Anonymously requested, hope you enjoy!

(This is also what I envision as you looking like a genie. Feel free to change it!)

"I can't give you that" I floated above the young man before me. His eyes greedy and hungry. Such a self centred being, I found it hard to stay near him. But... I was this monsters slave till he used his three wishes.

Thank goodness this was his last wish.

"Why not? You said I could wish for anything!" He raised his hands up in exasperation, I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. "I said anything except raising the dead or to kill someone, making someone love you and wishing for more wishes" the young man had been wishing for the death of his older brother. Since, he was second in line, his brother was heir for the massive company of trade in spices. "Look here Genie, you don't get a decision. Got it? I freed you from the lamp! Hell, I could wish for you to get back into it forever!" I stilled, what the hell was I supposed to do? It was against the laws of the Genies to wish death upon somebody. "I physically can not kill him, I don't have that magic available to me" I grimaced, awaiting the next outburst. I very well could have sentenced myself to my own doom. Good grief, why did I have to be summoned by a mere boy!?

"Fine. Then, I'll just wish you into your lamp forever, never to be summoned again!" Oh my, I wanted to cry. The thought of having to stay in such a tiny lamp for the rest of my long life was... horrific. The boy tapped his foot, "I-" he raised a brow waiting for me to speak. "Wish-" good grief if I killed his brother, I'd become a fugitive in the Grand Council. What was I supposed to do!? Be loyal, or allow myself the chance to be free once more?

"For you to be-" "Fine." The boy grinned, his face an ugly twist of knowing he had won. "Excellent! You know what I want, Genie, make it happen."

"Your wish, is my command" with those words, the empire he had wanted sprouted around him, and I was sucked back into my tiny cramped lamp. It shot off to the sky, probably never to be found for another hundred years, and for me to become increasingly cramped as ever. What had I done? It would be alerted to the Grand Council that I was now a fugitive, every Genie would be alerted about it and if they saw me, to turn me in immediately for questioning and punishment. Oh, I wish I could make my own wishes.

Because I would wish to be human.

58 years later...

The lamp I was squashed into, was lifted from its sandy heap in the ground. A voice echoed outside it. "I don't know Raja, maybe one of the servants left it here by accident?" The familiar sensation of the lamp being rubbed, stirred life back into my sore body. But... if I met another Genie....

Whoever this person was, the scrubbed at the lamp and summoned me without their knowing. The crackles and shooting lights sprouted from the lamp, and my new Master, dropped it. The usual occurrence. As I exited the lamp in a ring of smoke, I didn't do the huge "I'm a Genie! Be scared!" Act, I was dreading this. I formed before the woman, looking down at her, holding a drink in my right hand. "I, am Y/N, you have summoned me by rubbing the lamp. I, of course, am a Genie. I shall grant you three wishes, but the only rules are hat you may not wish death upon somebody, or wish for me to raise somebody from the dead. I can not allow you to wish for somebody to love you, and you can not wish for more wishes. Understood? Now what is your name, child?" The woman before me had Raven black hair, and judging from the palace she stayed in and the clothes she wore, it was safe to assume this girl was a princess.

She also had a tiger.

The tiger, rubbed its body against the Princesses leg, as if giving her confidence. The Princess, regained her composure and spoke in a Sure voice. "I am Jasmine, daughter of the Sultan" I nodded, so my suspicions had been correct. And daughter of the sultan, no less.

"What is your first wish, Jasmine?" I was here for a nice chit chat. If any other Genie even sensed my presence, they had the right to leave their masters and rush to arrest me.
Jasmine, began to pace back and forth before me. I sat down on the mountain of cushions behind me. "I- what could I possibly wish for?" Jasmine stopped, looking to me for ideas. "Wealth, freedom, to meet a handsome prince?" I looked to the woman, with a dead serious voice. "Wish for what your heart desires, Jasmine. And then remember that you have two more wishes after that." The Princess collapsed into the pillows beside me. "I have responsibilities, I could never wish for freedom. I couldn't leave my fathers legacy to some fool like... Jafar..." she shivered, as if the thought ran a cold hand down her spine in angst. Her tiger, Raja, climbed up beside her. She merely petted his head as she spoke. "Do I have to wish now?" I grimaced, another curse of the lamp. No lies. "No, you have time..." I looked out at the stars,it had been so long since I had seen such a beautiful night sky. I could feel the Princesses gaze. "Why are you still taking orders from people who rub the lamp? If your all-powerful, could you not just do as you wish and make your own empire?" Jasmine was clever, already her mind was turning on my own situation. I lifted my hands to show her the golden bracelets around my wrists. "I am tied to the lamp by Genie Law, only if my Master wishes for me to be free, May these cuffs fall off, and I can go and do what I wish." I tried to keep the longing out of my voice... but it was a wish nobody would ever wish for. One I did not deserve, after the crime I had committed.

