ย  ย  ย Sora's feet thudded against the unforgiving terrain, her heart pounding in her chest as she sprinted through the scorching forest. "What the heck is happening?" she shouted, stealing a quick glance over her shoulder at Sero, who was hot on her heels. "I have no idea," he replied, his voice filled with urgency. "But Mandalay told us that we could use our Quirks to protect ourselves." As he spoke, tape shot out from his elbows, swiftly wrapping around Sora just as a nearby tree crashed to the ground. Thanks to Sero's quick reflexes, they narrowly avoided being crushed, and Sora landed safely on the ground, her arm slipping away from his.
ย  ย  ย With their eyes fixed on the path ahead, they continued to sprint, keeping a vigilant watch for any potential adversaries. The sound of screams echoed in the distance, spurring Sora to push her legs even harder, tearing through the dense foliage. Suddenly, a tall and slender figure dressed entirely in black stood before her, his arms bound together by a straitjacket. His face was obscured by a black head covering that was connected to the straitjacket, leaving only his mouth exposed. Sinister silver hooks held his mouth wide open, while the black suit he wore was adorned with red spikes along the front, held together by black restraints.
ย  ย  "Wow, that guy seems really serious," Sero exclaimed, abruptly halting in his tracks, causing a cloud of dirt to billow behind him. Sora's eyes widened in horror as she watched the tall, thin man in front of them shoot sharp metal projectiles from his teeth, slicing through the skin of their classmates. Shoji's hand landed on the ground beside him as Tokoyami was engulfed by Dark Shadow. "Get out of here!" he shouted at the newly arrived pair, instantly drawing the attention of the Teeth man. The razor-sharp blades came crashing down towards them, but Sero quickly reacted by shooting tape and attempting to wrap it around the blades. Unfortunately, the blades effortlessly sliced through the tape.
ย  ย  ย Thinking fast, Sora raised her hand and created a thick water barrier in front of them. Although it wasn't enough to completely stop the man's attacks, it bought them enough time to dodge out of harm's way. With a narrow escape and only a minor scratch, Sora's body collided with the unforgiving ground. As she glanced back at the man, her body began to freeze, and Dark Shadow swirled around them, causing branches to fall. Shielding her eyes from the debris, she shouted, "We need to find Shoto!" before quickly getting back on her feet and sprinting through the forest. However, her path was immediately blocked by a man standing in front of her. Suddenly, a voice called out, "It's him," causing a sharp pain to shoot through her head."

But, you've gone to far ahead. Let's take this story back a few notches, we were only at the previews before. This story begins at the entrance exam."ย

ย  ย  Sora found herself standing at the entrance of UA High School, her stomach filled with nervous anticipation. Clutching onto the small bag in her hand, she knew it contained all the necessary tools for the written test that awaited her after the ceremony. As she observed the bustling crowd of students making their way into the imposing building, she couldn't help but feel a surge of anxiety. In an attempt to calm her nerves, she took a deep breath and took a small step forward, ready to embark on her future. Suddenly, a voice broke through her thoughts,
ย  ย  ย "Are you just as nervous?". Sora turned to see a girl with pink skin standing beside her. The girl, who was around the same height as Sora, exuded confidence and had a mischievous smile on her face. Her short, unruly pink hair danced in the wind, adding to her unique appearance. Sora met the girl's oddly shaped eyes and admitted that she was indeed nervous,
ย  ย  ย "Today is the beginning of my future," Sora responded. The pink-skinned girl playfully complained that Sora's words were making her nervous too, her hands clasped together and swaying back and forth. Sora couldn't help but chuckle at the girl's eccentricity. Introducing herself as Mina, the girl extended her hand towards Sora. Sora reciprocated the gesture, shaking Mina's hand, and the two of them ventured into the halls of UA together.
ย  ย  ย "We can't let them start without us." Mina called out with a smile, urging them not to start without them. She wanted to ease their nerves and admired the determination in Sora. It was the kind of drive that would be necessary for the long years of high school. They quickly entered the building, with Sora noticing someone stumbling out of the corner of her eye, only to be saved by a mysterious force. Ignoring the commotion behind her, she continued walking amidst the chatter of other students. Eventually, they reached the auditorium and chose seats in the middle row. Mina released Sora's hand and gave her a reassuring look. Soon, a tall man with spiked blonde hair appeared on stage.
