I'm sorry for my dumbass writing this request so late 😔 (Art isn't mine, I think it belongs to Starry on Tumblr if I'm correct.)

Will include:

- Swearing.

- Possibly some mentioning of blood, gore, etc.

- Walden calling himself a grandpa

-3rd Person POV-

Your peaceful slumber was interrupted by the sound of your alarm clock beeping, alerting you to wake up, and you groaned in exhaustion. Even though you didn't want to get out of bed, you had to. You had recently sent a job application to a building called the Rainbow Factory, and the role was being the assistant for a puppet-man named Walden Darling. Unfortunately for you, you were unaware of how gruesome and horrifying the job was. Your shift started at around 7:00 in the morning, so you set your alarm for 5:40 AM. You eventually got out of bed once you managed to motivate yourself, turning the alarm off and beginning to change into work-related attire, not wanting to look too bad, nor too dazzling. You had just decided on a simple (insert your choice of formal clothing or something) to wear, and you felt like you were just about ready to go to your new job. You hurriedly rushed to the door, putting your shoes on and snatching the keys from their designated spot, and you exit your house. You didn't want to make a bad impression and be late.

When you finally arrived, you exhaled in exhaustion, tired from rushing around yet relieved you weren't late. You took a deep breath, trying to calm down your heartbeat as you walked up to the main desk, met by a lady who seemed kind. "Ah, uhm, hi. I'm here for the interview for the assistant role for Mr. Darling?" You asked, and the lady gave a nod, giving you instructions as where to go before sending you off. You swallowed hard, nervousness bubbling up inside you as you made your way to the man's office. When you got there, you took a deep breath before knocking on the door, fidgeting with your hands before you heard a deep voice. "Come in." He said, the exhaustion in his tone evident as you opened the door and entered, closing the door behind you. "Sit down." He ordered, gesturing to the chair in front of his desk as you gave a nod, complying to his order as you heard him talk, but you couldn't focus on his voice due to your mind panicking on whether you'd be able to get the job or not. "Earth to Y/N. Do you want this job or not? If so, then pay fucking attention. If not, kindly get the fuck out of my office and go do something else with your shitty life." Walden snarled, snapping you out of your thoughts as he shot a sharp glare at you before he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, calming himself down. "Listen, if you want this job, you're gonna need to be dedicated because you don't even know what the fuck goes on in this place." He said, his tone firm and serious as he glared at you, his eyes serious and unwavering.  He was unsure of you, maybe you weren't a good fit for this job. Something in his mind said not to underestimate you, and he supposed he'd give you a chance. He sighed, dragging a hand over his face, muttering a simple "fucking idiot."

[TIMESKIP BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT TO WRITE THAT ALL OUT.  You somehow got accepted? Yippie!!1! 👍]

Walden could hear the soft sigh of relief coming from you once he told you you were hired. "Alright, you may leave. Your first day starts tomorrow," he explained, watching as you nodded and walked out. He scoffed to himself once you left, rolling his eyes. 𝙇𝙚𝙩'𝙨 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙯𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙪𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙟𝙤𝙗 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙮 𝙞𝙨, he thought to himself, a soft chuckle escaping him at the thought of your terrified face once you discovered the truth about this job. He shook his head softly, leaning back in his chair as he stretched, yawning. He sat up straight, looking miserable as he realized he had to go back to finishing the damn paperwork. He sighed, grabbing his pen and beginning to work on his papers, signing what he needed to. Was it a tedious process? Yes, it was. He didn't notice the time passing, but he noticed the pain in his back. 𝙅𝙚𝙚𝙯, 𝙄 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙖𝙢 𝙖 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙥𝙖, he thought to himself, surprised that he was actually agreeing to what Sally said for once. He was about to strangle her for calling out his age, but she was kind of right. He slowly began to doze off, before his head just hit the desk and he passed out from there. Some soft snores and purrs escaped him as he peacefully slept, a comforting silence filling his office.

[THE NEXT DAY.]

The sound of your annoying alarm woke you up, a reminder of the job you had asked for. You sighed, sitting up. Your tired body was screaming at you to lay back down, but you knew you'd be in trouble if you literally missed the first day of your damn job. You let out a groan of exhaustion, staying in bed for a few minutes before forcing yourself out of bed. You felt a bit dizzy as you got out, but the feeling went away eventually. A yawn escaped you as you stretched, and you realized you had no fucking work clothes. Wow, great going. You rolled your eyes to yourself, muttering curses and swears to yourself as you dug through the laundry basket for the clothing you wore yesterday. You found it, and you sighed heavily. Now you had to wash it. You rushed to the laundry room, hastily finishing the process of stuffing the dirty clothes in there and adding some detergent. You walked out of the room, beginning to make yourself some breakfast in the meantime. After awhile, a beep went off and your head perked up. You had finished your breakfast a few minutes ago.  You were happy until you realized you had to dry it as well, and you were debating whether or not to go to work looking like a meless rat. You just shoved the clothes into the dryer, putting sheets in there and pressing buttons.

(little timeskip)

You made it to the factory, parking your car before getting out. You just hoped Walden wouldn't be mad at you for being a *few* (20 minutes) minutes late. Who were you kidding? He'd probably scold you or something. You snapped out of your thoughts, rushing into the factory and into Walden's office. The man's head snapped up at the sound of the door slammed open, a scowl on his face. "Have you ever learned something called 'knocking?' I'm sure it would help you a *lot,*" He sneered, rolling his eyes and shaking his head. Fucking idiot. "Also, you're late. I would mind if you weren't late all the time, you know?" He stated, his voice more serious than playful or lighthearted. He let out a hum of satisfaction as you nodded, and he yawned softly. "Now, your first task of the day is simple: please go get me a cup of coffee. No creamer or anything." He explained, looking at you expectantly. Hey, at least the man had a sense of politeness, no? Back to the point, your eyes narrowed in concern at his taste in coffee, but you didn't say anything. You just gave a simple nod, heading out of his office and going to go fetch his coffee. Jeez, what the hell did you sign up for?

Happy New Years you guys, hope you enjoyed it!!! I finally had motivation to finish so here is another finished request. Anyways, see ya.
