Everyone was present at the dining table, eating their breakfast. But one of them was only playing with her food. Avni was lost in her thoughts. From the time she woke up, negative thoughts were revolving in her head. She was feeling as if something bad is going to happen. How much ever she tried to distract her mind, she couldn't.

Ansh was discussing work with his father while having his breakfast. "When is the meeting dad?" "Today at 3 p.m. But it's not necessary for you to attend it. I will manage. You have to take Avni to a doctor. Focus on that. If something comes up I will call you. Then only come to the office otherwise don't." "Okay, dad. But please do call me if you will need me." After discussing with his father, Ansh turned towards Avni who was sitting beside him. He saw that she had eaten very little and was playing with her food. Ansh moved closer to Avni and called her name in a whisper. After calling thrice also, Avni didn't respond. But when Ansh called her name in a little louder tone, Avni got startled and looked at him. Hearing Ansh others also stopped eating and were now looking at both of them.

"Avni what happened?" "Uh- huh.. nothing," Avni replied while looking down at her food. "Then why are you not eating your breakfast?" "I'm full. I don't want to eat anymore." "But you have eaten so little." "Ansh don't force her. She must not be feeling well," Pratima said. She understood that Avni was tensed regarding the checkup. Pratima was continuously praying to god for Avni's well being. She was hoping the checkup goes well and nothing negative comes in the result.

After the breakfast, both set off to the hospital. During the ride, Avni was silent and was continuously look out of the window. From time to time Ansh would glance at her and find her in the same position. He knew something is off with her. She has been quiet from the morning. He took her hand in his and kissed it. He wanted her to feel that he is there for her.

Feeling Ansh's kissing her knuckles, Avni turned her head towards him. "What is it Avni? From the morning you seem to be lost in your thoughts." "I don't know Ansh Ji but it feels like something bad is going to happen. "Don't think like that. Just be positive. Nothing is going to happen to you." "I am trying Ansh ji but still these negative feelings are not going away." "Then do one thing. I will play your Korean songs. You just close your eyes and concentrate on them. It will help you forget those bad feelings." Ansh played the Korean songs in the car. Just as Ansh had said, Avni closed her eyes and tried to concentrate on the songs. But it was also not helping. It was like those bad thoughts had established a home in her head and are not ready to leave it yet.

Soon the couple reached the hospital. Since they had already taken an appointment, Both went and sat in the waiting room of Gynaecologist ward. Avni was continuously tapping her feet out of nervousness. She turned her head towards Ansh and found him looking back at her. "Ansh ji?" "Yeah.." "What if something is wrong with me?" "Don't worry there is nothing wrong with you. The only thing that in you that has a problem cannot be treated here." "Huh?" Avni was confused. She couldn't understand what was he saying. Your......." "Yeah..." Avni was waiting for him to answer but Ansh went on dragging. " You know what Ansh ji leave... I don't want to know." Avni said irritatedly and folded her hands. Ansh laughed seeing her action and thanked God that she was not thinking about those bad feelings or intuitions she had been getting from the morning.

When their time came, both entered the cabin and took their seat. After exchanging some formal greeting, The doctor inquired about the problems Avni is having. "Doctor, Sometimes I don't get my periods for three to four months continuously. Then once I get my periods, it normally occurs for some months and then once again stops for another some months. And every time I get my periods, the stomach pain gets unbearable." Throughout the time, Avni was talking to the doctor, Ansh had held her hand in his. He knew she was nervous. But now he was also getting nervous.

"After hearing your problem, I think you are suffering from PCOD, Mrs Ahuja. But let me first take an ultrasound to be 100% sure." The doctor leads them to the ultrasound room. Avni laid down on the bed and once again Ansh held her hand. He didn't want to leave her hand even for a second. The doctor took the ultrasound and told them to go back to his cabin. After sometimes the doctor joined them.

"Mrs Ahuja, just I had said. You are suffering from PCOD. It's Polycystic Ovarian Disease." "What kind of disease is this doctor?" Ansh asked the doctor. Patients suffering from PCOD have multiple small cysts in their ovaries. These cysts occur when the regular changes of a normal menstrual cycle are disrupted. It may also lead to infertility." Both were shocked hearing it. Avni was on verge of crying but was trying her best to control it."How can it be cured?" Ansh asked. " In this case, PCOD is not severe. It can be controlled with regular exercise and diet control. I am giving you some medicines. Please take it on time. And one more thing. Are you two trying for a baby?" "No doctor.. not now..." "But I advise you to try. Because it usually takes time for PCOD patient to get pregnant."

The couple was finding it hard to digest so many information. Avni wasn't even able to speak any words. Ansh tried to take all the required information. "What about her period pain?" "It will reduce eventually after she gives birth. Mr Ahuja makes sure to take care of Mrs Ahuja. She needs to exercise regularly and have healthy food. No words were exchanged as the two walked out of the hospital.As soon as Avni sat in the car, her tears rolled down her cheeks. Seeing Avni cry, Ansh pulled her closer and hugged her. "Avni please don't cry. Everything is going to be fine. We will follow the doctor's instruction and you will be fine. Please, Avni.." Tears were starting to form in Ansh's eyes. "What if I can never get pregnant? What if we can never have children? Ansh ji..." "Shhh... shhhh.. shh.. don't talk like that. I have already told you Avni I will never let anything happen to you. We will face your problem together. Don't think too much now. Let's just focus on your recovery. Please stop crying Avni. I can't see you crying. Please."