Jasmine frowned, "Well, I shall make a deal with you Y/N" Jasmine rose, her tiger watching her with clever yellow eyes. "I will free you on my third wish, and until then, you are free to roam my kingdom. Is that a deal?" The grin on my face probably told her enough. "Deal." I said, rising from my seat to shake her hand.

Three hours later, and Jasmine was fast asleep. I was standing at the balcony, watching the stars, counting and naming constellations. It was peaceful... until I felt the need to retreat to my lamp. Someone was watching me.

I looked down, and just as I had expected someone was indeed watching me. A man in rags for clothes, a monkey on his shoulder, a magic carpet..?

And a Genie.

Oh no.

I stared right down at the Genie, his eyes were wide and his mouth agape. The young ma asked him something, and the Genie muttered something back. Then, in a blink of an eye the Genie was rushing towards me and the mans was on the carpet, following suit.

There was no point in running. Not now, I couldn't go that far away from the lamp anyways. And to tell Jasmine that a murderer was in her room? I'd rather be arrested.

The Genie stood on the balcony, the man on his carpet, leaning against it. "Y/N, the criminal" Genie was frowning in distaste at me, the man, seemed slightly confused. "Genie, what do you mean she's a criminal?" The young man looked to Genie, Genie, didn't even waver his gaze upon me. "There are Rules we have to follow as a Genie Aladdin, one of them is we can not kill somebody for someone else's wish. And she did just that" Aladdin, visibly paled and turned towards me, he glanced behind me to see Jasmine asleep in the bed. "What are you doing here then?" He asked, a brow raised skeptically and anger brewing behind his eyes. "Jasmine found my lamp, and summoned me." I answered, knowing he was thinking something entirely different.

Genie scoffed, and looked to the stars where I had been looking. "The Scales? Really Y/N? You were wishing for fairness?" I didn't even try to understand how he had figured that out, instead I frowned and nodded solemnly. "I... truly was selfish when I granted his wish." The Genie turned to me, and Aladdin's expression softened ever so slightly. "He gave me a choice. To either kill his brother so he could take over the spice trade, or he would wish for me to be locked away into my lamp forever." Genies face contorted into anguish and understanding. "Oh." Was all he said, looking down at his bare wrists and to Aladdin. The pair turned to me with a new look in their eyes, I didn't particularly want their sympathy, I didn't deserve it. I killed an innocent. That was unforgivable.

They both seemed unsure of what to do next. I didn't know what exactly to say, but I had an idea. Maybe I just wanted a bit longer out of my lamp, just to remember what the sky looked like before I was handed over to the Council. "Can I... request something before you turn me in?" I looked between the pair and they nodded immediately. "Of course!" Aladdin hushed, glancing back to Jasmin sleeping. "Allow me to complete Jasmines wishes. Then, when the third wish is complete, you take me directly to the council" now, I was looking at Genie. His eyes creased in an emotion I couldn't quite place. After a while, he spoke and said "Deal."

With those words, I turned and solemnly floated towards the pillows set in the room. I softly lay across them, staring at the wall. Genie and Àladdin watched me, I could feel their lingering gazes trace my cobalt blue form. Aladdin's soft steps came behind me as he lay down beside his wife. Genie, he left.

Along with the rest of my hope.

Genie and I, had grown closer over the past few days. He seemed to be a frequent visitor to the palace. It was nice to have someone understand you. He understood my position. In... shackles. We spent quite a lot of time together. It was comfortable, long silences of friendship. Conversations about wishes we had granted, our lives. So on, so forth.

"He really wished to be a twig!?" I was wheezing with laughter as I collapsed back into my seat. "He said 'At least it will be exciting'!!" I gagged and Genie echoed my hollers. "He specifically wanted to be able to be able to 'snap' and not have someone like his wife give put to him for it!!"Oh that was it! I could barely breathe through my tears of joy. How could this constitute for a wish!? When the laughs died down to giggles, and then the occasional sigh, Genie paused and seemed to study me under a new light. "What is it?" I asked with a smirk on my lips. He hide a small smile, plastered on his blue mug. "You have a fantastic laugh" I waved a dismissive hand. "No, I sound like a dying crow!" I chuckled and he shook his head furiously. Holding out his hand, I placed mine in his. He gently guided me back onto the seats, his eyes tracing my every move. "You truly do, it sounds like 'HEE HEE" Neon signs flashed around me, all colours flashing 'HEE HEE'.

Oh, I dissolved in his embrace of laughter and safety.

Then, Jasmine called. "Y/N! I have thought of my first wish!!!" Slowly, just rose from my place beneath Genies arm. "I'll see you later, Genie" I grinned and retreated to where Jasmine had called. His gaze, never wavered as he watched me leave.

