Yosano Pov.

"Let's go, this game just began!"Asuto said

Asuto started dribbling but Haizaki was able to steal the ball immediately

He dribble to our field towards the goal.Evading my teammates at ease.He stood in front of our goal.He used his hissatsu technique

"Perfect Penguin!"

"Goal!A new hissatsu technique Seishou makes its consecutive second goal!"The commentator said

Haizaki's gaze shifted to me"This is my soccer so enjoy it while you can"He said

"Is this really the soccer you enjoy Haizaki?"I asked

"How would you know?You'll never understand"Haizaki scoffed

"What are you saying?This is my soccer, this is my soccer!Are you even hearing yourself?You think we don't know you're playing soccer just for the sake of revenge for Akane!"

His eyes widenned."How did you--"

I placed my hand near my chest"Real soccer is played with the heart Haizaki..I don't sense that conviction in yours"I said turning back to my position

Haizaki pov

"I don't sense that conviction in yours.."She said

She'll never understand the hardships I went through..

For her..

I gripped my hand tight."I'll make sure I'll defeat you in this match.."

Yosano Pov.

I walked back to my position, I felt the pain on my ankle return.Looks like coach's technique finally wore off

"Yosano san, are you sure you can still make it?"Hiura whispers behind me

"I have to..we need to win this match"I replied

The game started again

Haizaki started dribbling in our field again, he wasn't even passing the ball to his own teammates.He stood in front of the goal, using his hissatsu technique

"Overhead penguin!"

I jumped in the air in an attempt to block it using my other foot but failed which ended up hurting my ankle when I landed.Norika tried using her Uzumaki the hand but also failed.They scored yet again

"Haizaki scored again is no one able to stop him!"The commentator said

"Three consecutive points lost in the first half..I don't even have to analyze this.."Hiro said

"At this rate we won't have a chance"Golem said

"I haven't even got the ball yet"Captain said

"Everyone now's not the time for self doubt we have to fight back!"I yelled

"Yosano san.."

"Haizaki don't strain yourself too hard.You're overpowering Raimon already as it is"Kidou said

"Doesn't matter how much I overpower them, I want them to despair!"Haizaki yelled

Haizaki was dribbling in our field again, he stood in front of the goal but it seemed he wasn't aiming for it.He shot towards my direction.My eyes widenned.I winced from the sudden impact

I felt my back didn't reach the ground but someone's shoulders instead

"Hiura?"I asked, the teal haired boy gave me a warm smile

"I promised you didn't I?"He said."Are you alright?"

"Thanks for the help it doesn't hurt much"I replied, gently placing a hand near his shoulder

"Yosano san are you okay?"Norika asked, Mansaku came along beside her

"I'm fine.Come on there's a match we have to win!"I yelled going back to my position

Clutching my stomach, even if it was a normal shoot.His kick is really strong.I'm glad he didn't use a hissatsu technique against me...

"Yosano san, are you sure you're alright you've been holding your stomach for a while"Asuto asked

"It doesn't hurt much"I replied

"You sure?"

"100%"I smiled

"The first half has officially ended with a score of 3-0, Seishou Academy is on the lead.Will Raimon make a comeback on the second half?!"The commentator said

"Now that the first half is done I believe that all of you are now familiar with Seishou Academy's unique traits.This time we'll use our trump card also known as Lessons in Love 1-2-3!"Coach said

We all went back to our positions, I saw coach look on my direction, I shook my head

"It's the time for the second half will Raimon be able to catch up?!"

"Let's go!"Asuto said, we all nodded

Kozoumaru started dribbling towards the goal, Haizaki was right behind his back and stole the ball.I managed to recovered it away from him

"Why you--"Haizaki yelled

The pain in my ankle started to ache again.I winced, I felt my foot beginning to numb.I quickly passed it back to Kozoumaru but the opponent was able to steal it back and pass it to Haizaki

Our eleven bands began to beep

"Let's do this!"I said

"Yeah!"

"Haizaki is on the offense again!"The commentator said

Michinari,Hiro and Mansaku quickly moved and marked Haizaki

"Haizaki, how does it feel like to be popular?"Mansaku asked

"I don't care how many nobodies play against me, you can't stop me!"He yelled

Haizaki tried going through the three but he failed

"Amazing, all we did was assume positions coach told us to do..and and manage to steal the ball from Haizaki!"Hiro said

Haizaki rushed towards Hiro for the ball but he made a quick pass to Kozoumaru who then passed it to Asuto and passed the ball to me

"Yosano san!"

