I smiled at Jasmine, who was being held by Evelina and Adam. They laughed with the baby, who was wrapped in blankets. This was after Eveline's funeral. I was still grieving for her, but today was February 17th, two days after Jasmine had been born and brought home.
Andrew laughed, and I leaned on him. Soon, my own young self from the past would come, and I played the day when she would, when I would see Eveline again. I smiled about all of the times that Eveline and I were young. We used to play with each other all the time, laughing and being happy. Even Helena made me smile.
"Today's a good day!!!" Evelina chirped happily. I nodded. Andrew smiled.
"Yeah." He said. There were many things I loved about him, His smile, his laughter, his voice. But what I loved most was him being there when you needed or wanted him.
"Yeah. Today's a wonderful day." I echoed, thinking about all of my pasts and futures, even though I should be paying attention to the present.
"Goo goo, Jasmine!" Evelina said happily. I smiled again. A wonderful day.
