Soon, back at Francoise DuPont College, the bell rang for lunchtime is over.

Jordan: (standing up, collecting his trash) Guess we got four more periods left.

Trinity: (closing her book) We got three more periods before the day ends.

Jordan: That's one good thing out of it. *They all gather their trash, throw them away, leave the cafeteria, and get their stuff for fourth period. By the lockers, Marinette walked past a few people, opened her locker, and put her lunch bag inside. Then, Alya met up with the lockers. *

Stanley: Katie, you got the rest of the lecture notes from Sra. Rodriguez?

Katie: (holding her notebook) Yeah. You can use them and give it back to me before the Ned of the school year.

Stanley: Thanks. I owe you one.

Alya: How was class?

Marinette: Boring as usual. Least lunch passed the time. 'And dealing with that Tar Monster too.'

Alya: Oh well, it will get better. You excited for Juleka's birthday party tomorrow?

Marinette: Yeah, it should be fun!

Alya: I got her a makeup kit. What did you get her?

Marinette: Cool! I got her a purple hairbrush and hair accessories.

Alya: Nice! Love how they're both purple themed.

Marinette: Well it is her favorite color.

Alya: True! *Marinette gets her English textbook, notebook, and her pencil case. *

Chloe: Honestly, I don't know why I'm not that surprised.

Alya: About what?

Chloe: This. Your deal of 'friendship.'

Marinette: Still going on about it again? *Chloe rolled her eyes and sighed. *

Marinette: You got me there. She's been my bully for years, but nice to see that over summer she's slowly changing. Somewhat.

Alya: Let me just get my stuff. My locker is not far from yours.

Marinette: Okay. *Alya left to her locker, Marinette gathered her stuff and walked to Mrs. Howards' class. Soon, Katie walk to Mrs. Howards' english class and Patrick walk to Mr. Montalaing's art class. She then saw Mylene and Alix out in the halls. *

Mylene: Hi, Marinette.

Alix: Hey.

Marinette: Hey.

Mylene: (hand on the door and opening it) Think Mrs. Howards isn't in the room right now.

Alix: That's good. That gives me enough time to use the bathroom real quick. If I'm late, just tell her I went to the bathroom.

Mylene/Marinette: Okay. *They both walk inside the classroom as Alix head to the bathroom. Then, Zoé. Jessica, and Aeon were at the lockers, Zoé started getting her stuff for next class. She then looks nervous. *

Jess: Hey Zo? Wanna do something after school?

Zoe: I can't, I have plans

Aeon: Oh, who with?

Aeon and Jessica (together): Ooooh!

Jessica: Like a date?

Zoe: Please, we hardly know each other that well, we're just friends!

Jessica: Mmm-hmm sure...

Juleka: So, did you tell your friends about my birthday party tomorrow? I need to know so I can text Mom for catering purposes.

Luka: Yeah, I handed them their invitations. So far, they're just thinking what to get you for your birthday.

Juleka: Oh, okay. So that's why they are acting strange earlier when I talked to you and them.

Luka: Yeah. They wanted to surprise you. But don't tell them I told you about what they're doing.

Juleka: (chuckled) Okay. I won't say or mention anything to them.

Juleka: Okay. *They start walking together down the halls. At Saint-Jacques Elementary School, in Ms. Myers' classroom, Ms. Myers got out her science teacher's edition textbook, she picked up her chalk and wrote down magnets on the board. *

Ms. Myers: Today's science topic is on magnets. Now there is a lot of magnetic friction out there today. Magnets attract iron-containing objects. There are two terms of magnets: Attract and repel. I'm gonna show you what the differences are by showing you... *She picked up two magnets. * How it works. See in my hands are two magnets. One side red and one side blue. Now, attract means to draw by a physical force causing or tending to cause to approach, adhere, or unite; pull. Also, you see that the writing on both sides of the magnet: N and S, that stands for North Pole and South Pole.

Howie: Wow.