"I'm not letting you score!"He yelled

I jumped up in the air before he could steal the ball away from me.I tried jumping further and further in the air.I kicked the ball hard.Not caring about my ankle

"Skyfall!"I shouted, the goalkeeper used his hissatsu technique but wasn't able to fully block it

"Amari!"Hiura called, the pain in my foot became unbearable as I knelt down in pain.It was the final straw that broke the camel's back

"Yosano san!"Asuto shouted

"Raimon finally makes a breakthrough but what's this it appears Yosano Amari is in need of medical assistance!"

"What's happening?"Haizaki asked, watching the scene unfold

"Yosano san what's wrong?"Asuto asked, he watched in horror when he saw me clutching my ankle

"It's fine..I can still play!"I yelled, I tried standing up but failed.Hiura manages to catch me

"No you can't!Amari you can't keep fighting like this!"He shouted

"Yosano san please!"Asuto pleaded

I watched as the medical team came and carried me in a stretcher.The last sight I saw was everyone looking at me in concern.What shocked me the most was Haizaki, who had a look of regret in his eyes

I felt my consciousness slipping away right then..

I opened my eyelids slowly, I saw the blinding lights, the ceiling of the hospital room and a heart rate monitor was beeping on the side.It must've been hours since the match.

It was over..

"Yosano san!"A voice called, it was Asuto along with the rest of the team

"Everyone.."I muttered

"Why didn't you tell us sooner?You could've gotten worse!"Mansaku yelled but Captain pulled him back

"That was a very risky move you did"Captain said

"I'm sorry..in the end I disappointed you all"I said, looking down at my hands

"Yosano san you did your best even at your worst.You pushed and carried for the team.."Hiura said, holding my hand

"Does that mean we lost?"I asked

"No..We won against Seishou Academy"Hiro said

They won without me..

"That's great"I smiled

"Yeah and we proved it on Haizaki's face that we're strong!"Goujin said

"Wait that's means we're.."

"In the football frontier!"Norika yelled, they were about to hug me when Hiura stops them

"Yosano san is still injured don't be rash everyone!We should go and let her rest"He said, everybody complied

"We'll get going then Yosano san!"They said bidding their goodbyes

"Bye.."I muttered

Soon as they left, the room became quiet again only accompanying with the sound of the beeping monitor.I sighed

Does that mean they won't need me anymore?

I heard the door suddenly slide open, it was Kidou along with Haizaki

"Hello Yosano san"Kidou greeted

"What are you two doing here?"I asked

"We came to check if you were alright..we may have lost against your team but we're still worried for your safety"He replied, I looked down

"Thank you that means a lot to me"I smiled

"Kidou can you let me talk with Yosano for a bit.."Haizaki suddenly says.He nodded leaving us alone.He sat down near a chair.The room suddenly felt tense

"Haizaki.."I said

"Why?.."He muttered

"Huh?"

"Why do you continue to persist even after you were injured?"He asked

"Because I had to..I wanted to fight for my friends.Soccer  introduce me to them and I only wanted to return the favor"

"At the cost of your life?You know you could've died then right?"He asks

"I didn't know you were a comedian Haizaki..I would've  been just paralyzed for a while.."

"And you're fine with that?!"

"Why are you suddenly worried for me?I thought you'd hate me for what I said back then"It was my turn to ask, he stood quiet

"you reminded me of her.."

"Akane?"

"Yeah..I lost her because of the Ares program.."He said."You're right, the reason I played soccer was because of her"

"Haizaki.."

"I wanted to do something back then but I couldn't it was too late...I wanted to make them pay..to suffer for all the damage they did to her!"

"I didn't know about that.."

"It's not something I openly talk about.."He said looking down at the ground

"But playing soccer for revenge isn't the only way.."I said

He stood up from his seat"It is..even if my path is paved in darkness I'll carry through for her sake"I placed my hand, grabbing his jacket

"You don't have to carry the burden alone..you can always count on someone to be there for you"

"And who would place their trust in me?"He asked

"I would.."

"Why?"

"Because I understand what you mean when you experienced loss..you think you need to carry the burden alone but this will only make things worse.."

"Yosano.."

"Please.. don't make a mistake you'll end up regretting.."I pleaded

"I've already made plenty to begin with..but thank you..after everything I did you still continued to believe in me.."

"Haizaki.."

"I'm going now..see you"

"I hope we get to play soccer in the field again someday"I smiled, I saw him stop by the exit holding the door

Haizaki pov.

"I hope so too.."I whisper, closing the door.I saw Kidou leaning beside the entrance

I felt my heart leapt off my chest"Geez don't sneak up on me like that!"I yelled

"Haizaki I think you're starting to find your light.."He said

"No.. that's impossible..."

"You don't need to stray further from the light anymore.."
