Erika: Thank you. *She sits back down to her seat with her story. *
Ms. Myers: Who would like to go next? *A few students raised their hands. * Hmm... Wade, what about you?
Wade: Okay. *He stands up from his seat and faced everyone. * My story is called Fun summer day. It was a hot day in the summer time, the sky was blue, the birds were singing, children were running around, having fun in the sun. The beauty of summer is not just the hot weather, but hearing the laughter of children, having fun. With school being out for three months, the freedom of children having the summer fun after learning from the whole year. The end. *Everyone clapped for Wade. *
Ms. Myers: That's a wonderful story, Wade.
Wade: Thank you, Ms. Myers. *Ms. Myers walked back to his seat. *
Ms. Myers: Okay, who's next to read their story?
In the Dupain-Cheng residents, Marin finished up typing up his essay on his laptop.
Marin: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And... send. *He clicked on the send button and the assignment's been submitted. * There. That's done. I have nothing planned until next week. Smooth day, I guess. What time is it? *He looked over his nightstand and he sees the time on the clock. * Hmm... 8:49, almost 9 o'clock, I guess I can use this time to help out in the bakery until lunch time. *He signed out of his laptop, closed it up, and put the laptop back in his drawer. * Okay, come on Spiike, Livy.
Livy: Where are we going?
Marin: We're going down to the bakery and helping out with my dad and the others.
Livy: Okay. *She disappears, Spiike goes inside Marin's shirt pocket, and Marin leaves his bedroom as he heads to the door. *
Marin: I'll see you later, Opal. *Opal nodded and she keeps playing with her ball, Marin leaves the bedroom, and headed to the front door. *
Sabine: Oh, hi honey.
Marin: (startled) Oh, mom. You scared me. I didn't know you were in the living room.
Sabine: I've been here this whole time. Mind if I ask you where are you off to?
Marin: Well since I'm done with my one assignment and I got nothing to do for the rest of the week, would you mind if I helped out in the bakery?
Sabine: Oh. Of course, honey.
Marin: Okay. Thanks, mom.
Sabine: No problem. *Marin opened the front door, get out his house key, and locked the door. *
Marin: Hmm, that was easier than I thought. *So, he headed downstairs and made his way to the bakery back kitchen. On the streets, Melanie stopped at the Financial building, and she looked at the order slip for a delivery. *
Melanie: A retirement cake, okay. *She took the second box, stepped out of the car, and walked across the walkway to the lobby. *
Front desk clerk: (Nancy): Hello, welcome to BNP Paribas, how can I help you?
Melanie: (holding a cake box) Hello, you called about a special retirement cake order.
Nancy: Oh, yes. We did. One of our superiors is retiring after being in the business for 24 years.
Melanie: 24 years? That's longest anyone has ever done a business whether in a financial company or any business I know of.
Nancy: Yes it is something. The cake is chocolate?
Melanie: Yes it is. Here you go.
Nancy: (taking the box) Thank you. And here's 20-euros. *She handed Melanie her money, Melanie took the money, and put it in her pocket. *
Melanie: Hopefully your superiors enjoy the cake.
Nancy: Thank you, they will. *Melanie walked out of the lobby, headed to the car, stepped inside the car, and drive off. *
Melanie: Okay, now I got two more boxes of Bat Mitzvah theme cupcakes. On to the Sports Center – Paris. *She puts the gear on drive and drives off to the address. *
