The next day, Dagger was working at a grocery store. He was doing well there. In fact, he was the quietest one there. His fiance, Lion Trap, walked in.
She was a civilized trapper. When she walked in and saw Dagger, she ran over and hugged him.

"Hey, Dagger, I thought you'd like it if I brought you lunch."

"Thank you, love."

"You're welcome." they kissed. Dagger hugged her, and then let go.

"I've got to get back to work now. I appreciate you bringing me lunch."

"I'll see you at home tonight!" She said.

"You too."

She left, and Dagger went back to working. He had a short lunch later, worked for until his shift was over, and went home.

When he arrived at the apartment, He hugged Lion Trap, and kissed her.

"Dagger, what's with all the affection?" She asked.

"I'm just a bit on edge is all. I'm all right, just...on edge."

"Why?"

"I've never felt so close to someone before, I just don't want to lose you."

"How could you lose me?"

"I don't know. Crime, a work accident, or a car crash. You're not cursed to be immortal, so worries like this are new for me, and I don't want to mess up and lose you."

"Dagger, you're not alone. I know you've never been a people person, but you don't need to be afraid to open up anymore. I'm here for you as much as you are for me. Maybe its one of those things that go away once you find true love. You just need to believe."

"Thanks, love. I don't know what I'd do without hearing that." He kissed her. She hugged him tighter, and let go.

There was no turning back anymore.
