE OUR KIDS OR SOMETHING!! THEY'RE SO CUTTEEEEE!"

The other Catnap let out a soft chuckle, sitting down besides the excited canine, whose tail was swishing all over the place. He tapped his shoulder.

"Calm down. You're scaring them."

Catnap wanted to make a comment on being their kids, to state that he's an adult himself and likely older than the two considering that they were likely high school students, but he held off on it.

...Especially since that'd require him to explain the factory, the bigger bodies initiative...wasn't worth the stress.

At least, not yet, that is.

"Oh! Sorry, I get awfully excited sometimes, heh heh...the two of you are just SO cute!"

The taller Dogday explained in a calmer voice, his tail still wagging a little as he stared at the two.

Catnap cleared his throat.

"Well uh...taller versions of us, we don't know how we got here, and we kind of just...woke up in your bed. And like the other world we got transported into, we have no idea how to get out so...I guess we're stuck here."

"...Again."

Dogday added, earning a small nod from the small feline in response.

"So...uh, would you welcome us into your humble-"

"YES!!"

The taller Dogday yelled, causing the two to flinch backwards in response.

"Oops! Sorry! Did it again haha! But yes, of course you're welcome! Besides...how hard could it be to take care of two mini versions of ourselves? We practically know each other already!"

Dogday kind of wanted to argue against the other him, considering that he never recalled getting that worked up over seeing something cute, but...then again, where else would the two go?

The streets?

"Right. Well, bigger me, that sounds great! I assume the two of you go to school so uh...you two should probably get to that. Catnap and I can cook for ourselves. We're grown adults."

The two seemed surprised for a moment when Dogday mentioned being an adult; but they nodded. The taller Dogday grabbed his backpack in a hurry, checking his phone.

"Right, we should-"

...

"OH SHOOT CATNAP! WE HAVE 25 MINUTES! WE'RE GONNA BE LATE! HURRY! LETS GO!"

A jolt of energy reached the cat as he hurried downstairs with the dog to grab his own bag. The two could hear the others scramble as they finished whatever they were doing up and rushed out the door, slamming it behind them.

Dogday and Catnap stared at each other, letting out a mutual giggle as they made their way down the steps.

Everything in the house felt large due to the small sizes of their cartoon forms. Still, they found their way to the kitchen with ease.

"Alright. I'm thinking that I could cook up some breakfast. Maybe some Pancakes, Bacon, and Eggs. It isn't too costly, and I'm sure that they wouldn't mind."

"Oh! Great idea, Catnap! Now let's see if..."

The two walked up to the fridge, staring up at the two handles as they nervously chuckled.

"...We can even get to the fridge..."

This is going to be a looong morning, isn't it?
