After the events of the evening, Adam decided to have a bath with Betelgeuse, letting him lean back into him like he was an armchair, giving him lots of hugs and kisses, letting him know everything will be okay. After the bath, they decided to skip dinner and have an early night, Adam spooning Betelgeuse, who held Mousey tightly.

After his alarm went off, Adam turned to the bedside table to shut it off and studied his sleeping boyfriend.
"Morning Zeizel." He whispered, running his fingers through his hair.
"Morning Hamud." Betelgeuse mumbled, rolling over so he was snuggled into Adam's arms, burying his head into his chest.
"How are you feeling?" Adam asked, wrapping one arm around his back and his other around his neck so he could play with his hair.
"I'm alright. Just tired." Betelgeuse muttered before snuffling contentedly. "Can I have kisses?" He pouted his lip which Adam flicked down before kissing him gently. "Love you." Betelgeuse smiled and Adam repeated him.
"Should we get breakfast then set off to the BEACH?" Adam asked.
"Yay. Beach day with my boyfriend!" Betelgeuse cheered and pulled the covers off him before he snuggled back under them.
"You okay?" Adam asked.
"It's cold out there!" He complained.
"Want to wear my sweater?" Adam asked, grabbing a plain black one from his side of the drawers and giving it to Betelgeuse who instantly put it on.
"You look so handsome in that." Adam smiled and Betelgeuse blushed.
"Mine now. You're not getting this back." Betelgeuse smiled and got up, pulling the neck over his nose so he could smell Adam's scent on it. "You're the best!" He smiled gratefully.
"I know, but thank you!" Adam chuckled.
"Very modest of you, Maitland(!)" Betelgeuse said sarcastically before picking out an outfit to wear. He went with some grey jeans and his favourite black and white striped hoodie over Adam's jumper. He then went to help Adam make breakfast. Whilst he was stirring the pancake batter, Adam came up behind him and wrapped his arms around his waist, smiling on his shoulder. Betelgeuse smiled and rested his hand on Adam's arm. He enjoyed the simple moments like this for how peaceful and caring they were. "Ani ohev otcha." He smiled and felt Adam rest his head on his shoulder so he rested his head on his. After a few moments of cuddles, they sat at the table to eat their breakfast but Betelgeuse curled into Adam, drifting off to sleep.
"I hope you're comfy, mister." Adam giggled, trying to rearrange his head.
"Mhmh." Betelgeuse mumbled.
"Hey you two." Barbara sat down with them.
"Morning." Adam smiled, holding Betelgeuse. "Having a bit of a sleepy start." He explained with a chuckle.
"Are you gonna get up mate?" Barbara shook his shoulder.
"Mm." Betelgeuse grumbled tiredly before sitting up properly and finishing his food.
"Come on then. If we set off now, the tide will just be out when we get there." Adam checked his phone for the tide times.
"Yes sir." Betelgeuse scoffed and washed the plates up. After the two hour drive that was spent singing along to Queen, AC/DC, and Bryan Adams, the couple arrived at their date location and got parked. They decided to take the scenic route and scramble down some rocks and then climb over the dunes at the top. "Woah! You can see the whole world from here!" Betelgeuse spoke, captivated under the spell of the enchanting view with clear turquoise sea, white fluffy sand with the beautiful sound of seagulls calling overhead. They decided to sit there for a while to take it all in, just the two of them together in the moment with Adam resting his hand on top of Betelgeuse's. Adam wrapped his arm around Betelgeuse's back, rubbing his arm.
"Rather than sitting on the beach, should we explore a bit?" Adam suggested.
"Yeah. I'll do anything as long as I'm with you." Betelgeuse smiled, leaning in to him.
"Freaks." A voice mumbled from behind and the two gentlemen turned around to see a heterosexual teenage couple holding hands.
"Excuse me?" Adam said, raising his voice.
"Babe, just leave it okay." The youngest tried to calm his boyfriend down.