ย  ย  ย "Welcome, candidates! Thank you for joining us. Show me your excitement!" he exclaimed into the microphone, extending his hand towards the silent crowd. "It's okay if you're the quiet type. We all know why you're here. Let's get started with the practical exam. Are you ready?" he shouted, raising his hand in the air. The crowd remained silent, causing him to look down in disappointment. "You should have received a pamphlet on your way in," he continued, prompting Sora to glance down at the folded paper in her hand.
ย  ย  ย "Attention, ladies and gentlemen! Prepare yourselves for an exciting experience! You will be divided into groups and engage in a thrilling mock battle set in an urban environment for a duration of 10 minutes. Brace yourselves as you face off against three formidable villains. The scoring system ranges from 1 to 3 points." The show continued, and everyone glanced at their pamphlets.
ย  ย  ย "We have been separated," Mina expressed with disappointment in her voice. Sora couldn't comprehend why Mina was upset; after all, they had only just met a few minutes ago. However, Sora didn't mind as she quickly felt a sense of belonging. "That's peculiar," Sora remarked as she read the contents of her pamphlet. Suddenly, a boy with short blue hair stood up in the crowd, raising his hand high in the air.
ย  ย  ย "If I may ask a question, please!" he exclaimed, capturing the attention of those around him. The conversation continued, and Sora soon discovered that there were four robot villains to confront in the mock battle. However, it was crucial to avoid and disregard the 0-point villain. Something about this instruction felt unsettling to her. "Why are we supposed to ignore this particular villain?" she pondered silently, too anxious to voice her question. "Alright, everyone, proceed to your designated stations!" the man on stage announced, pointing towards the exit as the others stood up and began to make their way out.ย

ย  ย  ย Mina rose to her feet before Sora joined her, closely trailing behind the pink-haired girl. "I wish you the best of luck," Mina said, her gaze fixed on the door ahead of her, the same one depicted on her Pamphlet. "Yes, indeed," Sora replied, turning to continue walking until she spotted the door with her name on it.
ย  ย  ย "Well, here goes nothing," she whispered, her eyes fixed on the door as she observed the students eagerly waiting to enter. Suddenly, a male voice spoke out, sounding slightly aggressive.
ย  ย  ย "You appear nervous, as you should be," the voice remarked. Confused, Sora turned around and locked eyes with an irate man with crimson eyes. Startled, she took a step back in shock. "Well, of course I am," she managed to say, her gaze still fixed on him.
ย  ย  ย He was an average-height boy with a slender yet muscular physique, sporting spikey blonde hair atop his head. His choppy bangs hung just above his eyebrows, and his eyes were sharp and crimson in color. Feeling overwhelmed by his intimidating presence, Sora nervously swallowed as he loomed over her.
ย  ย  ย "You better not obstruct my path, little one," he warned before turning on his heels and striding towards his next target. "Don't worry about him. He simply has an inflated ego," a girl's voice reassured Sora. She looked around, only to see clothes hanging on an invisible body, which startled her as she realized her own quirk was invisibility.ย
ย  ย  ย "I apologize for startling you," she said, her hand floating in the air as she waved it in front of her. "You're alright!" Sora replied, running her hand through her hair and flashing a nervous smile. "I just didn't realize you were behind me." She chuckled, struggling to find a response that wouldn't come across as rude.
ย  ย  ย Suddenly, the man on stage shouted over them, his voice booming through the speakers scattered around the large stadium. The doors slowly opened as he exclaimed, "Are you ready!" "Begin!" he yelled, and people started rushing through the opening doors. Sora leaped up, her heart pounding in her chest as her feet pounded against the ground. She quickly entered the fighting ring, water forming around her hand as a 1-point robot approached her.
ย  ย  ย She shot the water, which she controlled from a nearby puddle, at the robot. The water rushed into the robot's crevices, causing it to short circuit and fall over. Looking down, Sora noticed a student who was unaware that they were about to be crushed.
ย  ย  ย "Oh no," she muttered, using the little water she had left from the puddle to wrap around her foot and propel herself forward. With her last burst of speed, she slid across the ground on her legs and swooped the student up, just as the robot landed right behind them.ย
ย  ย  ย His face displayed a look of astonishment, while the dust enveloped them from the impact. "Thank you!" he uttered, before redirecting his attention to his 2-pointer. She nodded in agreement as she hurried back onto the field, where various 2 and 1-pointers emerged. Utilizing the water, she could find around her, she skillfully defeated the robots.
