"a plant-based toxin called amanitin was found in the stomach," minghao says to dokyeom as soon as he sees him in the law firm. 

dokyeom had asked the older for help because he is new to these kind of cases and though joshua said he will be with him to guide him, his help wasn't enough for him. he knows how busy his brother could be, so he invited seo minghao, as if the latter wasn't as busy.

"joshua hyung told me to drop the case," dokyeom shares sadly, he looks at the older and gave a short smile. 

"why is that?" the older felt bad for him. 

dokyeom shrugged, "i don't know, he texted me this morning saying that the case will not be handled by me anymore." 

"will he represent gyu minki then?" minghao asks confuse, another emotion clear on his face. 

"maybe," dokyeom shrugged again. 

the two then walked through the hallway leading to the office of the president of the law firm. hong joshua's office. 

the door opens and dokyeom immediately sees joshua and another man talking. the man's height somewhat similar as dokyeom's, his black framed glasses sitting perfectly on his sharp nose bridge covering his fox like eyes. the young lawyer even heard how deep the man's voice was, so sophisticated, elegant and reserved looking. 

"oh! you guys are here." joshua beamed in happiness upon seeing the two. 

"meet lawyer jeon wonwoo," joshua introduces the man to the two. the jeon wonwoo immediately reaching his hands to be shaked, smiling widely at them, giving them a wink which joshua didn't see. 

"mr. jeon is recommended by father, and he will be starting work today!" joshua says excitedly, smiling at the three.

"this is lawyer lee dokyeom, my brother. our friend seo minghao, a criminal law professor." the two said names bowed and smiled at the newcomer. 

"greetings, jeon wonwoo at your service." the man returned the bow of the two.

"starting today, mr. jeon is incharge of the case of gyu minki. dokyeom enlighten him about the case and surrender to him the evidences you have gathered so far," dokyeom frowned upon hearing that, he subconsciously let out a low whine.

"hyung, i want to be part of the case. it has only been a week since you gave me the authority and opportunity to lead a case and now your taking it back, just because father recommended someone." joshua can see the younger's hurt face, sulking and pouting his lips. it made his heart thug, weak for his brother.

joshua wanted to keep his brother away from the case but if it is what he want then so be it, he  did not want to see him hurt. he sighed, looking at dokyeom "alright, you can still be part of the case. is minghao in it too?"

"yeah, i asked him to help me." dokyeom answered for him, joshua nodded and smiled at the two. 

"however i am pulling out seungkwan and seungcheol of the case, we have some other matters to take care of." 

"a case?" dokyeom asks.

joshua didn't reply, but he smiled at his brother. he then quickly picked up his phone and called someone.

"mr. kang!" joshua softly waved his hand as an indication to leave, which the immediately three oblige to.

kang jung shik, a 57 years old man. owner of a 3 percent ownership in choi jae hyung's company, finally agreed to the 60 million won he offered. 

the lawyer only offered 20 million at first but the man kept asking him to go higher. if he had not threatened him of an information about his wife the man would probably go even higher. 

joshua's back account is probably weak right now, with only a couple of hundreds of million left. he did also buy a 7 percent share from someone plus now the 3  percent. joshua's revenge is costing him so much money.

he still has to pay some bills, salaries of those people who gives him information, and much more that he can't think of right now, his head feels like breaking thinking about it. joshua is also a philanthropist who donates money to kids, guess he won't be giving for quite some time. 

was it worth it? well yes, his 7 percent plus now 3 is equal to 10 percent. a number so close but still too far to the 15 percent of choi jae ha. the tech business is one of the biggest in the country, in a few months time he will be getting his money back and probably more. 

it's 3 am, and joshua had just finished signing up the contract, and it is official. he now owns the 10 percent of choi tech company. at that moment, he had just come back to the law firm. there weren't much people in there anymore, only those who are overworking themselves.

joshua walked so silently that no one even knew he entered the common room. maybe they were too busy and tired to care about his presence. he wanted to see if wonwoo was there, but he wasn't. dokyeom was not there too when he checked his office. well it is 3 in the morning.

hurriedly removing his coat and placing his bag on the table. joshua sat down on his chair and placed his feet on the table and leaned even more on his chair, getting comfortable. he forgot to turned on the light. the room is dark and the only source of light was from the moon. he allowed himself not to think about anything, not even to question the sudden existence of jeon wonwoo. 

after awhile, joshua woke up and his back was sore due to how wrong his position was when he slept in his office chair. 4 hours of sleep is not so bad to go through the day, still tired but enough to last for the day. it's 8 in the morning, joshua immediately started working after brushing his teeth and washing his face. 

"good morning. seungkwannie can i have some coffee please." 

"yes, mr. hong," seungkwan's sweet cheerful voice radiating with happiness, making joshua smile and adjust his square eyeglasses.

joshua looked up smiling, thinking it was seungkwan entering his office but to his surprise it was jeon wonwoo - wearing an all black attire, looking good but tired as well by the looks of his eyes, joshua's smile dropped into a serious expression.

"good morning, mr. jeon. what do i owe you for you to visit me this early in the morning?" he says getting back on his paper works.

"gyu minki is removed in the suspect lists of the prosecution." joshua raised his eyebrows still looking down on the papers.  

"why is that?" he turned the next page of the paper, still not looking at the man in front of him. 

"lee christian's best friend, joo sung in, had confessed to the crimes." 

"confessed?" finally, joshua looked at him. stopping what he is doing, turning his attention to wonwoo. 