"No. Why can't people just let us be happy together?" Adam asked.
"They're just uneducated okay. They don't understand what we had to go through for rights." Betelgeuse explained.
"Oh god. Here comes the "so you see" speech." The female in the couple scoffed rudely.
"Erm, are you involved in our conversation?" Betelgeuse asked.
"No. You look like a-"
"Bloated Zebra? I've heard them all, take your pick."
"Alright chubs. It was only a joke." Her boyfriend pulled her away.
"Some people." Adam sighed.
"Just forget about it."
"I don't get it. How are you so calm about it?" Adam asked.
"I'm just used to hearing insults and slurs. Nothing really offends me anymore." Betelgeuse explained with a saddened expression so Adam pulled him into a hug.
"Come on. Let's just get back to our date." Adam chuckled and stood up, followed by Betelgeuse as they went over the rest of the dunes. They came to a steep sand dune down to the beach and looked at each other before pulling the bodyboards off their backs and surfing them down the dunes like two little children. Betelgeuse stayed on but Adam ended up face planting the sand at the bottom.
"That was fun." Betelgeuse cheered, laughing at Adam.
"It's not funny. I'm covered in sand now." Adam complained.
"Oh dear. The little baby came to a sandy beach but some sand touched him." Betelgeuse said in a baby voice.
"I don't like sand. Dirty." Adam brushed himself off but not all would come off.
"Relax. You can wash it off in the sea when we go body boarding later." Betelgeuse explained. Rather than sitting in the midst of the crowd, they decided to walk to the other side of the beach. You could only get to this part of the beach at low tide so not many people sat there. After choosing an empty and quiet place to sit between two large cliffs, they set their chairs and picnic down and unclipped the blanket that was strapped to the bottom of Betelgeuse's hiking bag and laid down on it. Betelgeuse was laying on his back, using Adam as a pillow who was running his fingers through his hair.
"This is nice. Do you think people know about it?" Adam asked.
"Quiet Babe, I'm tryna sleep." The youngest uttered. Betelgeuse woke up before Adam and decided to climb the rocks. He started going up the gradual incline for 4ft and pulling himself onto a flat area another 3ft to look at the view. He soon got bored and slid off that bit and went over to the other side of it and climbed a vertical bit about another 5ft high, using the groves to pull himself up it. He got his leg onto a platform and pulled himself onto it, deciding to sit there and relax. When Adam woke up, he was confused when he noticed his boyfriend was missing.
"Beej? Where'd you go?" He shouted.
"Up here." Betelgeuse called and Adam looked to the cliffs.
"What are you doing up there?" Adam asked him.
"Having some me time. It's nice up here." Betelgeuse explained, gesturing for Adam to join him.
"How did you even get up there? Especially without your shoes." Adam stood at the bottom of the cliff, looking up at his boyfriend.
"Just climbed, I guess. I've gone up worse with a much heavier load."
"Like what?"
"That bag I brought? It's been up many scrambles and cliffs like Gordale Scar."
"Where's that?"
"It's in England."
"Please get down now you're scaring me Babe." Adam pleaded.
"Okay." Betelgeuse climbed back down to Adam who hugged him tight.
"You okay?" He asked.
"Yeah. Your poor sense of danger concerns me." Adam explained.
"I was being safe. Don't worry."
"I know you were being safe. It's still dangerous."
"Okay. Next time I'll do it with you." Betelgeuse chuckled. "Can I go on that part half way up though." He pointed to the first platform.
"Okay. You can go on that one and show me how you go up in the first place. I wanna do that." Adam giggled and followed Betelgeuse exactly how he did it.
They both couldn't fit on the platform so they took turns climbing it to look at the view.
"Nice, huh?"