ย  ย  ย Sora had to pause a few times to assist individuals who were unaware of their proximity to the falling debris. It was somewhat frustrating, as it hindered her ability to accumulate as many points as possible. However, she couldn't abandon them and risk their safety. Suddenly, an explosion resonated from her left, and the blond boy from earlier swiftly dispatched the surrounding robots at an impressive speed.
ย  ย  ย "He's going to amass all the points at this rate," she thought to herself, only to realize that someone was about to be caught in the boy's explosion range. With a click of her tongue, she rushed over just in time to shield the other student from the boy's attack aimed at the 3-pointer. The explosion erupted from his body, causing Sora and the student to be momentarily propelled through the air.
ย  ย  ย "You can't simply shoot recklessly!" she shouted at the boy as she swiftly regained her footing, checking on the slightly injured student. The blond boy disregarded her comment, stating, "He shouldn't have obstructed my path," before swiftly turning on his heel and sprinting away.ย
ย  ย  ย She shifted her focus to the young boy, a 2-pointer approaching them. Swiftly, she manipulated the water, causing the robot to power down.
ย  ย  ย "Are you alright?" she inquired, extending her hand to assist him in standing up. The boy nodded before dashing towards another 2-pointer and defeating it. Letting out a sigh, she murmured, "I only have 32 points." The surrounding individuals engaged in conversations about their significant leads, with most accumulating 50 or even 60 points. She found herself rapidly falling behind. Suddenly, a commotion erupted to her left.
ย  ย  ย Dirt swirled around her as she raised her hand, peering into the distance. A colossal robot thrashed its arms, prompting people to scatter in fear. "The 0-pointer," she gasped, turning to flee like the other students. However, her attention was abruptly drawn back to the robot as a boy was sent hurtling through the air. Paralyzed by shock, she watched as his fist collided with the robot's head, resulting in a broken arm upon impact. His body began descending towards the ground. In an instant, Sora harnessed the water surrounding her, fashioning them into makeshift steps to reach the boy.ย
ย  ย  ย She propelled herself upwards, extending her arm to catch the falling boy before he made contact with the ground. Beside her, another girl leaped off the ground, reaching out towards him. Her hand lightly brushed against his hair, causing him to hover in mid-air. Sora held onto him tightly as they descended slowly to the ground. "Release," the exhausted girl muttered from her position on the rock, causing Sora to land softly on the ground. She bent down, carefully laying the unconscious boy with green hair on the grass.
ย  ย  ย  "I apologize, it seemed like you had everything under control," Sora remarked, glancing at the girl who was now hunched over, vomiting. "Or perhaps not," Sora added, taking a step back in disgust. "Time's up!" a voice boomed from the speaker. "Oh, I haven't earned enough points yet!" she thought to herself.
ย  ย  ย "Oh dear," a raspy voice interjected as an elderly woman approached the scene. She gently brushed against the boy's purple arm, remarking, "A quirk that fractures your own bones." Her lips extended towards his twisted limb. Sora watched in awe as the boy's arms slowly straightened, starting from his fingers. His skin regained its normal color.
ย  ย  ย "He should be fully healed now," the elderly woman declared. She had neatly styled gray hair in a bun and a syringe tucked into her hair. To maintain her balance, she relied on a cane that doubled as a syringe.ย
ย  ย  ย "His endurance will be diminished, so I will instruct the robot to transport him on a stretcher." She conversed with the man beside her as they delicately positioned the unconscious boy with green hair onto the stretcher. They floated him away from the arena. "Very well! All the students may exit through the doors behind them. We will evaluate your scores and send a notification via mail." A new voice droned through the speaker. She glanced at the individuals surrounding her as they gradually made their way out of the arena, engaging in animated conversations about their scores. Inhaling deeply, she placed her hand over her chest, slightly bending her body as she attempted to calm her breath.
ย  ย  ย "I thought I told you to stay out of my path," a voice called out to her. Straightening herself, she turned around to face the blond boy from the beginning of the examination. "You could have caused that boy's demise," Sora reprimanded him, crossing her arms over her chest. "He should not have gotten in my way," the boy curtly replied. Sora took a deep breath to quell her anger.
