So this is just to get an idea of where we are the actual anime/manga haha because I know when we focus mainly on what Rin is doing where we are in the anime/manga can get a little confusing to figure out.

Kakashi

The plan was simple. Yamato built the centre point and we'd search a 5 kilometer radius before returning and moving the centre-point to begin the search again. The strategy was to be repeated until something came up.

"Starting now our main objective is to find Itachi and take hm into custody." I started.

"The Akatsuki is rounding up the tailed beasts. We believe that they may have already infiltrated the land of fire and are looking for Naruto" I continued glancing at him, but he didn't even flinch.

"Remember Itachi is originally from the hidden leaf village, three years ago he came back for Naruto and we can assume he's on the move to return the village once again." I explained.

"That means Sasuke will be close by" Sakura added and I nodded.

"Following Itachi" I agreed.

"I'm still concerned about the protocol Kakashi-Sensei, 5 kilometers is out of range for our wireless comm units and if we're all split up like that it could be dangerous. Rules dictate a minimum of two man squads for patrols, so..."

"Sakura" Yamato interrupted and she turned to face him.

"Try not be so worried" He assured her as I started hand signs.

"Look" I hit my hand against the roof, my ninja hounds appearing around us.

"Alright let me explain the team rosters for our patrols, to be safe I'm assigning two ninja hounds to each team. So please play nice okay" I explained as the hounds chose their teams.

"What about me?" Naruto asked noticing his lack of team.

"You're a jinchuriki and thus a target, to be safe you'll be escorted by Yamato and our sensory type Hinata and only one ninja hound" I told him.

"Now being ninja hound users Kiba and I will only have one dog" I finished.

"So we're all set and ready to go" Kiba agreed.

"Listen, all of you, your highest priority is to track Itachi and Sasuke's locations. Under no circumstances are you to engage, if you do encounter either one of them you are to verify their location and return here to the central point. Especially you Naruto, don't go running off" I emphasized as I looked towards him.

"I know that, don't' worry" He replied firmly.

"Kakashi-Sensei" I glanced to Sakura.

"All this talk of searching for Sasuke and Itachi but you haven't told us what to do if we run into Rin" Everyone fell silent then, not meeting my gaze. I sighed.

"Rin has disappeared" I started gaining more of there attention.

"She hasn't killed anyone recently, hasn't been spotted in any villages and even our best intel hasn't heard a word of her whereabouts" I explained.

"She could be with Itachi or Sasuke" Naruto pointed out and I shook my head.

"If she had been then her name would have been mentioned in the report of Orochimaru's death, and if she was with the Akatuski there would have been some mention of her aiding in the capture of tailed beasts" I replied.

"So, so no one knows where Rin is?" Sakura asked slowly and I nodded.

"You don't think she could be..."

"No" I said flatly before Yamato could finish.

"If Rin doesn't want to be found she won't be, but if any of us run into her by chance I doubt she'd be a threat. She's probably looking for the same people. We'll follow the same protocol" I said firmly.

"Right!" They replied in unison.

"Now scatter!"

Suigetsu

The worst part of being part of Sasuke's whole team had to be the errand running. Actually scratch that. The worst part was his no killing rule. We had one goal, find Itachi and the rest of us didn't even get a cut of the action. It was all so Sasuke could get his revenge or whatever. But I guess you could say we had one and a half goals, the other half being find any information we can on Rin. Sasuke was concerned, about what exactly I wasn't sure. It could be for Rin's well-being but I'm pretty sure he just wanted an insurance policy against Itachi.

"And just who the heck are you?" I glanced up, pausing as I walked down the steps. I reached behind me for my blade.

"He'll forgive me if it's a lackey" I muttered to myself, chuckling slightly. It only too one swing to bring him down, his large body slammed against the door before falling lifeless onto the ground. I guess he didn't expect such a blow. I pushed open the door with ease and slowly stepped inside.

"Huh, who the heck are you!?" Another lackey. I raised my blade, advancing quickly and managed to snag the guys neck in the hole of the blade. I slammed him into the wall catching the second guy with the cutout near the handle of the blade.

"You're that Akatsuki's...wait, what's his name again" I cursed, Sasuke gave me the difficult one.

"Kaku, Kakukta, Kakushi or something like that" The man seemed to know what I was talking about as he looked up.

"Kakuzu" He managed to spit out.

"Yeah! That's it, thanks" I replied.

"You're one of kakuzu's henchmen. Some kind of book keeper isn't that right?" I asked and he nodded quickly.

"L-Look I'll tell you anything you want just don't k-kill me" He begged and I smirked.

"That's a good boy, now keep talking" I threatened and he gulped.