"Yeah. It's beautiful. Should we climb up some more?" Adam suggested and watched Betelgeuse's face light up. After climbing up all of the climbable rock faces and doing photoshoots on them, on that area of the beach, they decide to go into some caves to see what they could see. Some involved walking through them sideways or even wading through knee deep water. They spotted lots of carvings such as names, a mermaid and even a lady with a horse and some ancient text that they couldn't make out. After eating their lunch and bodyboarding for two hours, the tide was almost fully in so they decided to sit at the same spot before they went on the beach to watch the sunset. Betelgeuse voluntarily did the two hour drive back home whilst Adam slept leaned up against the window. Once they got back to the house, Betelgeuse didn't want to wake him but had no choice so he begrudgingly shook him gently. They went upstairs to their apartment and sat in the living area, just cuddling up together whilst the girls watched a romcom.
"Should we watch a horror film?" Adam asked after the film had finished.
"Sure." Betelgeuse smiled.
"Ooh, someone's bringing out the big guns." Lydia teased.
"Shut up. How about the Conjuring, but the second one as it's the scariest one." Betelgeuse suggested and everyone agreed. On the contrary to what everyone thought would happen, Betelgeuse didn't even flinch or react to anything happening on the screen. They never believed him until now that it was never the horror events in the film, but rather the blood and gore that scared him. It made sense now after he was helped to open up fully about his past. Surprisingly he was even giggling at the jump scares as he didn't find them scary. When they were half way through the film, Adam began to run his fingers through Betelgeuse's hair. He watched as his face began to relax as he loved Adam's hands running through his hair. It didn't take long for the youngest to purr. The girls giggled to each other, already aware of his soft spot and knew to ignore it, and Adam just looked amused and confused at the same time.
"Beej, d-did you just purr?!" Adam was smiling super wide and holding back a little laugh.
"Nah!! I did not purr, y-you're just hearing things!" Betelgeuse protested as he ran a hand through his hair, smoothing it back out.
"No, I'm pretty sure you purred. And I know I'm not hearing things because the girls reacted to it too." Adam smiled wide as Betelgeuse blushed slightly.
"J-just leave it alone." Betelgeuse mumbled.
"No." Adam said in a monotone voice
"Why?" Betelgeuse asked with a little bit of a whine
"Because that was adorable and I want to hear it again." Adam said as he pulled Betelgeuse closer to him and pulled his body down so his head was on his lap.
"-it's not adorable, it's embarrassing." Betelgeuse said, refusing to look at his boyfriend who began to run his hands through the green hair again as he spoke,
"I'll be the judge of that after I hear it again." Adam explained and Betelgeuse tried his best to suppress the purr, but lost that battle. He loved Adam's hands running through his hair, it felt nice and was relaxing to him. Soon enough Betelgeuse began to purr and Adam smiled and continued to run his hands through his lover's hair. "Yes, definitely adorable." Adam said as he kissed Betelgeuse on the forehead who sat up, and Adam frowned "What are you doing?" Adam said, sad that he had left his lap and wasn't purring anymore.
"If you keep playing with my hair like that I'm gonna fall asleep. It's like my off switch." Betelgeuse said, turning his attention back to the film. Adam frowned and pulled Betelgeuse back towards him and put his head on his shoulder with a pouty face.
"That's fine, I just wanna hear you purr more."
"Why?" Betelgeuse whined.
"Because it's cute, you're cute, and I just wanna." Adam said smiling hoping he would get Betelgeuse's attention,
"Plus, I can tell you're tired, I'm just looking out for you."
"I'm not tired." Betelgeuse said before yawning.
"That proves absolutely nothing."
"That proves absolutely everything, go to sleep." Adam ordered.
"What? No." Betelgeuse said, looking back at the television. He zoned out so he didn't notice the eldest squeezing him against his chest in a cuddle. He felt Adam begin to run his hands through his hair and his purr was back which made Adam smile and hug him tighter. Betelgeuse decided to just let it happen as he could tell Adam wouldn't give up, feeling sleep take over and before he knew it, he was sleeping soundly in Adam's arms; Adam fell asleep soon after so the girls went into their room and got their quilt cover to place it over them.
