"Akuma, you have a message."

"Oh boy... what's it gonna be this time, Eriedrone?"

"The kyurangers were spotted on Earth. Don Armage wants you to go and make sure they don't find the last kyuranger there if they truly are there."

Onyx smiled. "Finally, some action at last."

It had been annoying not getting to do much. Having to basically babysit Stinger was boring, and annoying. He was constantly so close to getting himself killed half the time. It was amazing no one realized he was spying on them. Onyx had figured that out quite fast. They had no plan to ever inform anyone else about it though. Nor had they even told Stinger they very much knew what he was doing.

"Are we not going to do anything about them ourselves?" Stinger spoke up.

Eriedrone shook his head. "Not yet. Soon, we will make our move."

"Fine." Stinger didn't seem the most pleased by that.

"Disappointed you don't get to fight them again?" Onyx teased, their ears flicking in amusement.

Stinger grew embarrassed. "N-no... I just want to do something exciting too!"

Onyx chuckled. "Sure, kid. Maybe next time you can come along."

They left the ship and took off to Earth. This would certainly be interesting. They hadn't been on Earth since... they spoke with Orion. It was hard to be on that planet knowing everything. Knowing that Tsurugi was somewhere and yet they couldn't do anything about it yet.

Onyx landed on Earth and decided to go on their own to find the kyurangers. They definitely did not like the governor who was in this area at all. The less they had to interact with Yumepakkun the better. He was a nuisance at best.

"What's wrong Raptor? You seem upset."

Aha. Onyx found them. They looked at the kyurangers. Not all of them were on this planet. Did they not want to send them all at once? Champ, Lucky, Garu, Spada, and Hammie were there. There was also an... android. An android that... was based off of Tsurugi's designs. Apparently her name was Raptor.

"It's nothing." Raptor replied.

She seemed hesitant. That thought was quickly removed as all of sudden a scream broke out. Was Yumepakkun doing something nearby? That seemed the most logical assumption.

"A scream!" Garu exclaimed.

"No duh, idiot." Onyx whispered under their breath.

The kyurangers rushed off to find the source of the noise. Onyx followed behind them. That android wasn't a kyuranger. Was she able to fight as well? She didn't seem it.

Onyx arrived on the scene just in time to see Lucky drop-kick Yumepakkun.

"What the hell did you do?!"

"What are you doing? How dare you interrupt my meal!" Yumepakkun was mad.

"Meal?" Champ repeated.

"There's nothing more delicious than the dreams of children."

Onyx could think of a lot of things that were way better than that. This guy was weird.

"Those aren't for eating!" Spada stated.

"I'll never forgive someone who takes dreams away from children!" Lucky declared. "Let's go everyone!"

The kyurangers transformed. As they rushed into battle, Onyx looked for where Raptor had ended up at. She was hiding behind a car. Okay, that meant she definitely was not able to fight well.

Raptor moved to a tree and continued to watch. She seemed dreamy about them fighting. Did she want to be able to fight like they were? The least she could do was learn some basic fighting skills already then.

Yumepakkun noticed her and seemed to be interested in something. Did he see a dream from her that looked good to eat as well? Onyx sighed. They really didn't want to have to deal with this but something was telling them not to let him hurt the android. Was it the kyutama signalling she was important or was it them feeling protective because she came from Tsurugi's own design?

"What is your dream?" Yumepakkun asked.

Onyx growled. The other kyurangers were too occupied to notice their comrade was in danger. But if they jumped in they'd have to explain themselves later.

Or... they could transform. Onyx smirked and pulled out their kyutama. They activated it and transformed. They summoned their sword and jumped in front of Raptor, knocking Yumepakkun away.

"Ow, that hurt!" He exclaimed.

Good riddance. Onyx wanted to speak but knew better. That would not go over well if someone recognized their voice.

"E-eh? A new kyuranger?" Raptor said.

Onyx attacked Yumepakkun and made him back away. He was unnerved. Especially as the other kyurangers realized what was going on. They started shooting at him.

"I better get out of here for now." Yumepakkun said and then bounced away.

"You're back." Champ stared them down.

The kyurangers all undid their transformations and gathered around Onyx. Onyx wasn't sure what exactly they should do. They couldn't reveal their identity.

"U-um... thank you for your help." Raptor said.

Onyx faced her and nodded.

"Raptor, why didn't you run away?" Spada questioned.

"W-well..."

"You shouldn't be in a dangerous place like this. If they hadn't jumped in, you could've gotten seriously hurt." Spada continued to scold her.

"Are you... going to uh, show us who you are?" Garu asked Onyx.

"A tail..."

Oh no. Lucky saw their tail. If anyone was going to put it together it was him. Onyx grabbed Lucky and drug him away. Garu and Champ moved to follow so Onyx held out their sword at them, daring them to follow. Both backed down.

Onyx drug Lucky out of sight from everyone before undoing their transformation. Lucky's eyes widened.

"I was right!" Lucky said. "Alright, lucky!"

"Quiet! No one can know about this." Onyx got in his face. "If Jark Matter finds out I have this they are going to kill me. Do you understand?"

"Then... why don't you join us?" Lucky suggested.

"I wish it were that easy, kid. I need to stay with them for now. So please, I ask you keep this between us. Don't let anyone else know."

"O-okay. Are you-"

"I am not the ninth kyuranger."

"Do you know who is?"

Onyx sighed. "That android is giving me a feeling I only have gotten from the other kyurangers prior to them getting their kyutamas."

"So... Raptor is... going to be a kyuranger?" Lucky asked.

"Possibly. She hasn't reached the stage yet that I feel confident giving her one but the potential is there. She needs to be supported more in this dream and maybe that will make it happen."

"Okyuu!"

"O... Okyuu?" Onyx repeated in confusion.