"I-I was told Kakuzu passed" He started.

"And who told you that?" I replied.

"T-The Princess, Kakuzu would often send her if he was too busy. Th-They often did business together"

"Have you seen her?" I demanded.

"Who?"

"The Princess you idiot" I hissed and he quickly shook his head.

"Not since she reported Kakuzu's death, the Akatuski doesn't deal business with me anymore" I sighed.

"So you have no idea of any of there whereabouts?"

"W-What?" He stammered, confused.

"Itachi, Rin any idea where they could be!" I shouted and he flinched.

"I-I only did business with Kakuzu and sometimes T-The Princess but no one else" He managed to spit out.

"I-I was just a book keeper for them, they brought me money that's it! The Princess, Kakuzu none of them talked to me about any Akatuski plans. I was nothing to them but a pawn!" He explained desperately. I sighed as I pulled back my blade.

"Continue being nothing then" I muttered as I left. I sighed as I got to the top of the stairs and rejoined the passing crowd. Another dead end I guess.

Deidara

I knew I didn't have long before Rin found Sasuke, and I was already nervous at the idea that she may already be with him. Tobi, on the other hand, seemed unusually ecstatic for the chance to find Rin again. He hasn't stopped asking about her since the whole three tails fiasco and I could only come up with so many excuses as to where she had taken off too. Eventually I just started telling him to shut up and his constants questions about her were boarding on stalker-ish.

"So are we looking for the Princess, Sasuke or the Nine-Tails?" Tobi question for the hundredth time since we took flight.

"Like I said two minutes ago we're looking for Sasuke or the Nine-tails, we we're never looking for Rin in the first place" I replied annoyed and he seemed to pout.

"She was supposed to be our teammate" He stressed and I rolled my eyes.

"Plus I thought you liked her" I felt a heat in my cheeks and glared at Tobi.

"As a friend you idiot" I snapped and he giggled.

"See, it would be in our best interest to look for her. Not even leader is sure where she is" He urged and I sighed.

"Rin doesn't want to be found, she'll come back when she's ready just like before. Besides without her around I have a chance at taking on Sasuke or the nine-tails with no interference" I explained and he huffed, crossing his arms like a child. I chose to ignore him as I continued surveying the land.

"Where are you" I muttered. It was in that instant I spotted him, not far from us. I smirked slightly.

"I found him Tobi"

"No kidding!? That was fast. So which is it the nine-tails or Sasuke?" He asked.

"What a great opportunity, we'll go and seize it together" I replied ignoring his question as I changed our course.

"I'll need you to provide a distraction while I attack from above" I explained as we lowered.

"But who is it?" He complained.

"Sasuke, now go"

"O-Okay Deidara" He stammered and I rolled my eyes as he jumped to the nearest branch and took off in Sasuke's direction. I took to the air once more, following being Tobi. It took seconds for Sasuke to sense him. I hovered above watching their exchange and the second Tobi backed away from Sasuke I shot forward. He looked up just as I jumped off the birds, the explosion made the ground shake and I smirked as I landed next to Tobi.

"We did it! We just took down Sasuke" I stated with a laugh.

"Nicely done Deidara!" Tobi praised, but when the smoke cleared there he was, surrounded by a snake and completely unharmed.

"Yeah, nicely done" Tobi repeated, this time snickering.

"Shut up Tobi" I replied shortly.

"I guess he's stronger than we though huh" He pointed out, as usual oblivious to my anger.

"He's just some brat" I muttered bitterly and Tobi snickered again. Some brat that managed to take down Orochimaru.

"Rearing to go huh Deidara? I guess you'll have to apologize to Itachi and Rin later" I notice Sasuke's glare fall, instead his eyes showed a brief flicker of interest in Tobi's words.

"Where is Rin?" He asked suddenly. I smirked slightly, I guess she really was trying to stay under the radar.

"What makes you think we know anything about Rin? I replied and he rolled his eyes.

"Your robes are Akatsuki and you didn't call her Princess, the only people tht don't call her Princess are people that consider themselves close enough to be her friend. So you know my sister as more than a teammate, now where is she?" He demanded and I chuckled slightly.

"Sure we're friends but it's not like we sit around braiding each others hair and share secrets" I taunted and his glare returned.

"I haven't seen your sister in weeks kid. No one has." I said firmly. Rin was with Itachi and I was probably the only person that knew that, but she had asked me to cover for her so that's what I was doing.

"You're lying" He replied shortly.

"Lying or not, who cares? Orochimaru is dead, Rin's training with him is done and now she belongs solely to the Akatsuki. She's no longer your concern"

"Fine" He said through clenched teeth.

"Then where is Itachi?"
