( Yuuichi x Sakura).

If there is one thing Sakura knows, it's that she is not crazy; she knows what youkai is

Ever since she was a child; she could see things no other people could, and that frightened her to begin with.

At the age of twelve, She learned that her father had married a youkai, a beautiful water spirit, they had fallen in love and agreed to get married.

But since the birth of her younger sister, Tamaki, they're mother died.
It left her feeling abandoned and lonely.
She found out that the youkai blood followed both threw her and her sisters veins that day, they could both feel it.
It scared them at first, they didn't know what to make of it.

Her mother's death struck their father worst, he couldn't focus on his work, or taking care of His children. They had a rough childhood as it was.

Now at the age of twenty, and Tamaki at the age of 15.
Their father sent them both to their grandmother, who was the guardian of the tamayaori shrine, another person who could see youkai.

" Nee-chan?." Tamaki mumbled as they sat on the bus.

" Hmm?." Her sister asked, flipping through the magazine she brought with her.

" Oba-chan, can she really see youkai also?." She asked softly.

Sakura nodded,
" yea, but don't worry I'm with you, we promised to sick together, didn't we?." She said, putting down her magazine and intertwining her fingers with her little sisters.

Tamaki sighed, feeling a bit nervous she leaned against her sisters side and snuggled up to her, tightening her fingers with Sakura's.
" Yes, together. " she mumbled, feeling  her eyes droop.

Sakura snickered softly as Tamaki dozed off, she must have more tired than she realized.
She turned her attention back to her magazine and waited to arrive at their destination.

An hour later, Sakura shook Tamaki awake before they both exited the bus.

They stared at the pathway leading into the forest, which was the only way to get to their grandmother's.

" Serious?..." Sakura muttered.
She groaned quietly.

" Come on Tamaki, let's go." She then grabbed her sisters hand and pulled her against her.

" Does oba-chan get lonely up here?." Tamaki asked curiously.

Sakura snickered.
" we'll ask her okay. Once we reach we'll ask her."  She answered.

Tamaki nodded, looking around.
Sudden movement caught her eye and she froze instinctively.

" Tamaki?. What's wrong?." Sakura asked, feeling her sister's stiffness.

" I think I just saw something, I'm not sure. " she said, squinting her eyes to see.

Sakura followed her gaze and her eyes widened as a huge white nine tails fox youkai came running out of the forest, straight towards them.

" Holy fu-" she never got to complete her curse as she quickly pushed tamaki aside as the Youkai jumped on her.

Sakura landed with an 'oof.' On the ground as it sat on top her.

" Nee-chan, Are you alright?." She heard Tamaki ask.
She groaned, looking up at the fox, only to be struck at the beauty its eyes were..
A beautiful ice blue, it was breathtaking.

" I see he found his owner then." A new voice said from besides them.

They both looked to see who it was.
" Oba-chan!?.. "  Tamaki  gasped.

Sakura blinked, not really bothering that her grandmother was here, but at the statement that came out of her mouth.

" owner?." She asked, confused.

Her grandmother laughed, nodding her head.
" yes my dear Sakura, this was your mother's pet, she passed it down to you before she died, come let us go, I will explain further at the shrine." She same turning around, leaning the way.

Sakura and Tamaki stared blankly at their grandmother.
" Tamayaori princesses?." They mumbled.

Their grandmother sighed.
" My time as the guardian of this shrine is nearly over, the heir of the shrine always inherits after. Sakura and Tamaki you are both human and Youkai by blood, you have amazing power you have to to awaken. " she said

The sisters nodded.

" Once I retire, there are those out there who will come looking for the shrine's secrets, they will kill anyone in their way, you, as the tamayaori princesses must learn to active your power and protect the shrine, while you do so I have many guardians here to protect you while you attend school." She said

" Heh?." Sakura muttered.
She shook her head.
" Guardians?. " she questioned.

Her grandmother nodded.
" come on in.." She called.

" Takuma here, will be your guardian; he will also accompany you to school until you meet the others." Their grandmother said.

A guy with deep maroon colored hair, purple eyes and dressed in a school uniform walked in to the room.

