gently asked, taking a seat beside her. Rose's eyes were closed as she was gripping the blanket she had pulled into her lap, "I'm fine, Rolf." Newt's brows furrowed, "Rolf?" "Of course, that's your-" But Rose cut herself off when she opened her eyes to find no one other than Newt before her. "Newt..." Rose found herself in a haze of confusion, "What's happening to me?"

Newt shushed her and pulled her into an embrace, "You're probably just a bit dazed, that's all. Get some rest and try not to think too much, love." Rose just simply nodded, a few stray tears rolling down her cheeks, as she pulled away to lay down on the cot, her back facing towards their company. Newt situated the blanket over his friend before standing up and joining the other two.

Tina had taken the stool by Newt's desk as Jacob leaned up against the shack door. "Is she alright?" Tina asked, concerned for the other witch's well being. "I think she's just a bit discombobulated. I don't think she was expecting to see her dark past," Newt sighed. Tina didn't say anything, as her eyes only showed how sorry she was for Rose going through such a childhood. "Did I hear her right? Did she call you Rolf? Is that a friend of you guys?" Jacob wondered,

Newt shook his head, "No, Rolf is one of her friends she had made before she came to Hogwarts... she's never accidentally called me by another name before." "Was that you in her memory, the one standing on the lake front? She called him Scamander," Tina recalled. Newt had remembered the memory Tina was talking about. However, Newt never remembered when the two of them had ever talked so freely, running around the few trees of the lake as if playing tag... that had been the Black Lake back in Hogwarts; he knew that scenery from anywhere in the world. "No, that wasn't me," Newt lightly breathed, daring to steal a glance back at the girl who was resting behind him.

"Then if that wasn't you, who was it?" Tina asked the question that had begun to plague Newt's mind. The wizard paused before giving his answer, "I'm not sure... I've always been a sucker for the mysteries of life around us; mainly by these wonderful beasts of our magic world. But never have I found such a creature that hold's more secrets than the best friend I made back when I was only a teenager. Rose has many, many secrets... and I have a feeling that they are going to reveal themselves rather soon."
