This is a request from a viewer of my other story, I don't know if they want to be shouted out or not. Kite died and Gon was desperate for revenge. He turned to the only people he knew could actually help him kill the Chimera Ants. He couldn't think of any other way to leave Killua behind so he shut off his emotions, like he'd seen Killua do before killing an enemy. The story of this takes place in the Chimera Ant arc in HxH (Hunter x Hunter). And this is going to be a what if scenario story that involves Pokkle & Ponzu. And what if they're the only two that have survived so far and not get killed by the chimera ants? Pokkle ends up getting captured by the ants after killing off two of the low tier ants that were going after Ponzu. Ponzu calls out for help by sending one of her bees to find a Hunter with a strong aura. The bee senses a pro hunter near by and heads back to Ponzu to her know of the pro hunter. Ponzu goes to meet up with the pro hunter and recognizes him from the 287th hunter exam, Xander who met her and Pokkle and became close friends. When Xander learns from Ponzu that Pokkle got captured by the chimera ants, he does everything in his power and stop at nothing to rescue his close friend. After rescuing Pokkle was a success, Xander takes it upon himself by training his close friends to become better hunters and get stronger to kill the chimera ants that slaughtered Pokkle and Ponzu's teammates. The trio unexpectedly run into Pitou, one of the surviving Royal guards to the ant king Mereum, who died of radiation poisoning and gave Pitou one last request to live freely. The trio take it upon themselves after noticing that Pitou has nowhere to go, and decides to have her tag along with them.