" Yo." He greeted.

The two girls blinked at him, tiling their heads to the side, before Sakura narrowed her eyes at the blush on Tamaki's face.

She cleared her throat and rose to her feet, extending her hand forward towards Takuma.
" The name's Sakura, small fry over there is my little sister, Tamaki." She said pointing a thumb in said sister's direction.

Tamaki made a whining noise at being called small fry.

Takuma smirked, grasping her hand in his with a firm handshake before letting go.
"So you two are the Tamayaori princesses?. How ironic, a princess with pink hair." He teased.

Sakura eyes turned into slits.
" Wanna say that again?." She barked.
Takuma felt his eyebrow raise.

" Nee-chan you need to calm down, I don't think he meant anything bad." Tamaki said frantically.

Sakura instantly turned to face her sister
" taking sides with him huh? Che!." She clicked her tongue.

" Some sister you are." She muttered.

Tamaki's eyes widen.
" No!. I didn't mean that Nee-chan, I .."

" Save it." Sakura cut her off. Walking towards the door.
" I'm going to rest grandmother, I believe i know where my room is." She stated sliding the door open, closing it with a soft click behind her.

Sakura signed as she walked down the familiar hallway, maybe she was a bit harsh on her sister, but it can't be helped, she's had enough since young with people making fun of her hair, she couldn't help that she was born with pink hair. Could she?.

She just wanted this whole thing to be over with already.

Tears filled Tamaki's eyes as she watched her sister leave, she hung her head, allowing them to fall onto the mat beneath her.

" why?." She whispered looking up to glare at Takuma.
" Why did you have to make fun of Nee-chan's hair?!." She cried.

"I'm an idiot, defending you instead of my sister, I'm such an idiot!." She sobbed.

Her grandmother sighed.
" Tamaki, Sakura just needs to cool her head. There's nothing to worry about." But Tamaki shook her head.

" But Oba-chan! Nee-chan always been picked on because of her hair; its not that simple!." She stated, already panicking.

She jumped to her feet and bolted out the door.

" where are you going?!." Came the shout after her.

" To find my sister!. "

Sakura hopped down the path leaning to the shrine.
The sun was setting and the wind was starting to get a bit chilly, but she didn't mind she rather likes the cold.

"You know, you shouldn't be out her at this time, and alone." A voice called out to her.
Sakura halted in her steps.
" huh?." She mumbled.

She blinked as a man with gorgeous long dark green hair, glasses, dressed in a traditional kimono was making his way towards her.

" Che, what does it matter if I go anywhere people always find a way to make fun of me." She grumbled.

He smiled as he reached her.
" Konbonwa, Sakura-san, my name is Suguru oomi. I'm one of your guardians. " he said, introducing himself.

She heaved a soft sigh.
" Konbonwa, Suguru-san."

" just suguru is fine." He corrected.
She smiled slightly.
" well just Sakura is fine also." She said.

He turned to walk down the path.
" mind if I join you?. " he questioned softly.

She shook her head, hopping down next to him.
" not at all." She responded.

" Now would you like to tell me what's troubling you?." He asked as they walked.

She grunted.
" Takuma made fun of my hair, I got angry because my sister took his side for it, she knows what I went through still she took his side, it got me really angry I told to save her apology and just walked out of there." She muttered.

He nodded his head in understanding.
" I find your hair is a beautiful color, especially with its length." He laughed softly, gesturing to her hair that reached her spine.

" thank you." She blushed slightly.
" I was told my mum had extremely long hair, I wanted to also." She smiled.

They were so caught up in their conversation that they didn't notice it was already dark.

" Well, I guess its time to head back." Suguru Said.
He turned to her and extended his elbow in a wordless invitation.

Sakura laughed as she took his arm. She's become rather fond of the older man, like a brother she never had.

When they reached the shrine, the lights were still on. But Sakura didn't actually go to her room, she spotted the fox Youkai and headed in that direction.
It shifted its tail as she neared, so she could cuddle close to him.

