Inside the Bakery, it was almost closing time and there were two customers left in line.
Mulan: Hello and welcome to Tom and Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie, how can we help you?
Husband (Colton) Hello, we would like a strawberry cheesecake, please?
Mulan: Will that be a whole cheesecake or a slice cheesecake?
Wife (Evelyn): A slice cheesecake, we're sharing it.
Mulan: (putting in the total) Okay. That'll be 1-euro. Would you like to pay with cash or a card?
Colton: I'll pay with cash, honey.
Evelyn: Okay. *He gets his wallet out, gets out 1-euro, and hands it to Mulan. *
Mulan: Thank you. *She opened the register, put the money inside, and closed up the register. Mushu assembled a box for the cheesecake slice, Mulan got a knife, cut up the strawberry cheesecake, and put it in the box. * There. *Mushu closed the box and handed it to Mulan. * Here you go.
Colton: (taking the box) Thank you. *They both leave the bakery with their cheesecake. *
Mulan: Just one more customer and we can close up. Next. *A male tradesman walked up to the counter. * Hello, sir. Welcome to Tom and Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie, how can we help you?
Male tradesman: I'll just have a frosted vanilla donut, please?
Mulan: (putting in the total) Just one vanilla frosted donut, that'll be 1-euro. Would you like to pay with cash or a card?
Male tradesman: (putting out a 1-euro bill) I'll pay with money.
Mulan: Okay. *He handed her the money, she opened the register, put the money in the register, and closed it up. *
Bridgette: (getting a paper bag) Okay, let's get a donut. *Mushu gets the tongs, get a vanilla frosted donut, and puts it in the bag. Bridgette then closed up the bag and handed it to Mulan. *
Mulan: (taking the bag) Thank you. *She handed the bag to the customer. * Here you go, sir.
Male tradesman: (taking the bag from Mulan) Thank you. *He walked out of the bakery. *
Mulan: That's the last customer. We'll handle the cleaning, you guys go do your homework.
Marinette: Okay. *She and Bridgette leave the bakery and headed home. *
Tom: We're closed?
Bridgette: Yep.
Tom: Okay. we'll clean up and do the closing. Marin, you can leave too.
Marin: Are you sure? I can help out with closing.
Tom: Nope, we got it from here.
Marin: Okay. *He takes the apron off, hang it up, and he leaves the kitchen too. At the Seine River, in the Liberty boat, Michael, Zachary, and Axel were discussing their landmark project. *
Michael: So, we're doing Big Ben. What facts do we know about Big Ben?
Zachary: (pulling out a book about Big Ben) I got a book from the library before going home about the Big Ben.
Axel: Least we know the info on Big Ben.
Zachary: (opening the book) Not yet, Axel. For example, did you know it took to build Big Ben 15 years?
Michael: 15 years?
Zachary: Yeah. The clock tower was an integral part of Charles Barry's designs for the sprawling Palace of Westminster, which was commissioned to replace an earlier Palace which had been destroyed in a devastating fire in 1834. Barry turned to the eminent architect, historian and theorist Augustus Pugin to aid him in designing the tower. Although the style of the tower closely matches that of Barry's adjacent Houses of Parliament, there are plenty of distinctively Puginesque touches in the intricate neo-gothic decorative detailing.
Axel: I did not know that.
Michael: Least our assignment is to give out facts behind the landmark, guess we can do it.
Axel: (pulling out his notebook and pencil) I can write down facts.
Michael: Here's what we can do. Since the project is due on Friday, we have plenty of time to get it done and ready to go.
Axel: So, first we'll do a little bit of research, tomorrow, we start gathering the materials for the making of Big Ben.
Zachary: I was thinking of doing paper mache of Big Ben.
Axel: I never done paper mache, so I might be a little rusty.
Michael: We can help. You can do the research and tomorrow, we can get started on the paper mache.
Zachary: Seems fair.
Axel: Okay.
Michael: I can ask Anarka if she has old newspapers, a bottle of glue, and some paint for the Big Ben.
Zachary: I can bring the paint. My sister's an artist and she sometimes don't use all the paint for her work.
Axel: And my parents got a huge jug of glue we can use too.
Michael: Okay. Think we can do this project and get a perfect grade on it.
Zachary: Let's hope so. *Soon, they heard knocking on the door. *
Michael: Come in. *The door opened and it was Aria. * Oh, hi Aria.
Aria: Hi. Can you play with me, Michael?
Michael: Not now, Aria. We're busy on our project.
Aria: Okay. *She leaves the cabin and go to her dad and Anarka. * Anarka?
Anarka: Yes, lass?
Aria: I'm bored. I did my school work, you helped me study my spelling words.
Anarka: You can help me with dinner.
Aria: Okay.
Anarka: I'm making soy chicken, but I'm thinking either making mashed potatoes or a garden salad, what do you think?
Aria: I love potatoes. So mashed potatoes, please?
Anarka: Okay. I'll make some mashed potatoes. Along with the homemade gravy me mom taught me how to make. You can help me with making it.
