"Change of plans...? What exactly do you mean, Nene-chan?"

Yashiro has previously given you the details about what happened during Hanako's confession.

It turns out that your worries were right and the tree did have something to do with the strange occurrences between students around the school.

"Mhm! It turns out that we don't know much about Hanako-Kun after all. So we should try to learn about him!"

"Ah... I guess your right. But..."

You bit your lip as you tried to find the right way to ask your desired question.

"Is Hanako-Kun alright with this decision? It feels a bit wrong to pry..."

I'd like to know more about him too... But forcing information out of him seems a bit harsh to me.

Especially after that afternoon with him in the hallway. It feels wrong to pick at his past without him fully trusting us...

"He doesn't have a choice! We'll find out his dirty secrets one way or another!"

Yashiro looked on darkly, a scary smirk grew on her face while she walked with you towards the rooftop.

"Well, I guess there's no stopping you now..."

━━°•°°•°━━

"Ehhh, What do you want my personal information for? Something dirty I bet."

"Th-There's nothing dirty about it! It's for a compatibility reading! Tell him, Y/N-chan!"

You nodded calmly, not seeming to notice the squeezing on your shoulders from a pair of icy hands, only known as Hanako's.

"I know it sounds a bit unusual but I don't think she means any harm by it."

Yashiro beamed at your answer gripping the shoulders of a blond hair boy, who, unlike you, sat uncomfortably in his position.

"Umm... Why am I stuck between you three?"

You smiled sympathetically unsure of how to answer his question. If it weren't for Yashiro's plan, you would've been just as confused as him.

"Yashiro is being pushy!"

"Hanako-Kun's being stingy!"

Yashiro pushed her teen magazine towards the direction You and Hanako had been seated.

"We only want to know your real name, blood type, family structure, and date of death!"

"Why do you need my date of death for a compatibility reading?"
Hanako inquired.

"Calm down..." Kou interjected.

It would almost be funny to you if you weren't being pushed in between the two. You didn't want to hurt Yashiro's feelings by saying no, and you didn't want to disrespect Hanako's privacy by agreeing.

You felt that it was best to just simply stay quiet.

"Anyway, you should do a compatibility reading with someone you like. Like Minamoto-senpai."

Hanako's words caused Yashiro to pale at the thought. She quickly disagreed with Hanako's statement.

"I-I don't so much like Minamoto-senpai as idolize him! He's like an actor or a pop star."

"He's out of reach, but I'm happy just looking at him."

Yashiro's eyes sparkled as she drifted off into her mind again. You could almost feel the romantic fantasies radiate from her soul and you could help but chuckle.

Suddenly you feel another soul pressure near you. It almost felt like Hanako's. Strong and sturdy, it felt familiar but you couldn't place a finger on it.

"Oh, Minamoto-senpai... What a wonderful gentlemen."

"Thank you very much."

You watched quietly with Hanako and Kou as the interaction between Minamoto-senpai and Yashiro unfolded. The soul pressure was more apparent now, and something in your mind told you that you wouldn't forget the feeling easily.

"M-M-Minamoto-senpai?!"

"Nii-Chan!"

"Nii-Chan?/NII-CHAN?!"

You and Yashiro repeated the words at the same time, curiosity lacing your voice while pure shock laced Yashiro's.

Now that I think about it... They both look alike and have the same last names. Not to mention that Kou spoke of an older brother he looks up to, so Minamoto-senpai must be him.

"Are you Yashiro-san? I don't believe we've met..."

Hanako popped up beside you, looking at Yashiro with a confused look.

"Huh? I thought you said he picked up your pencil case."

"N-Nice to meet you!"

"I'm Minamoto Teru, thanks for looking after my little brother."

Teru looked towards the direction of you and Hanako, his demeanor becoming much colder. He mumbled something under his breath that you couldn't quite catch, but the look alone caused your hairs to stand on end.

Hanako seemed to catch on as well, his soul felt much tenser than before and he started to subconsciously drift closer to you.

"You come with me. We need to talk."

You watched as the two walked away, you breathed a sigh of relief when you saw them disappear out of sight.

What was with that look...? Why did he look annoyed with both me and Hanako-Kun?

Worry welled up in your stomach as you looked towards the area where the two Minamoto brothers have disappeared. Your thoughts were abruptly interrupted by the feeling of two soft hands cupping yours.

"Y/N-Chan! Did you see the way he looked at me? Ge even spoke to me for more than a minute!!"

Yashiro's eyes sparkled brighter than before as she looked on. Her cheeks were shaded pink and her grip around your hands began to soften.

"Come to think of it, they have the same last name! Minamoto!"

Her face changed instantly as she began to intently put together the pieces that Teru and Kou were related.

It was a bit late, but you felt proud of her in a way.

You felt a tug on your arm and was quickly pulled from Yashiro's grasp, who didn't even seem to notice. Hanako pulled you closer and held a hand over his mouth, looking serious.