Ms. Myers: Watch how I attract one side of the magnet N and the other magnet S. Watch carefully. *She put the magnets together and they came together. * See how they came together? That's attractive.

Melanie: Wow.

Howie: Magnets are cool.

Ms. Myers: Now, I'm gonna show you what repel is. Let's see what happens when I try to put the same color sides together. *She flipped one magnet to the blue side and tried to push them together, but they were not coming together. * Who can tell me what's going on? *A few raised their hands. * Hmm... Yes, Peyton?

Peyton: They're not together.

Ms. Myers: That's right. See how the magnets are not coming together? Because they're repelling from each other. Let's see what happens when I try to put the two red magnets together. *She turned both magnets to the red side and then tried pushing them together, but they won't come together. * Are the magnets together?

Class: No.

Ms. Myers: That's right, and why are they repelling?

Pablo: (raised his hand) Because they're the same color and the same color doesn't connect.

Ms. Myers: That's right, Pablo. Both sides are red and the red doesn't connect. *She put the magnets down and looked at everyone in the class. * So, when the magnets are different colors: one red and one blue, they connect. But when both magnets are the same color, they don't connect together, they repel. *She puts the magnets back in a small bin. * We're gonna do some magnet tricks. Plus, I have an assignment for you all. *She goes to her desk, gets a stack of paper, and puts them together too. * I need a volunteer to pass out the assignment while I pass out the magnets. *Erika raised her hand. * Thank you, Erika. *Erika got up, walked up to her, took the papers, and started passing them out, and Ms. Myers passed out the magnets to everyone too. *

At the bakery, Tom finished up frosting the chocolate cake for display.

Tom: There, that's all done. Shang, mind putting this cake on display?

Shang: Sure. *He takes the cake and leaves the kitchen, then puts the cake on display. Mulan bagged up some scones and handed it to the customer at the counter. *

Male customer: (taking the bag) Thank you.

Mulan: You're welcome, sir. Next? *A female customer walked up to the counter. * Hello, ma'am. Welcome to Tom and Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie, how can I help you?

Female customer: I would like 2 croissants, please?

Marin: I got it, Mulan.

Mulan: Thank you, Marin. *She puts the total in the register. * 2-euros, please? Would you like to pay with cash or card?

Female customer: (holding out her debit card) Debit card is good.

Mulan: Okay. *She took the card, she scanned it, and handed it back to her. *

Female customer: Thank you. *Marin opened a brown bag, get a pair of tongs, picked up two croissants, and put them in the bag. * There we go. Here you go, Mushu.

Mushu: (taking the bag) Thank you. *He whistled and slithered to Mulan. *

Mulan: Thank you, Mushu. Here you go, ma'am.

Female customer: (taking the bag) Thank you. *She then leaves a 10-euro bill tip in the tip jar then walks out of the bakery with her croissants. Then, another customer walked up to the counter. Meanwhile, after the shift at the Cinema, Othiteka walked home from the cinema, he checked his wallet for some money he saved up for the bracelet he's gonna get for Juleka later on. *

Othiteka: Hmm... my work day is done, better head home and do some shopping with Anarka. *He looked and noticed a man holding a box while walking to the dumpster. * What is going on over there? *He walked to the dumpster where he saw a guy putting a box down and strolling away. * What did he put down? *He carefully went to the box, carefully opened the box, and he sees  five kittens in the box. * Kittens? *The kittens meowed softly, one purred on his hand. * Aw. Did that man threw you all away? Well don't you worry, I'm gonna take care of you all and hopefully find you all a good home soon. *He picked up the box and headed home. * 'Hopefully Anarka would be okay with this.'  *Back at College Francoise DuPont, in Mrs. Howards' classroom, Mrs. Howards holds the clipboard and gets ready to start on attendance. *

Mrs. Howards: Alright, students, settle down. Time for attendance. *She clicked her pen. * Adrien Agreste?

Adrien: (raised his hand) Here.