"yes, at 3 am today he turned himself in. explaining that he was under the influence of drugs when the crime happened." joshua nodded listening intently.

"continue..." joshua leaned in on his chair and played with his pen, thinking as he listens.

"before coming to the restaurant of gyu minki, lee christian and joo sung in, met at an alleyway in seoul. mr. joo shared that they had kimbap together"

"the full report of the forensics came in this morning and it says in the report that the plant-based toxins which caused the poisoning were found in the dried seaweed of the kimbap. joo sung in is arrested now and is detained. the prosecution will give their full statement this afternoon." 

joshua nodded in understanding. it did make sense to him "will that be all?" 

wonwoo nodded, his two arms placed behind him, "yes sir."

"no need to be so formal wonwoo-shi, you could call me by my name. i appreciate you informing me, you can leave now and have some rest." he smiled at the man and nodded when he bowed at him.

joshua cannot seem to believe that, that was it. the case done after a confession. he knows there something still with gyu minki and lee christian, that even if he did not kill him, they are still connected. 

kim mingyu...

joshua called seungcheol and gathered his stuff and left the building to where his car is. seungcheol already waiting for him.

"i want to talk to your friend in prison," joshua immediately says as soon as they entered his car. 

"why?" 

joshua looks at sungcheol before starting the car, "gyu min ki and kim mingyu, don't you think they are the same person?" 

"possibly. what if they are twins?" seungcheol questions, making joshua think hard. 

"i have the recorded interview of dokyeon to gyu minki. do you think your friend can recognize him by his voice? i mean even if they were twins it would be impossible to have the same voice. right?" 

seungcheol stopped talking for a minute, joshua waiting for him. "i'll give it to him and asked him. if you go there you will be alarming the enemies."

joshua's eyes went wide, "enemies?" 

seungcheol nodded and came closer to joshua, "i've seen someone who keeps following you. he stands there and does nothing. he take pictures of you and just follows you until you've reached your apartment." 

"since when was this?" joshua's eyebrow furrowed. 

the choi's has finally done it. they started spying on him. sooner or later he may be in danger if he doesn't do anything about it. 

"i don't know i just saw him the other day following you from the restaurant where i met you at." 

seungcheol patted his shoulder "i hired someone to follow that man but he hasn't reported back to me yet, so i don't know who sent him. however i know you will be fine, don't worry too much about it." 

joshua returned his gesture, also patting seungcheol's back, "thank you cheol, you are being a really great help." 

"i bet it's from the that family choi's. ah! so annoying!" seungcheol says, his expression angry. sharing the same hatred joshua has for them, though he isn't a victim to their cruelty, cheol is just angry at people joshua's angry at, even though he doesn't know the reason, and the lawyer likes him for it.

"i think so too but let us not talk about that now. any new info about gyu minki?" joshua changes the topic, the thought of him being in danger soon scares him that he can't focus on his goals. 

"nothing. i have told you everything my friend told me." joshua nodded. 

"can we visit the burial of kim mingyu? do you know where it is?" he needs to know whether or not kim mingyu and gyu minki is related or the same person. he needs to know.  

"no. my friend said that he wasn't even sure if kim mingyu truly died, after fighting with lee christian he disappeared, everyone just assumed he was dead."

joshua's eyes became wide again as he draw a conclusion, "then it's possible! for kim mingyu and gyu minki to be the same person."

seungcheol sighed heavily and turned his body straight, removing his eyes away from joshua, "why are you even so interested about them?" 

joshua look at him not so sure whether he should tell him or not. "my father.... " he starts.

this got seungcheol interested that he turned his whole body to face joshua, "your father?" 

"yes. he asked me to let wonwoo handle the case of gyu minki." 

"your thinking that there is something about gyu minki that is making you father protect him?" seungcheol was also confused to what he was saying, but his unsureness ease away when he saw joshua nodding.

"not only my father but lee dokyeom, seo minghao and jeon wonwoo. there is something about gyu minki who may be possibly be kim mingyu, that all those four people wants to protect or hide. there is something more about lee christian, i feel like the confession of joo sung in was forced." 

"someone ordered him to," seungcheol trailed thinking about it as well.

"my father is more than capable of doing such thing, it's impossible that as soon as wonwoo took charge, the case was closed. being a lawyer is not a matter of luck." by how quick gyu minki was dismissed, joshua could only think jeon wonwoo manipulated the case and did some tricks to lift the suspicion of gyu minki. 

"so you're thinking that there is someone behind all of these, with kim mingyu?" joshua raised his eyebrows when he said that. 

"i mean gyu minki," seungcheol corrected he was beginning to think like joshua.

"i can't find any information about gyu minki, most of the things i found was already in the folder i gave you. he is a full blooded korean but he was born and raise in japan, not until he came here 5 years ago."

just then, joshua's phone vibrated, notifying him that he receive a text. 

i just sent the email. 

joshua reads. smiling at the sight of it, he took his laptop out of his bag. "this is what i've been waiting for today cheol." 

seungcheol came closer, face inches away from him "what is it? do you have any informats other than me?" 

"of course. i need information fast, but don't worry you're my favorite," he answered smiling at him as he enter his password. 

"tell me who this person is," seungcheol demanded, tone playful. 

"not now but soon you will," joshua smiled upon seeing the email, shutting his laptop down when he saw what he wanted to see. 

the lawyer and detective bid their goodbye after talking for awhile. "see you then hong joshua, i'll talk to my friend now" 

"alright. thank you and take care seungcheol." 

"you too," he watches as the detective walk in haste, this made joshua smile and went on to start his car.