Aria: Okay. *Anarka goes into the pantry, get a box of instant mashed potato mix, and a pot from the bottom cupboard. *
Anarka: Aria, would you mind filling this pot up with water?
Aria: Okay. *Anarka hands Aria a pot, she goes to the sink, turned the water on, and start filling it up with water. *
Anarka: I think that's enough. *She turned the water off, take the pot, and turned the stove on. * We just wait for the water bowl before putting the mix inside.
Aria: Why?
Anarka: To avoid mealy potatoes.
Aria: Oh.
Anarka: While we wait for the pot to boil, I'm gonna put chicken in the oven. *She opened the oven door and put the pan sheet in the oven then let the drumsticks cooks. *
At Jordan's house, inside the living room, John look through his lesson plan for the school year and Anne put down a small tray.
Anne: (pouring some tea in a cup) Tea, honey?
John: (taking a cup) Thank you. *He blew on it and drinks the tea. *
Anne: How's your job as a Special Ed teacher?
John: It has its perks, just want to reach the kids how we go through puberty in life. Some find it educating, some find it uncomfortable.
Anne: (sitting down, holding her cup of tea) I see. But that's part of life, right? We go through changes everyday.
John: That is correct. I still have a lot for them to learn because when they get done with high school, they'll explain this to their children in the future.
Anne: Something your dad taught you?
John: The one time he told me about the birds and the bees. It was a... rather traumatic lesson. *He gulped and drink some of his tea, Anne placed her hand on his lap for comfort. Inside the bakery, Mulan locked the door and turned the open sign to closed. *
Mulan: Door's locked. The floor's been mopped. Counter's been wiped. And the money from the register and tip jar have been counter. Think everything is all good.
Tom: Good. We'll be ready for tomorrow morning. *Mulan nod her head yes. * Okay, let's go. *They leave the bakery, leave the front door to the house, and they head inside. *
Sabine: You're all back. The girls and Marin came in here.
Tom: Yeah, I told them to go one ahead and do their homework.
Sabine: Okay. *She drinks more of her green tea. *
Tom: Since dinner is not for another 3 hours, what can we make for dinner tonight?
Mushu: What day is it?
Tom: It's Tuesday, Mushu. So, what can we have tonight?
Mulan: How about pasta?
Tom: Pasta sounds good. Either make spaghetti Bolognese or penne pasta with creamy pesto sauce.
Shang: We can have penne pasta tonight.
Tom: Okay, that's a good choice. Penne pasta and I'm thinking of some steamed vegetables along with it. I think I know what kind of vegetables we'll have with the pasta.
Mulan: I can help make the baguettes you always make in the bakery.
Tom: I can help with making the baguette bread.
Mulan: Okay.
Sabine: Mind if I make a little request for dinner?
Tom: Of course, darling. Anything you're craving for?
Sabine: Some oven baked potato wedges, I'll have some pasta along with it.
Tom: Okay, I'll get that ready for you too. *Sabine grinned and she picked up a vanilla macaron and eat it. * Okay, so we know what we'll be making?
Shang/Mulan: Yep.
Mushu: I can help too?
Shang: You can help with the vegetables.
Mushu: Okay.
Tom: (to Mulan) Mulan, you and I can get started on the pasta and the baguette.
Mulan: Okay. *They all get started on cooking dinner while Sabine relaxes on the sofa while watching TV before dinner. *
In Marinette's room, Marinette work on her math homework that she'll have it all ready to go for tomorrow.
Marinette: Hmm, 91% of 5, what is that?
Tikki: Math must be hard to do, Marinette?
Marinette: To me, nope. I pass math last year and now since I'm doing algebra, people say algebra is harder than regular math. But we'll see about that. Hmm... *She gets her calculator and put in 0.91*5. * Huh, 4.55. *She writes down her answer. * Now, 96% of 19. *She puts in the problem on the calculator. * 18.24. *She writes down the answer and move onto the next problem. * 31% of 97. So 0.31*97, that is... *She pressed the equal sign. * 30.07. *She writes down the answer to the problem. * 18% of 43. Hmm... *She picked up the calculator, put in 0.18*43, and she pressed equal. * 7.74. *She writes down the answer to the problem. * This is easy.
Tikki: It's good you know what you're doing, Marinette.
Marinette: (typing in another problem) That's school for you, Tikki. 0.39 is the answer. *When she was working, her phone buzzed, she picked it up, and she saw a message from Master Fu. * It's from Master Fu. *She opened the message he said. *
🐢: Marinette, I got your message. I would like you and the others to come to my house and I can tell you what I think about the dilemma.
Marinette: Looks like he got the message.
Tikki: What do you think is best, Marinette? You and probably the others have homework and you can't miss out on that.
Marinette: Well, if there's a villain coming out soon, maybe after the villain battle, we'll go to him and see what he has to say to us.
Tikki: Do you think it'll work?
