Chapter Seventeen – Dawn

Dawn arrived coating the skies pink with a touch of red and orange fortelling that today would be a good day, looking out the window showed a line of fog that a couple of pups in their wolf forms were trying to catch with their teeth said that it was going to be warm, even hot, later on. Overall, it was hopefully going to be a good day. The only downfall would be being stuffed on a train all day.

Looking up from my bowl of cereal, I saw Daniel heading towards me. Still in pjama's. Sliding into the seat next to me he spoke around a yawn. "Uuuuggaaadaaamynyba."

"What?" I asked, not understanding a single word that he'd tried to say.

"You've got the minibus. I asked the pack last night after you were put into bed, you've got the minibus to go back in as it'll save cost with the amont of you heading back."

"Tell the Pack, and our new Alpha, that I say thanks," I ate another bite of cereal before continuing. "Have you seen– Nevermind."

Godric – the one I was about to ask about – stalked into the room, Raziela following. But then they parted, Raziela coming over to us with a glow only a mating wolf could have while Godric stomped into the kitchen reaching for a bowl and a mug. I raised a brow at Raziela. While she looked happy, their was an undertone of sadness, and Godric? He was stomping around like he had a bees nest up his ass.

"What happened?" I asked quietly, so only Raziela and my brother could hear.

Raziela glanced in Godric's direction before turning back to us and baring her neck to show a deep through mark. I sniffed the air around her and her previous light, airy scent held a touch of storm rain with a touch of electric before it burnt. But the scent of electric was weaker than the rain. But her scent told me one thing, she and Godric had mated last night. And if Godric's stomping was any indication, he wasn't too happy with it.

"What's wrong?" I rephrased.

Raziela looked happy for a moment. "I'm mated..." her face crumbled, "to a mate who doesn't want a submissive wolf." She looked up and I had to quickly mask the look of confusion that had taken over. An Omega wants a dominant wolf as a mate? "He wanted a strong mate to stand by him. Like you, Zarah."

I shook my head. "Just wait, Ela," I said, using the packs nickname for her. "I have a feeling that it won't be long until Godric realises how strong you are."

She gave me a confused frown.

"You just have to show him how strong you are."

Her face cleared as she understood. Her head whipped to Godric then back to me before she nodded. Raziela could touch silver and not be harmed thanks to her mixed blood. And she was the only half-wolf-human I knew with that gift.

Conversation stopped when Godric came over, placing a bowl of cereal in front of Raziela. She said thank you, which in return she only got a grunt. That was starting to become a theme around Omega's at the table. They come over, conversation stops.

"Are you ready to leave in fifteen?" I asked Godric.

He sent me a growl as he turned back to the kettle that had boiled while he'd made Raziela breakfast, pouring the hot liquid into a mug. Well, I thought, someones not a morning wolf without their caffine.

Standing, I moved over to where Godric remained, I didn't touch him. I kept a foot's distance between us as I asked the same question I'd asked Raziela. "What's wrong?"

Godric growled, and I knew, before I'd honestly met Darius, I would have stumbled back at his growl, instead, I stayed standing where I was. I didn't move away. Godric looked at me then, his eyes pissed. "I want her to stay here."

"I figured that out myself. Why?"

His eyes snapped at my easy tone. "Are you forgetting what we're all doing? Have you forgotton what life she'll be dragged into?" he came closer, more so in intimiation. "She's weak. She won't survive."

A smile appeared on my face. "She's stronger than you think, Godric. Just wait."

For the first time since I saw him, instead of blank, pissed, or annoyed, he was curious. I saw it in the lines on his forhead tightened. Pulled his eyebrows in. His frown did ruin the confusion however. "We'll see."

"Don't worry, Godric. Nothing bad will happen to her. I won't let it."

Godric stepped back, glancing at his mate and my brother who were glancing at us everynow and again.

"Besides," I continued, making him turn back to me. "If something bad happens, I can garentee that it will be Raziela out of her chains first."
