**One thing I need to get out is that in a lot of these one-shots if not all, all the characters will be aged up by three years. They also will mostly be told in a 2nd person pov. If they don't, I will specify.**

**With that out of the way, enjoy the story!**

Today, our heroes Ash and Goh are out and about in downtown Vermillion City, close to the valley that stretches into Pallet Town. (aka, Ash's hometown) They are doing instant requested research for Applin. Ash had been hiding his feelings for Goh for a long while but covered it up using his dense act. He asked Professor Cerise to cover it up by saying the mission was for a little girl for the boy that she liked but could not find it anywhere.

"Any signs of them yet?" Ash questioned Goh, Goh shook his head signifying negativity. "Okay, then we will just have to look harder!" Ash exclaimed after going from a disappointed to determined expression. 'I don't have that much time, but I can't give up now! This is my best shot!' Ash thought. Goh had always admired Ash's special ability to switch quickly from a negative to positive attitude, (Unless he lost a battle!) and that was only one of the reasons that he loved Ash.

Speaking of Goh loving Ash, Goh decided to take an opportunity to search for Applin too, but then came to the realization that Ash was searching for one, so he probably has a crush on someone else and won't like him back. Goh's mood indeed dropped, so he decided to just wander around to make it look like he was looking.

After a while of wandering, Goh heard a bit of chatter in the forest. He decided to go check it out. To his surprise, he found a big group of Applin just wanderin' the forest! He knew he didn't need one, but he decided to get one for Ash. "Hey, I'm Goh, and I was wondering if I could catch you for my best friend? He really needs one of you guys." Goh stuck out a Pokeball for the Applin to get into. The Applin happily agreed and got into the Pokeball, and gave off the symbol that Goh had caught it. 'Yes! Now time to find Ash' Goh had thought.

Goh runs up to Ash with clear excitement and nervousness plastered over his face. Ash then turns to find Goh out of breath and runs to him at full speed, "Goh! Did you find something yet?" Ash stammered out, startled by his friend's sudden appearance. "I did! Here you go Ash!" Goh said in a happy tune. "Oh thank you but, you can have it" Ash replied softly, "What?"

"But I thought you wanted us to catch the Applin for you?" Goh said, confused. Ash realized the boy did not realize what he was saying and sighed softly. "No, that isn't what I meant by that". Goh looked at Ash's red face and was still clueless. Ash took in a deep breath and mustered all the courage he could into his next statement, "I wanted to catch the Applin so that I could, well, give it to you." Ash was quiet at this point as Goh finally realized what he meant.

"I never knew you felt the same way" Goh finally said after the long moment of silence that fell upon them. Ash looked up at the other boy overjoyed. Ash took Goh into his arms in a warm embrace. Goh could feel the tears crawling into his eyes. "I love you Ash" was all he managed to get out from his trembling lips. Ash could only simply say " I love you too" in reply.