Marinette: Only one way to find out. I'll have to forward the message to the others. *She copied the message from Master Fu and send the message to group chat. * Now, back to work. *She picked up her pencil and typed on the calculator on the problems. In Bridgette's room, Bridgette taps on the end of her pencil on her homework. *
Bridgette: There is nothing in this universe that's more struggling than doing homework. But at least I'm getting better than last semester. Maybe some music should help. *She gets some earbuds, plug it in her phone, and she put the earbuds in her ears. * Music always make me work better. *She scrolls through her playlist and play 4*Town: Chop away at my heart, she saw a message from Marinette, and she opened it. * Guess Master Fu got the message. But I can;t go because I have homework to do and it can't be not complete, so hopefully with the next and final battle of the day I'll go see him.
Purry: Sounds like a good idea, Bridgette. Homework first, then fighting villain later.
Bridgette: If a villain comes after I'm done with homework. *She gets back to work on her homework. *
At the Le Grand Paris Hotel, in Chloe's suite room, Chloe inspects both Grace and Crystal.
Grace: (whispers to Crystal) What do you think she's doing?
Crystal: (whispers to Grace back) No clue.
Chloe: Hmm, so you two are my new best friends. Grace, glasses, you have a high IQ, right?
Grace: Yeah, I do. I have an IQ of 180.
Chloe: Not sure what that is, but good enough. We need to work on your people skill.
Grace: People skill?
Chloe: Yes, but we'll get to that. Now, let me look at you real quick. *She moved up to Grace and looked at her features. * Glasses are overrated, I know people who has glasses and you're one of them.
Grace: Okay?
Chloe: Your wardrobe can use a little change though. *Grace looked at her clothes and at Chloe. * I got something that might help you.
Grace: What's wrong with what I'm wearing?
Chloe: Too nerdy. Now Crystal. You're amongst to be popular, right?
Crystal: Yeah, but not in a mean way like Mariah and her clique.
Chloe: Ugh. No, no. No talking about them, they are my targets in the school year because her clique is bigger than mine. Back when I had Sabrina, but other than that. That's about it. But you, you have something that a girl is eager to have.
Crystal: What's that?
Chloe: Long black hair, blue eyes. You'll be fit as my right-hand woman.
Crystal: Huh, okay?
Chloe: Now for your looks.
Grace: What's wrong with what we're wearing?
Chloe: Outdated and no one ever wears them anymore. *She walks to her closet and see what she can find for them. * But don't worry, this is only temporary, soon we'll go shopping for some better clothes for you both.
Grace: Are we really doing this?
Crystal: (whispers to Grace) Just go with it, you don't wanna know what she'll do if you defy her or make her angry.
Grace: (whispers to Crystal) Okay.
Chloe: (holding out an outfit) Try this one, Grace.
Grace: Okay. *She walked up to Chloe and taking the clothes from Chloe. *
Chloe: There's a bathroom over there.
Grace: Okay. *She walked to the bathroom and change into her clothes. * What do you think?
Chloe: Perfect.
Grace: How did you know my glasses prescription?
Chloe: No clue. 'I did a little research on you.'
Crystal: You look great.
Grace: Thank you. Are these real gold earrings?
Chloe: Of course, I'm known for having real jewelry made from real elements. Those cost a fortune.
Grace: Wow.
Chloe: Crystal, I have something for you.
Crystal: 'I hope it's nothing too flashy.' *Chloe pulled out the outfit for Crystal. *
Chloe: What do you think? *Crystal walked up to Chloe and looked at the outfit she had. *
Crystal: It looks cute.
Chloe: If you think so, try it out and I'll say if it's cute or not.
Crystal: Okay, *She takes the clothes, goes to the bathroom, and changes into the clothes Chloe handed her. Then, she came out all dressed. *
Chloe: Hmm, what do you think? The hat has a nice touch. *Crystal looked at the outfit in the bathroom mirror, she fixed up her hat a little bit. *
Crystal: Hmm, it looks nice. Especially the shoes. *She leaves the bathroom and gave Chloe a thumbs up on the look. *
Chloe: I see you like it.
Crystal: It's nice. But the glasses...
Chloe: It's fake. Hers are real, your are just for fun.
Crystal: Okay. *Grace pushed her glasses up. *
Chloe: You two have made the cut, well not yet. But we'll get that tomorrow. Come to the Hotel before school so we can talk about what we have to do.
Crystal: Okay.
Grace: Okay.
Chloe: Now, you're both free to go. You can keep the outfits.
Crystal: Okay.
Grace: Bye, Chloe. *They both took their clothes and left her suite room. *
Chloe: This might work out well after all. Much better in fact. I can make Sabrina jealous that she'll beg me to be friends again. But for it to work, it has to be foolproof and believable. Just need to plan how I'm gonna do it. * At the Seine River, in the Liberty, Zachary closed the book and put it in his backpack. *
Zachary: I got all the facts about Big Ben. We'll just have to reword it so Mrs. Ball doesn't think we copied it
