Never in your life would you have thought you would end up here. A date! With Kyouya! You pinched yourself. If this was another dream, you didn't know whether or not you could handle it this time.

Leaning against the wall, you tucked your [hair color] hair behind your ear, a faint smile growing on your lips. You were ready to burst with joy, aware nothing could upset your mood.

After the warm touch of Kyouya's arms, everything else seemed like a blur. Days went back to normal. Laughing, smiling with San-chan, and lively conversations with Kyouya. By normal, Kyouya still retained his cold nature, but you couldn't help but think that somewhere in his heart, something had changed.

Asking Kyouya to a date was like defusing a bomb. Cold sweat. Nerve wracking pressure. It took a little convincing, begging, and unnecessary clinging to get him to say yes, but once he spoke the words, you were victorious.

"You look ridiculous smiling to yourself, you know."

Your smile grew even bigger.

Even with a casual jacket, he managed to pull it off.

Kyouya let out a sigh, giving you his arm. The red-eyed boy was finally offering you a part of him. This wasn't a dream, was it?

"Really?" you asked, hesitantly raising your arm.

Seeing your doubt, he clicked his tongue and grabbed your hand instead, pulling you next to him. Warm. Like his hug.

Walking side by side, his hand encompassing yours, protecting your fragile little hand. His grip at first was strong, enough to make you nearly yelp, but now it had retreated into a tender grasp. So delicate. He was afraid of breaking it.

"Do you notice anything different?"

He glanced at you for a brief moment. "Don't try so hard," he blatantly commented, noting your makeup and dress.

"I just wanted to look nice," you responded with irritation.

"You overdid it."

You huffed, swinging your hands back and forth to screw with Kyouya. But he instantaneously locked your hand from moving any further.

"Boo. Where're we going?"

"Someplace."

"Be more specific."

"You won't ever shut your mouth about sweets, so I thought I'd finally do something about it."

"So this is more for you?"

"We both get the benefits."

"Of course," you added sarcastically.

Immediately you took back what you said once you saw, a coffee shop that had recently opened and was bustling with customers. Kyouya opened the door, and just as you were about to follow he headed inside.

Growling, you burst through the door and looked left and right for Kyouya. Nowhere to be found.

"Miss, is there someone you're looking for?"

A young girl holding a serving tray peered at you. A light shade of purple hair covered the right half of her face, but she had a certain beauty to her.

"Yes-but-" You stopped midsentence when you see Kyouya sitting in one of the booths. Except he wasn't alone. Three girls leaned against the cushion, standing but chatting up Kyouya. Flirting. "Excuse me." Curling your hands into fists, you approached him.

He looked indifferent. "[Name], what took you so long?"

One of the girls twirling her hair paused, looking you up and down. You refused to sit.

"You left me outside."

She seemed mildly amused. Her hands cupped her mouth to disguise her snicker, but you could see right through.

"I didn't think you'd get lost."

"Is that all you can say?"

"What, are you his girlfriend?" she stepped in, folding her arms with a glare. "You must have a lot of money then, for him to be dating you."

"No, but-"

"Get a clue."

"That's-" Kyouya began, but she cut him off.

"He's not interested, honey."

"That's enough!"

Everyone turned their attention to him, and his dark aura began to show. What, were these girls attracted to him because of his princely disguise?

"Piss off. You really think I'd date any of you?" he scoffed. "I'd rather fucking die than be with a girl with such a filthy personality."

The girls looked stunned, even fearful, witnessing Kyouya's true personality. In the moment of silence, he rose up.

Grabbing your arm, Kyouya dragged you away from the booth. "W-wait-just a minute!" you protested. It was no use. The exit doors swung open and you slipped out along with him.

"What was that?" you angrily shouted. "Who were they, what did they want, why were they there, where-"

"I'm sorry. They wouldn't leave."

Wait, what?

"D-d-d-d-did you just apologize?"

"Don't make me say it twice."

It was cold. You were starving. This entire date was a disaster.

But like a love-struck idiot, you accepted his apology. You lightly punched his chest in annoyance and frustration, maybe even a few tears swelling from your eyes. You were disappointed.

"This was an awful first date," you said, rubbing the tears out of your eyes and smudging your makeup a bit.

He rummaged his pocket and pulled out a small box. He tossed it carelessly to you, but you quickly caught it.

"W-what is it?"

"Your collar."

"You're kidding, right?"

He smirked a little. You opened the box to reveal a necklace, glinting under the streetlights. It was beautiful. Simple but elegant, almost enough to make you cry again.

"Don't tell me you're going to cry aga-"

"I'm just so happy!" you wailed.

Kyouya sighed, picking it from your palms and looping it around your neck. He clicked it shut. "The closest thing to a collar."

You looked down at your neck, about to cry even harder from happiness.

"You're going to cry again?!"

"I CAN'T HELP IT!"
