else.) Missy don't speak and never comes to the Quarters not even to see her mama. (15 words, completely selfish uncaring lady.) Missy wears all kinds of pretty dresses but she can't be too happy — not living under Miz Lilly day after day. (21 words, pretty sure Missy has learnt to never care again even about herself.) Aunt Tee is busy all the time — picking wild greens, making potions, birthing babies — and helping me make plans for runaways. (21 words, great that you allow her to help you with conductor stuff it would keep her cheerful doing good and that's real good.)
A group will be passing through Belmont in a few days. (11 words, very nice.)

187: 205th diary entry
Full moon, April 1860
Aunt Tee sang the signal -(4 words, wonder what it is this time, huh?)
Swing low, sweet chariot,
Coming for to carry me home . . .
A group of three runaways found their way to the Belmont station tonight. (13 words, three is good to start out with hard to trace.) One of them was a girl about ten. She was so scared. (12 words, I don't blame her everything in her world turned upside down.) I pressed Little Bit in her hand. (7 words, good idea, you've got your own security, your community on the plantation.) "She will keep you company," I said. (7 words, I'm sure this young girl did really believe that very previous sentence.)
The girl managed a weak smile. I had their passes written. (11 words, really prepared ahead of time indeed.) Aunt Tee had their food and water ready. (8 words, really prepped ahead of time, too.) Soon, a man dressed in black rowed up to the bank, making not a splash with his oars. (18 words, true entrances had to be noiseless to avoid detection.) "Come quickly." He was my partner, but we'd never talked or seen each other. (14 words, that is for the best.) Safer that way. He sounded like a foreigner. (8 words, he probably was and safer not to know who he was and what he looked like in the face anyways.) "See you next time," he said. I never saw his face. (11 words, but at least he was friendly.)
Quickly and quietly the runaways got in the boat and rowed away. (12 words, a wonderful job so very well done indeed.) I don't think I took a breath until they were out of sight. (13 words, true and not at all surprised.) Sitting here next to Aunt Tee in the cabin I feel good about staying for now. (16 words, that's great.)
One day I'll see the Philadelphia, the New York, and the Boston. (12 words, possibly true.)

Maybe I'll make my own run for freedom next year — or maybe the next. (14 words, true if you get motivated too.) Until then I have plenty of work to do. (9 words, also very true.)