A week or so later and I was relaxing in the garden with the Princess and Aladdin. Lounging across white marble benches as the pair of them spoke in hushed whispers. "Im not sure what to wish for next" Jasmine chuckled and Aladdin grinned. "Wish for something you didn't know that you wanted. That's usually the best type" he looked at her with such fascination and... awe. How nice it would be to be gazed at like that.

The Princess rests her chin in her palm. Studying the grace with ferocity as she thought. She had wished for a female tiger for Raja first. The cats, lay in another part of the garden, purring. What I had gathered from Jasmine so far was that... She was compassionate. So much so, it became infectious.

"I want a family" Jasmine whispered still staring at the swaying grass. Aladdin visibly swallowed, but smiled. "Really?" She broke out in a smile, "Y/N, For my second wish, I wish for a family". Silently, I rose from my seat and clasped my hands before me. "Your wish, is my command." A small white light appeared before Jasmine's stomach. With silly grins, they ran to the palace towards their rooms. To do what, I supposed that was self explanatory.

Sitting back down on the bench, a figure appeared beside me. "Genie." I said, with a small voice. He barely glanced in my direction. A few moments of silence passed, and then he mumbled, afraid of someone overhearing. "Why did you do it?" He kept his gaze forward, and I tried my best to do it to. Where had this come from!? We had been perfectly fine earlier! Happy... maybe even a bit flirty. But now?

"I already told you why."

"You told me how you did it. Not why." His question stilled me, I didn't expect him to read me so... easy. "Why would you care..?" Genie slammed his hand down on the bench, a spiders web cracked through the marble. I flinched, and rose from my seat. "You could have said no Y/N! You could of had a chance of freedom, but instead I'm forced to hand you over to the Council! How is that fair? How!?" I stare at him wih wide eyes. "You shouldn't have broken the bench-" He cut me off. " And you shouldn't have broken the rules!"

I merely gazed at him, his broken form sitting on a broken piece of furniture. "You, shouldn't have lost your temper." With that, I floated towards the foyer, and into my lamp. Into the tiny, cramped, lamp.

At least it was peaceful here. At least, it safe.

I never emerged from the lamp. I think it was around five weeks before Jasmine called for me again. At this stage, I wanted to be done. I wanted to just go to the Council and hand myself in. But I promised. And Genies, can can not break promises. Slowly, I formed from the lamp. "Yes, Princess?" I said tired ly and opened my eyes, to see a very different scene. Flowers, strewn across every surface and cakes. Jasmine, had a small bump on her stomach. A life, forming inside. "What is thi-" I was cut off with a deep, familiar voice. "A... goodbye party, and a... uh- please-forgive-me-before-you-leave party?" Genie held a bouquet of blue roses in his hands, pushing them towards me. He brought one hand to his neck, rubbing it in silence and anxiousness. "I am truly sorry Y/N, I just, didn't want to say goodbye... and instead I limited my time even further with you. I would understand completely if you didn't want to forgive me and I would completely agree with yo-" I pressed my index finger to his lips. "Thank you, Genie." I gave him and warm smile, and embraced him. He held mea tightly to him, my face rested on his chest. Fighting back tears, I wrapped my arms around his neck. And breathed.

Two hours of enjoying food and cakes, and Jasmine called for silence within the small group. "Y/N, I just want to tell you, that you have made a massive impact in our lives with the short time you have been here. You have given us a gift, I could once only dream of. And yet here we are. Mulling around tables eating and dining, laughing like a family-" Aladdin wrapped an arm around Jasmine's waist. Holding her close. "And I truly believe,  we have become a from family,  you have gifted us all with companionship.  Got rod of our loneliness and granted us something more, love. From the samples of us-" She gestured to the tigers lying on the ground, snuggled together with three cubs at their paws.  "To the biggest of us." She raised her glass to Genie by my side, a small grin on his face as he too,  snuck an arm around my waist.  "I think it's safe to say we want to return the favour. Please,Y/N, stay with us and be happy, be apart of our family. So, by the power invested in me. For my third wish, I wish for you to be free!"

Genie choked on his own breath, staring at Jasmine in bewilderment. I had completely forgotten about the promise she had made, in fact, I had never believed it in the first place. But as a warm rush ran through my body and the bracelets around my wrist shook, and fell to the ground with a clang. I finally knew, I was truly free.

Joy, like I have never known before washed upon me. "Thank you..." I whispered through the tears. I felt string hands grip my waist, and twirl me around in the air. I look down to see Genies glassy eyes gleaming up at me with z could scarcely think,  as I choked on sobs.

"My one wish came Genie."

"One wish,  worth three."
