Hope you guys all had a good holiday! I love how excited you guys get for new chapters. I swear I grin like an idiot everytime I read your comments or when people post on my page telling me to upload. I'd like to thank those of you that pushed me to get this chapter out quickly, there were many of you so this goes out to all of you :)

It's funny, I had someone ask me how I find the time to read all the books in my library. I told them reading and writing go hand in hand. I find it hard to do one and not the other so I balance my time equally. They also asked if I only read werewolf books and while pretty much all of the books in my library are werewolf books, no. I will read any romance story. I happen to read more wereowlf stories, though, to draw inspiration. I'll read something and be like wow, I really like how this author did this or that.

Sorry, I tend to mention things that you probably don't care. So this is more of a filler chapter because it was brought to my attention that I never really showed Tinsley or Daniel in their wolf form.

You'll have to imagine in the details but pretty much, their wolf forms >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

(Sorry for any spelling/grammar mistakes)

                                                            Chapter 10

Daniel's POV:

I walked away from them, fuming. I didn't miss the sly glance she gave me and the smug smile she plastered on her face when she accepted Trent's invitation to go on a date. A date. I know that shouldn't bother me, but try telling my wolf that! He was growling at me to turn around and go mark our beautiful blond haired mate. He wanted Trent and every other male that so much as dared to look at Tinsley to know she was already taken.

As I walked past my locker Lexi glanced at me and huffed. She was pretty pissed. I couldn't sleep with her yesterday. I tried to get into it, I really did. It just didn't feel right and I couldn't get it up with her. Funny thing is, she thought it was her. She thought she wasn't pretty enough anymore. She's pissed at me though because I seem to be the only one who doesn't find her pretty and that doesn't sit well with her. I swear, if this is how it's going to be with every girl I try and get with, I'm never getting laid!

"Going to do anything about that?" Paul asked, nodding to where Tinsley and Trent were talking.

"What ever do you mean?" I asked dryly, grimacing at him.

"I'm just saying, it's a little weird you're letting your mate parade around with your best friend." I raised my eyebrow.

"It's a free country, she can date whoever she wants." As long as she comes back to me at the end of the day. Whoa! Where the hell did that come from?

"It's only a matter of time, West. Just don't wait too long. Fay and I sort of have a bet on how long it will take for you two to get together. She bet on the long side, on how stubborn you are, while I bet on the shorter side, seeing as how you can't fight the bond."

"You bet on my mate life?"

"You bet your ass I did." He grinned. He was always looking for the next bet so this really shouldn't have surprised me.

"Hilarious." I muttered sarcastically before walking away.

Stupid mate, dating people just to spite me. I already knew she wasn't going to date him seriously, I had seen the look in her eyes before she said yes. She was trying to think of a way to turn him down but when she had seen me looking at her, the idea formulated in her head. She was good, I'll admit that. Using my best friend to make me jealous. She hasn't learned though that I don't get jealous easily. She was going to have to do way better.

Tinsley's POV:

"Want to come and hang out at my place?" Kayla asked as we walked out of school at the end of the day.

"Actually, I think I'm going to go for a quick run. I'm helping Jen at the dance studio today so maybe tomorrow."

"I don't know how you deal with eight year olds who can't dance for shit. I have an eight year old cousin and I can't babysit her without wanting to throttle her. I swear, she thinks she's smarter then me. And her attitude!" She threw her hands up in the air and shook her head. I laughed.

"Well lucky for those eight year olds, I have more patience then you." She glared at me before walking off to her car.

I walked the ten minutes back to my apartment and quickly stowed my stuff in my room. I grabbed my dance bag and an extra pair of clothes to change into. According to the note on the counter, Aaron was working late tonight so no one would be here. Locking the door behind me, I tripped lightly down the stairs and eagerly let my wolf lead me to the woods. I loved the thrill of running freely in the woods, the way the wind whooshed past my fur. The way I felt like I was invincible and my past was forgotten.

Making sure I was far enough into the woods to not be stumbled upon, I quickly undressed and shifted. I pranced around in a circle  in my wolf form for a second as I got used to my now heightened senses. Everything looked greener and smelled so much more crisp. With a small yelp of joy, I darted forward. Weaving my way under and over logs and low hanging branches I felt my wolf start to break free. She broke through and howled in excitement. I had just gone running yesterday but that wasn't enough for her. She was pretty much only happy when we were running or around our mate. Seeing as how the ladder wasn't happening, I decided to indulge her and make it a point to run more. Maybe then she wouldn't bug me so much about my mate.