Sakura reached out and petted his fur,
" mom must have really  loved you to leave you with me." She whispered.
The fox moved his head to nuzzle her cheek. Sakura smiled hugging back the creature.

" You know, I still haven't got your name?." She muttered.

" His name is Luka, Sakura. " the sound of her grandmother's voice didn't phase her.

" Luka." She whispered, Nuzzling her nose against his clean white fur.
" Guess I'm staying with you tonight huh?." She said drowsily.
And smiled as his tail came to wrap around her keeping her warm..

" Sleep well my dear Sakura," her grandmother said, draping a huge blanket over both her and Luka.

" Night grandmother," she mumbled already half asleep.

Her grandmother petted Luka on his head and sighed.
" You have waited this long for her Luka, keep her safe will you?. Hope she could handle what's about to come.. And her engagement. " she mumbled, a hand to her chin as she walked out the room, closing the door softly behind her.

Luka watched her go, before resting his head down, drawing Sakura closer to him.
She needed sleep at the time before anything else.

Sakura woke up feeling quite warm, she blinked her eyes to get the sleep out of them as she peered around her.
She felt her lips tug up as she saw her Luka sleeping soundly.
She leaned forward and kissed his head before getting up.

She headed to her room. Grabbed fresh clothes and slipped into the bathroom..
After getting dressed, she made her way in the kitchen, starting to prepare breakfast.

After taking her share she found a swing at the back of the shrine.
Sitting down she dug into her breakfast.
That's when Luka suddenly appeared before her.

" Luka!." She laughed.. He tilted his head then transformed into a small white fox with red markings around his eyes going up to his forehead.
Luka hopped up to her sniffing her plate.

She laughed giving him a bite.
" Alright, I got school now. Wanna join me?." She asked and when he nodded his head she smiled.

Sakura got dressed and headed out only to see Takuma and Tamaki in front of the path leading down, talking to some blue head guy.

She sighed, better to get this over with.
Telling her feet to move she began to stroll towards them, Luka in his smaller form jumping onto her shoulder. She pressed a kiss to his smaller head.

Some part of her, she couldn't remember why but she felt comfortable with the fox big or small.

She approached them carefully.
Noting that the blue guy was a lot shorter up close.
Tamaki looked up at her and tears immediately started to fall as Sakura looked at her blankly.

Sakura sighed, opening her arms to her, Tamaki immediately raced forward and crashed into her sister. Crying into her clothes.

" I'm so sorry Nee-chan! I didn't mean that what I said." She sobbed.
Sakura waited patiently until she cooled down before patting her head.

" it alright, I'm okay, don't worry yourself." She mumbled.

Tamaki sniffles pulling away.
And Sakura walks pass her going to pass through the gates.

When the blue hair guy stood in front of her.
" So this is The famous Tamayoari princess?." He smirked, but when luka appeared on Sakura shoulder.

His eyes widen and
He immediately bow,
" I am one of your guardians, Mahiro Atori." He said.

Sakura put her hand out.
" Sakura, nice this meet you." She said. Continuing to walk.

Once at school it was as if Tamaki suddenly forgot she even had a sister, after meeting the third guardian, she became so inverse with them that she forgot she exists.

Well, no helping it. Sakura thought walking away from the scene. Only to bounce right into someone.

" Oh, my I'm sorry." She quickly apologized.
The guy looked at her, piercing red eyes and green hair. She squeaked as he suddenly grabbed her arms and brought her closer, burying his nose in her shoulder, inhaling deeply.

" Hmm, Tamayaori princess huh?." He murmured, looking up at her.

He roses back up and released her.
" Ryou Kutani, your guardian. " he said placing his arms in his pants pockets.
She blinked at him, then a small smirk came across her face.

" Is that your way of greeting people?." She joked. He chuckled.
" nahh only beautiful girls. " hr teased.

Sakura huffed, flipping him off.
" we're in the same class I believe. " he said and she nodded.
" well, please lead the way." She said gesturing to the hall.

He shook his head.
" Let's go princess. "

Luka followed behind them as they headed to class.

Lunch was a different story.
She and ryou arrived on the patio to see Tamaki and her friends.
Ryou sighed and dragged her along to the empty seats to the back.