ย  ย  ย "You aspire to be a hero. That is the very reason you are here," she stated, pausing momentarily as the boy's face contorted in annoyance. Before he could utter another word, Sora interjected, "A hero's duty extends beyond mere combat. It also entails safeguarding those who inadvertently find themselves in harm's way. Your actions back there were reckless. If you truly wish to become the best, you must be mindful of your surroundings. Do not unleash your powers without restraint; that is the behavior of a villain." She now stood closer to him, extending her hand in front of her as she pointed her finger at him.ย
ย  ย  ย He was taken aback, his face displaying anger, while she swiftly turned to leave. She had already grown tired of the conversation and had no desire to hear anything more from him. Exiting the arena, she made her way towards the station. Her body felt weary and burdened. After nearly an hour of train travel, she disembarked at her stop and embarked on the rather long walk to the Orphanage. Ami eagerly embraced her upon arrival, exclaiming, "Sora's home!" The child was wearing pajamas, as the sun had already set.
ย  ย  ย "And someone is up past their bedtime," Sora scolded, lifting the child and placing her back in bed. "She insisted on waiting for you to come home," Nori mentioned, propping herself up with one arm. "How did it go?" she inquired. Sora slumped against the bed; her arms sprawled out beside her. "If I passed, it was by the narrowest of margins," she joked, a soft laugh filling the room. "I'm sure you did wonderfully," Nori reassured her.
ย  ย  ย "You are strong. I've witnessed you use your quirk a few times. It's amazing how you can manipulate water pressure to almost levitate off the ground. Perhaps one day, you'll even be able to walk on water and soar through the sky." Nori continued, gazing up at the ceiling with a smile. Sora smiled back, turning onto her side. "I'll just have to wait," she whispered softly, her eyes closing as she drifted off to sleep.
ย  ย  ย A few weeks had passed, the Granny came rushing in from the post office, "It's here!" She yelled out, holding a white envelope in her hand with the UA Stamp. Sora rushed to her feet, grabbing the paper from Granny's hand. Her body began to shake slightly, staring at the white envelope,
ย  ย  ย "Hurry open it!" The old lady spoke. Sora continued to stare deeply at the stamp on the front that held the pieces together. Turning around, heading towards the steps, she didn't want to open it in front of everyone. Afraid that she was rejected and didn't want them to see the sadness in her eyes, not a word to them as she closed the bedroom door behind her. Nori looked over, still able to move her neck, her eyes landed on the envelope. "It came in?" She asked, seeing the pure nervousness in Sora's eyes, "Hey, I know you go in." She reassured as Sora sat on the edge of the bed beside Nori.
ย  ย  ย "I really hope I got in." She said, her hands wrapping around the paper as she slowly tore it apart, revealing the paper that would give her the answers. A small glint that reflected off the sun caught her attention. A small round piece was pushed neatly inside the envelope, grabbing a hold of the object as it laid flat in her hand.ย  A hologram of All Might appeared before her, spooking the two girls slightly. "Hello young Sora." All Might spoke looking at her. "As one of the new teachers at UA-" Sora eyes widen, slight confusion filled her face. "All Might is a teacher?" Nori asked, staring at the hologram as her hand wrapped around Sora's for comfort.ย
ย  ย  ย "You achieved 4th place in the exam, with a villain score of 48. However, there was a small twist added to the mix," he continued. Sora furrowed her eyebrows and quietly asked, "A twist?" Unaware that extra points were being added, she exclaimed, "Rescue points?" Her confusion grew as she couldn't bear to see anyone get hurt in front of her.
ย  ย  ย "Your rescue points totaled 57, resulting in a final score of 100 points," All Might announced. "You displayed bravery by putting yourself in front of others to protect them, a crucial trait for a true Hero. In the written test, you scored 78 percent. With great pride, I welcome you to UA as one of our students in the Hero Course!" As the hologram began to fade, Nori beamed at Sora, exclaiming,
ย  ย  ย "You got in!" She tightly squeezed Sora's hand, tears welling up in her eyes. Sora was still in disbelief at the news of being accepted into Japan's most prestigious hero school. Suddenly, the door swung open, and Ami rushed in, embracing Sora. "You did it!" she exclaimed joyfully. The granny, standing at the doorway with her hands clasped together, declared, "This calls for a celebration."ย
ย  ย  Sora's face brightened with a smile amidst her