I stopped at a small lake that was buried deep in the woods next to a clearing. This was my new favorite place to come. The way the sun shined through the trees, casting different shadows, made the clearing seem warm and magical. I took a long drink from the lake and was about to turn away when I caught m reflection. I admired my wolf form for a minute, cocking my head to the side slightly. I was pure black with white paws and a white tipped tail. I'm sure of I were smaller, I could easily be mistaken as a dog. The only thing that was the same about my wolf and human form were my blue eyes. My eyes were always a little brighter in my wolf form  because they were enhanced, but nonetheless, they were the same deep blue.

After a second, I dashed away from the lake and ran straight on into the clearing. Here, the grass was probably about the height of my thigh. I crashed through the grass, playfully chasing butterflies. Sometimes my wolf can be a bit, uhh...childish. I probably looked like some stupid, oversized dog as I jumped around, yipping playfully. I could care less though. In that moment, with the sun shining down and warmth surrounding me, I felt like  I was just any other wolf without a heavy past.

Daniel's POV:

I decided to take a run after working out for a while, needing to let some pent up energy out. I'd spent a good two hours at the gym in the pack house, pounding on the punching bag, envisioning Trent's face with each punch. Trent was my best friend of course, but it still didn't please me that he was so clearly in lust with my mate. To make matters worse, Paul sat there the whole time with a knowing smirk plastered on his face. It took everything in me not to punch it off of him. Finally I decided to just let my wolf out and run.

As soon as I shifted, my wolf took over and took off. He knew exactly where he was going as he headed deeper into the woods. Soon, I heard unmistakable yips of happiness. I slowed down and cautiously approached the clearing up ahead. Making sure I was still hidden, I watched as a black wolf with white splashes pranced through the tall grass. Every once in a while, she would disappear and the suddenly leap out of the grass. Always landing gracefully on her feet, she would continue to romp through the tall meadow grass. It was easy to see she was female, her size gave it away. Males were usually always bigger than females because their wolves were stronger and more dominant. I felt my wolf grin inside me as we continued to watch the little black wolf let out a bark in glee. Unconsciously, I stepped forward. Right onto a dead leaf that just had to crinkle at my weight. She immediately stopped and looked my way, finding me easily. We stood still and assessed each other. She took a step back and lowered my head to the ground, showing her I wasn't a threat. She took another long look at me and something in her blue eyes seemed so familiar. After a second she shrugged and turned away, going back to her somewhat childish running.

I walked forward and crouched down, my tail straight in the air. Before she had a chance to do anything, I jumped forward and landed on her. It went back and forth like that as the sun slowly descended. I guess you could say we were playing a game of wolf tag, playfully jumping on each other. After one big leap, I landed on her and we both lay still, breathing hard. I looked down and once again was met with her blue eyes. The more I stared into them, the more excited my wolf got. After a second, realization flashed through my mind about who this was. I saw her realize who I was because her face puckered, her snout scrunching up as if pouting. Before she could react and push me off, I leaned down and nuzzled her neck. She was stiff for a second before relaxing. I felt her wet nose brush against my fur and let out a low, humming growl. It sounded almost like a purr. She let out a throaty chuckled and pushed me off. I slid to her side and pressed my nose to her neck again. She jumped and stood quickly, looking at me curiously. She leaned closer to me and I watched as she looked in my eyes, like she was looking for something particular. My wolf reacted to the intense gaze and I couldn't stop him as he opened his mouth and licked her face. She stared, shocked. That made two of us.

After a minute she let out another wolfy laugh and shook her head softly. Looking up, her eyes widened and she back up a second. I stood quickly, not wanting her to go. She shrugged apologetically and looked behind her, telling me she had to go. I walked forward and lent against her, nuzzling her once more. She responded almost instantly, rubbing her head against my neck. She took a step back and was about to turn around when a devilish glint filled her eyes. She took a step forward and stretched her neck so that we were cheek to cheek. Her tongue flicked out and licked me right below my ear. She danced back and laughed at my shock expression. I could feel my eyes fill with lust as she turned and ran back to the edge of the clearing. Just before she was covered by the trees, she paused and faced me again. I couldn't be sure but it looked like she winked. I felt a wolfish grin stretch across my face when she darted back into the trees.

I ran back to the pack house, feeling lighter and happier. My mood had instantly lifted and I felt calmer. Your mate can do that you. My wolf said of the little black wolf with the white paws and snow tipped tail.

Unknown POV:

The door swung open with a bang and my beta walked in excitedly. I glowered at him for not knocking but he shrugged it off.

"What?" I growled. He smiled and sat down, getting comfortable. He waited a minute before speaking.

"We have a lead about where she is." A grin stretched across my face slowly as I leaned back into my chair.

            "Good."