" Hey, where is Yuuichi?." She heard Mahiro ask.
And Luka immediately perked up at the name making Sakura wonder who this other guardian really was.

Just then the door opened to reveal a guy with sliver hair and beautiful gold eyes, with a small with artic fox on his shoulder.

Luka immediately jumped off her as did the other fox and the Guy's eyes snapped towards her and Sakura felt kinda small at his gaze.

She reeled back as he started towards her.

Yuuichi marched forward, grabbed her arm and pulled her up, sealing his mouth over hers in a passionate kiss.
Sakura's eyed were wide open. She stared at him as he let her go.

" I finally found you. " he rasped.
And she immediately panicked, jumping away from him, sailing over the balcony. As soon as she hit the ground she was off.
She wanted answers and only her grandmother could answer them.

She ran all the way to the shrine, not stopping once.
" Grandma!." She shouted, bursting through the door.

Her grandmother turned to face her, Suguru at her side.

" What the hell is going on?!. Some guy just kissed Me, telling me that he finally found me, like what the fudge!." She exclaimed.

Suguru chuckled at her way of talking.
" come Sakura we will explain everything to you." He said softly.

" let's begin." He said as she sat.
" in your pervious lifetime, you were the mate of the nine tails Youkai himself, but not everything could have lasted long between you two, you were merely a human, so you passed on leaving him behind, but when you mother and father got married and she gave birth to you, it was as if a miracle had happened, you soul was given life once again, your mother forbidden us from telling you until reach the appropriate age. " he then sighed.
" but it seems that Yuuichi couldn't wait to see you again, you mother told him to stay away until you come around." He said.

Sakura sat with her mouth agape like a drowning fish.

" Have you ever felt that you been here before or that somethings you see for the first time seem so familiar?." Suguru asked and she nodded.

" That's your memories returning bit by bit, it will take time there's no need to rush." He said soothingly.

" Luka is your mother's pet but he's apart of Yuuichi, that's the reason he protects you all the time. " Suguru added.

Sakura slumped onto the floor.
" so.. Basically you're saying that I'm engaged to him?." She muttered.
And Suguru nodded.

Sakura flopped onto her with a groan, causing her grandmother and Suguru to laugh.

That evening she took the path leading up to the cliff behind the shrine.

The night breeze was cold and refreshing, there were goosebumps on her arms but she didn't mind, this new situation was making her head hurt.

Suddenly her head felt as if it was throbbing, images of her and the guy name Yuuichi flashed across her vision.. Her heart thundered and her eyes burned.

Is this what Suguru Meant by her memories?.
She sway slightly from her sitting position. But caught herself last minute.

There was a sudden warmth as the feelings inside her arises
The longing feeling she never felt in her life before tugged at her heartstrings.

She jumped as legs appeared on both sides of her and a warm jacket was placed around her shoulders.
Sakura squeaked as arms came to wrap around her waist.

" Don't come out with something warm on, my love. " the soft husky tone of his voice did wonders to her she never felt before...

Sakura turned around, staring at his beautiful gold eyes, and images immediately flashed inside her field of vision, causing her to clutch her head.

" I remember." She whispered, one hand reaching out to grasp his shirt,
" Yuuichi, I remember!." She rasped bringing him closer.

" Sakura. " he sighed wrapping his arms around her..
" that's all I want to hear, I waited so long for you.. I couldn't bear to be away from you any longer.. I love you my dear Sakura. " he said brokenly.

Sakura gripped him to her as the tears flowed.
" I'm sorry for making you wait so long, Yuuichi.. Mum forbid us from meeting before I turned the right age.". She sniffles.

He grunted, hugging her closer.
" stay with me Sakura, you are human, half Youkai.. You immortal now, I can't keep living with out you anymore than I already have." He whimpered, the sound so familiar and comforting to her ear.

" Of course my dear Yuuichi, I will stay with you." She say d stroking his hair.

He looked up at her.
" You promise?." He whined.

Sakura laughed.
" I promise. " she said, running her hands through his hair before leaning down to kiss him.

And that's that!..
