Meanwhile, on the docks, Fred, Velma, and Daphne found their way to the purple painted boat, which was the Erie Pointe Floating Museum, which was closed to the public due to construction and remodeling and repainting.

"There it is. The purple boat." Daphne comments

"There SHE is."Fred corrects. "A boat is referred to as a she, like a girl. But not one who goes around playing tennis with every boy boat in the harbor."

Velma rose an eyebrow before noticing a trail of paint that led up the stairs to the boat.

"Hey, guys, look." Velma comments. "A paint trail."

Daphne took a look.

"Yep, that cloaked figure was definitely here." Daphne comments

"Well, all hands on deck." Fred comments

They all stepped on board the Floating Museum, one by one entering and looking around, not noticing the Lake Monster emerging from the water and following them.

While looking around the Floating Museum, the place wasn't exactly in the best condition. Paintings weren't hung up, some spots were in serious need of a new coating of paint, and one of the doors was boarded up even. Daphne notices a trail of footprints the same color as the paint trail they had been following.

"Fred, Velma, look!" Daphne comments

The three followed the trail to an open hatch that led into the lower decks of the boat.

"Ladies first." Fred comments

"Mm-mm. I'm not going in there first." Daphne comments

"I won't either." Fred responds

Velma groaned as she started going down, sneezing a little. Fred follows Velma, and Daphne follows Fred, not noticing the Lake Monster swiping out trying to grab her. When into the lower decks of the boat, they looked around.

"Daphne, Fred, you guys look in that storage room, i'm gonna poke around in a couple other areas down here." Velma comments

Fred opens the door to Storage Room #2 as Velma walked off to explore the rest of the boat, going through a side hall. Fred and Daphne then proceed to enter Storage Room #2, not noticing the Lake Monster shove Velma into a closet, shutting her in and locking her in.

Meanwhile, Fred and Daphne look around the storage room after Daphne switched on the lights, finding a chest full of old maps and newspapers.

"Looks like a bunch of old newspapers. Dating all the way back to when Thanksgiving was first declared a holiday." Fred comments

Daphne kept looking through some papers, Fred finding a couple about Wanda Grubwort.

"Hey, some of these are about that witch from Elmer Uggins' legend, Wanda Grubwort." Fred comments

"'Evil staff'???" Daphne asks

Fred nodded and says, "Yeah. Didn't Elmer say an ancient staff was the source of her black magic?"

Daphne looked through a few more papers.

"And look at this one." Daphne comments, showing the newspaper to Fred

"THAT must be what the monster's looking for. The pieces of the staff that's the source of the powers." Fred comments

"Problem is....we don't know who's controlling that thing still." Daphne stated

Fred caught sight of a headline on one of the newspapers, mentioning Wanda Grubwort having had kids.

"Maybe we do." Fred says, showing the paper to Daphne

Daphne looked it over.

'Wanda Grubwort had children......that means that she could still have descendants living in town!" Daphne stated

"Maybe one of them got angry when your uncle built on their ancestors land and decided to try to take revenge." Fred stated

That's when the door to the room slammed shut and locked.

"What was that?????" Daphne questions

Fred rammed the door a couple times with his elbow, having to try to use his strength Semblance to try to knock it down, but no avail.

"It's locked!!" Fred comments. "Hello??!?!??!?!?!??!?!??? Velma??!?!???? Anybody??!????"

However, no response. Fred used his Semblance a couple more times to try to ram the door down, but again to no avail.

"Oh great." Daphne groaned. "If we don't get this door open, we're gonna be stuck in here all night!!"

That's when a pipe cracked and water began spraying out,a s if something or someone had applied too much pressure.

"That might be the least of our worries!" Fred responds, ramming the door a few more times. "HELP!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!"

Fred slammed on the door window, but no one, again, not a single response.

More and more pipes busted and the room began filling with water. They kept calling for help, but no one was hearing them. That's when the water eventually got up to their shoulders.

'Fred....if you don't do something, we're gonna drown!!!" Daphne comment

"Oh, I have an idea, why don't we call one of those guys you were playing tennis  with, maybe they'd know what to do!" Fred comments, still ramming on the door

"OI knew it, you ARE jealous!!" Daphne responds

"Yeah, maybe I am!!" Fred comments

"Good, that was the point!!" Daphne snapped

Fred grabbed a model harpoon gun that was modeled as if ti were loaded.

"You were trying to make me jealous??!?!???!!?!?!??!?!???" Fred questioned

"Yes, I was trying to pay you back for playing gold with those floozies!" Daphne stated

"That was different!" Fred stated

"How was that any different???!??" Daphne questioned

"It just was!!" Fred responds as he tries to pry the door open with the model harpoon gun

"Alright, you know what, Fred?? If i'm gonna die, I don't want to die dating a JERK!" Daphne stated

"Yeah? Well, if i'm gonna die, I don't wanna die dating a sneaky..." Fred starts, banging the end of the model harpoon gun on the window. "...manipulative...." he added, doign it again. "....game-playing...."

The window then broke and the water began flowing out.

"See that???!?? I saved us!" Fred stated

"Oh, that's lovely, but we're STILL broken up!" Daphne responds, going over to the window

"Good!" Fred responds, mounting the harpoon gun model back up where he grabbed it from as Daphne reached through the hole in the window

Back at the Country Club's staff quarters, Scooby was laying down as Shaggy was reading a Batman comic. That's when Fred, Velma, and Daphne came into the room, Velma being a bit covered in black spots from how old the closet was, but nothing a little water couldn't clean off and Fred and Daphne were SOAKED.

"Like, what happened to you guys???" Shaggy asks

"What happened? Fred and I broke up." Daphne answers. "That's what happened."

"Yeah. Best decision she ever made, too." Fred comments

Shaggy jumped down and says, "That's a real bummer and all, but I kind of meant, why are you two wet and why is Velma dirty?"

"Oh. That." Daphne comments. 'Well, let's just say Fred and I almost got in over our heads and someone tried to trap Velma. But, we figured out that one of Wanda Grubwrot's descendants might be trying to reconstruct the magic staff."

Daphne walked over and began flipping through the phone book, Velma looking over the list.

"Grubek......Grubel.....Guzak....." Velma lists

"Hm. No 'Grubwort'." Daphne adds

Shaggy noticed the phone book's reflection in the mirror.

"Well, would you look at that. What a crazy coincidence." Shaggy comments, walking over and grabbing the phone book

"What is it, Shaggs?" Fred asks

"Oh, um, remember that creepy old general store we stopped at on the way in? It was called 'Trowburg's'." Shaggy comments, holding the book up to the mirror. "Well, if you spell 'Trowburg' backwards, you get 'Grubwort'. What are the odds, huh?"

"Raggy's right!" Scooby comments

"Wait, where's Ruby?" Velma asks

"She's...been gone for a while ever since she took the moonstone I was gonna give to her father in a couple weeks to hang u-p on a wall in their home." Shaggy comments. "Haven't been able to find her in this place ever since. I just hope she's okay.....
