"Now, tell me. Where's the pearl?" Mann asked. My parents glared at him.
"We'll never tell you." my mom said. Mann scowled. He walked over to the cage Henry and I were in. I was sitting closest to the front. Mann grabbed me by the shirt and pulled me towards him, my face pressed against the bars of the cage. He pulled out his knife and held it to my throat. Henry sobbed and my parents gasped.
"Where is the pearl?!" Mann yelled.
"We don't know." my dad said. Mann dragged the knife gently across my throat. A thin line of blood appeared on my throat.
"Lying is not nice. Now tell me where the damn pearl is! Speak up!" Mann shouted. I trembled in fear.
"The last we heard or saw of it was on a remote island." my mom said, sobbing as she spoke.
"Good. Keep talking or her throat gets slit." Mann said smirking.
"It's under supreme security. The code to unlock the case is 73275. The coordinates of the island are 50, 30." my mom continued. (and I just came up with the coordinates, don't go and look them up because they won't make sense, probably)
"Very good. Your daughter will get to live, for now." Mann said maliciously. He cackled and let go of me, throwing me backwards. I hit my head on the floor and winced. Henry crawled over to me and hugged me. I rubbed my neck. I looked at my hand and saw blood covering it. I gasped and closed my eyes.
"Ready a boat. Search up the coordinates." Mann ordered. The men started bustling around.
"Don't go anywhere." Mann snarled. He left with a good amount of his men.
"Oh kids, I'm so glad you're alive!" my mom gushed. I just laid there in Henry's arms, my eyes closed.
My mom didn't say anything else. Nobody talked.
I'm so done with this.