"Oh, uh... that's how we say roger."

"Right. Sure. What ever floats your boat." Onyx sighed. "Get back to your friends. Don't tell them a thing other than I am not who you are looking for."

"I promise! See you around, Akuma!" Lucky smiled and then rushed back to his friends.

He really was weird. There was no denying that. There was also a part of him that reminded of Onyx of Tsurugi still. Onyx shrugged and went to go find where the hell Yumepakkun had gone off to now. Probably his room. That seemed most likely.

Onyx walked in on him having a temper tantrum. How childish.

"Yumepakkun."

"A-ah! Akuma-sama!" Yumepakkun quickly bowed to them. "I am so sorry. The kyurangers got the better of me, but I will take them down next time!"

"See that you do." Onyx replied. "Otherwise maybe I'll end your pathetic existence if they don't beat me to it."

Yumepakkun gulped and nodded.

"Now, let's see your brilliant plan to catch them."

Yumepakkun nodded and lead them to an outdoor theatre area. He stood on the stage with his soldiers and waited. Onyx stood nearby and watched. This should be something. Considering how the first scuffle had gone, Onyx doubted that this governor was going to have any chance at winning this fight.

The kyurangers appeared from a stairwell on the edge of the theatre. Onyx smirked. Time to see what would happen.

"You're getting in the way again?" Yumepakkun exclaimed.

Wasn't that their entire point of being here was to have the kyurangers get in the way? What was he doing? Trying to antagonize them to fight him?

"Let's go everyone!" Lucky said.

The five of them transformed. They still didn't do their intros. Did they decide better of doing so?

"Get them!" Yumepakkun ordered and rushed at them, his soldiers following.

Onyx stayed back as the fight began. Was Raptor still around here? They wanted to make sure she was safe and if she was ready for her kyutama yet. She was hiding and watching everyone still.

Her potential was stronger now. Onyx walked over to her. Raptor tensed up at their presence.

"Relax. I'm not interested in fighting you or playing dirty." Onyx stated, holding up their hands. "This seems like a good view to watch the fight at. Care if I join you?"

Raptor just nodded. She was definitely too afraid to say otherwise.

Yumepakkun noticed the two of them. He decided attacking Raptor was a wise choice as his army thinned out way too fast. He charged at her. Onyx sighed. They stepped in front of Raptor and blocked his sword.

"Raptor!" Lucky noticed and jumped in to attack Yumepakkun.

"Hey, Raptor." Onyx turned their head to look at her.

"Y-yes?" Raptor seemed very confused over what was happening.

That was to be expected. Why was someone like them showing any sympathy to a kyuranger? They should be attacking and killing them all.

"You wanna fight with them, don't you?" Onyx asked, nodding to where the others were still fighting at.

"She can't!" Spada came over to help Lucky fight. "It's too dangerous."

"Weren't you the one who didn't believe you could be a kyuranger? You're one to talk." Onyx shot back. "If she wants to do it, you should give her support. Telling her to give up on her dreams won't do anything but make her resent you and look down on herself."

"Eh...?" Spada seemed conflicted now.

"Well said, Akuma!" Lucky stated.

"Raptor." Spada faced Raptor. "What do you want to do?"

"I... I want to fight with you all!" Raptor said with determination.

Onyx smirked as she glowed brightly now. "I like that determination, kid."

They glanced at where Yumepakkun was. He wasn't even here. Had he actually left to get more help? How laughable. At least that made it easier to hand over the kyutama to Raptor. Though... were the others of their group watching? If so, they were probably so confused right now unless they were aware of what they could do.

Onyx summoned the final of the kyutamas for the kyurangers as told by the legend. They offered it to Raptor with a smile. Raptor stared at them in disbelief for a moment before taking the kyutama.

"You can... give kyutamas?" Raptor questioned.

Onyx nodded. "Yep. Keep it a secret."

Raptor nodded.

"Here you go, Raptor." Lucky handed her a Seiza Blaster.

"Thank you!" Raptor took it and put it on.

She transformed as well. Now that they were all there, they opted to do their intro call. Onyx rolled their eyes and stood off to the side.

Yumepakkun returned with more soldiers. They fought once more. Onyx opted to observe this fight as well. They were impressed with how well Raptor was adapting to being able to fight now. Wonderful. At least she was able to hold her own now.

Onyx got a call to return to a place for a call from Don Armage. They left the fight and went to their ship. They connected to a call.

"What's up?"

"Are the kyurangers truly on Earth?" Don Armage asked.

Onyx nodded. "Yes. And I don't see the current governor fighting them as beating them. They have the last kyuranger unfortunately. Well, you know what I mean. All nine have their kyutamas now."

"I'll be sending Eriedrone to come aid you. We must not let them discover the Argo ship before we do."

"Of course. I await his arrival." Onyx nodded.

"Do not inform either of them of what we are protecting from the kyurangers. Refer to it solely as the secret on Earth."

"Understood. They'll be none the wiser to just what is here." Onyx promised.

The fact that Don Armage still feared them awakening Tsurugi really said something. Onyx had a feeling the kyurangers would soon begin their task of finding the kyutamas needed in order to get the ship. They had to be aware of the legend after all.

And only they knew that there was a secret fourth kyutama. One that only they still knew of and would continue to only know of until the time was right. Though... once they did hand over the kyutama to the kyurangers, what would happen? Once Tsurugi was awakened, things were definitely going to get even more crazy than they were.

"Tsurugi... I can't wait to meet you again."

Onyx knew most likely the day they would come face to face with each other once more that a battle awaited them. Tsurugi would almost definitely attack them for their betrayal. Would the kyurangers try to intervene when that happened? That would be something for them all to witness. None of them, except Stinger, had any idea of just how dark their past was in terms of Tsurugi.