"He definitely knows about us... The way he looked in our direction was pretty stern."

You nodded and mirrored his hand gesture, covering your mouth in a secretive manner as well.

"He's and exorcists just like Kou-kun, and a strong one too. His soul pressure is really strong and is different from Kou-Kun's entirely."

"But... Why did he look at me like that? I'm a human, plus he's seen me before for sure and had never glared at me at all."

Hanako sighed and straightened his posture, his face became unreadable and the connection between your souls flickered for a moment. You bit your inner cheek as you tried to read his soul again, but nothing came of it. It felt as if he completely shut off your ability to read him.

It worried you.

"Hanako-kun...?"

You tugged on his sleeve, causing him to turn back towards you with a slightly startled look.

"Are you alright? Ever since this morning you've been acting out of character. I'm worried about you."

Your eyebrows furrowed as you tried desperately to read his soul again, but no matter what something still felt... Off.

"Y/N..."

Hanako's eyes widened for a moment, then he reached onto your face and pinched your cheeks, catching you off guard.

"Nothing ever passes you, huh? I'd be pretty annoyed if it wasn't so cute!"

You desperately tried to pull his hands off, you could feel the swelling begin after he finally let go.

You ignored his teases and stood your ground, crossing your arms across your chest and glaring at him.

"I'm not joking! I care about your wellbein-"

"Don't."

This time, Hanako just smiled at you fondly. He placed a hand on the top of your head and chuckled.

"I know you can't help it, but constantly trying to read my soul is kinda stalkerish. Don't you think so?"

━━°•°°•°━━

"Ah... now I feel even worse..."

"He... Called me a stalker!"

"But I'm not like that... Am I?"

You look towards your cream-haired friend in hopes of a positive answer, instead, she smiled apologetically and a sweatdrop slid down her cheek.

"I would agree with you, Y/N-Chan... But the amount of books you're reading tells me otherwise."

You looked towards the mountains of books that could hold information about Hanako in at least one of them. You sighed with a defeated look and continued to flip through the pages in silence, scanning the lines for clues.

You gently closed the book that you were reading and sighed, looking up at the piles of books you've collected. You could feel Yashiro's worried gaze on you as you heard her close her book as well.

"I don't know much about your ability yet... But I don't feel stalked whenever I'm around you! We're close friends and to me, you being here is all that matters to me!"

You felt your spirits being lifted with her words, you smiled confidently at her and she smiled fondly back.

"Thanks, I feel much better now. Did you find anything in your books?"

Yashiro sighed and flipped through her book once more.

"Nothing... I thought that we might learn something about Hanako-kun from a book, but it's all stuff that you would read in elementary school."

"And I can't find anything about a boy Hanako-san anywhere. I knew that was weird..."

You nod in agreement, placing a hand on your cheek to support it. In the action of doing so, you accidentally knock off your piles of books from the table.

"Aw... What a mess. I should hurry and clean this up before the books get damaged."

Yashiro slipped out of her seat with a worried look and began to pick up some books.

"I'll help! So don't worry about it, alright?"

Before you could reply, one of the books that had fallen was offered to you by someone else. You tilted your head up to see another student with pretty green hair and eyes.

"Thank you!"

You flashed the girl a thankful smile and gently took the book from her hands, then you placed your pile of books back on the table.

"Tell me... Why are you two interested in the Seven Wonders?"

The green-haired girl asked, she looked down at Yashiro who still seemed to be a little shocked by the female's mysterious arrival.

"Something like that..." Yashiro replied with a shy smile.

The mysterious girl looked down at the books in Yashiro's hands and read out one of the titles.

"Hanako-san... Oh, the cat-like kid."

The girl proceeded to raise her hands over her head. She mimicked the ears of a cat which Yashiro confusingly followed.

"Willful, selfish, and needy. Is yours the same way?"

You placed a finger on your chin as you analyzed the girl's words. What did she mean when she asked that.

Before you could ask, the girl stepped towards the exit of the library, but she paused and glanced in your direction.

"If you want to know more about him, visit the fifth of the Seven Wonders."

Then the girl continued to walk away, there was a boy who waved to her on the other side of the door. Although the girl's entrance was a swift as her departure, it still left you with so many unanswered questions.

"W-WAIT!!"

Yashiro called out frantically, she tried to run after the girl but instead clumsily bumped into a taller man, you didn't notice him before but his spiritual aura seemed to be different from other teachers. His aura kinda reminded you of Hanako.

"W-What do you think you're doing? No running in the librar-"

"I'm sorry!"

Yashiro pushed past the man and ran out of the room. You shook your head and sighed, walking over to the man and picking up his scattered papers.

"I'm sorry for her behavior... please forgive us for the ruckus."

The man grumbled under his breath and took the papers from your hand, you smiled at him sympathetically before running after your frantic friend.

"Nene-san! Wait up!"
