Sapphire's POV:

I don't see any way out of this except for running away. Till date I endured but now this is no longer my problem. It involves our Luna Bella and Hunter. Staying here would mean heartache to one and physical harm to another. If I stay here they would come here and take me, take me to be a birth machine to the Alpha. That would hurt Luna Bella the most and Snow is the worst! She is pissed at Alpha and she would definitely lash out at him if he as much as touches me. She might even kill him and I won't be able to control her because her wrath and angst is too much.

Not to mention about Hunter. Since he is taken into my so called 'family' after I disappear father would definitely do 'training sessions' with Hunter. And because he is a male kid he might start it earlier than when he started with me. I can't let that happen. I promised myself that I won't let anyone even touch Hunter. Now if I disappear my father would try to break him like he did to me and I am not sure if Hunter can survive that. I need to escape. But how will I survive? Escaping definitely means taking Hunter with me. Will we be okay as Rogues?

My last chance would be trying in the capital. I have to escape this night without anyone noticing. If father catches me, the consequences would be severe, not that I care but Hunter might get some of the burnt. I have to escape the border patrol and then try to get into the Capital without anyone catching me in the way, either by my pack or other pack since they would consider me rogue. I hugged Hunter close to me for support. No matter what we should escape tonight.

"I will keep you safe Hunter. We shall escape tonight and try to get into capital. Hopefully everything would be better there."

"Ayone on't beat vuu there?" Hunter asked in his cute voice and my heart clenched in agony. I wanted to keep him away from this world, keep his innocence still, let him not know all this but looks like he knows it huh? I failed in protecting him. A lone tear escaped from my right eye as heart is burdened by my failure.

"Hopefully." I answered unable to lie to him.

I heard a loud growl then making me snap my head to the window. The window snapped open, breaking the lock and a figure with a cloak entered. I pushed Hunter behind me to keep him safe and eyed the figure warily but immediately I noticed that it is Mr.Hoodied Guy.

"Mr.Hoodied Guy?" I asked giving him a small smile. I knew it was him. I might not have seen his face and it might be a year but I still know it is him and it might be insane for me to say this but based on his stance I can tell he is angry.

"What does he mean?" He growled.

I shushed him looking back at the door. My father might have gone out but my mother is still in the house. Hopefully she is still asleep like she should be. Hearing no moments I sighed in relief. Looking back at the Mr.Hoodied Guy, his eyes are still covered but I can feel them staring at me intently waiting for my answers.

"Nothing." I answered fidgeting.

"And so does the bruises on you?" He asked sarcasm clear in his voice. I could feel the anger rolling off of him in waves. "And what about you trying to escape?"

I felt Hunter clenching my T-shirt tightly behind my back. I took him in my arms and rubbed his back soothingly.

"Please calm down. You are scaring Hunter."

Sighing he sat down before me and took deep breathes trying to calm himself.

"He is the kid you found that day." He asked me and I am sure he knew that it is true but he is just asking that to divert the topic and calm himself.

"Yes, I call him Hunter after my grandfather."

"Will you tell me what happened?" He asked slowly. "Please! I want to help you and I am sure whatever it is would affect Hunter too. At least for the safety of Hunter? Let me help you." He pleaded and I could hear the sincerity in his voice and feel the gentleness from him.

Unknown POV:

As soon as we heard the words from the little my wolf and I saw red. The fresh bruises on her are proof if needed.

"Hopefully." The slight waver in her eyes and the look in her eyes made my gut clench and my wolf came forward growling, ready to pounce on whoever harmed her. I thought I knew anger but seeing her state I knew I was never angry. Her state gave a new meaning to anger to me. Pushing the window open I entered and though she was wary of me initially surprising me she recognized me. My wolf purred in thought that she not only remembered from one year but she recognized me though she never saw my face. I looked at her with adoration but the purple bruise on her face obviously from a punch or could be a kick made me thirst for blood.

"What does he mean?" My wolf growled. She shushed as if to make sure none could hear me. Are those bastards here? After that I had to control my wolf in order to not scare the kid. She seems to have a soft spot for him so I used that to get to her. That might seem dirty but I want to know who did this to her.

"Hunter? Go and play with your toys." She said directing hunter in another direction. He moved in the opposite direction where some worn out toys were there. I am sure she would give Hunter the best so that mean that is the best she could provide. Is she being mistreated? Because she is rejected by their Alpha? Does he have any role in this? If so God help him he will dead within seconds.

"You know that I was rejected by my Alpha right?" I nodded in silence. I am afraid if I open my mouth I might spew some colourful words regarding that....son-of-an-Alpha. "Six months back he offered me a deal." Of course I know about it since I was there! It could not be even called a deal. "He wants me to give him a son because he believes that heir by mates would be strong but I couldn't do that to our Luna and I refused. Recently our previous came to know about this whole deal and he wants me to agree to it. I refused again. He was furious and he told my father I guess. My father ....he is......he never liked me much and he wants me to accept it. He says it's for the safety of the pack and is forcing me. They would take me to the Alpha tomorrow and I am asked to cooperate."

I bit back a growl at this. The information she gave me is bullshit. She is giving me the gist and biting back all the gruesome details. I know it because I was there when that son-of-an-Alpha offered that so called deal. Then what happened with this son-of-an-Alpha's father?

"Sunshine, I want you to trust me."

"What?"

"Just trust me and think about what happened with Alpha's father?" She bit her lip in thought.

"Please?"

"Okay."

"Now close your eyes and don't resist me. Allow me in."

"What?"

"Just do it please?"

"I don't know what I am doing and how am I supposed to do it."

"Please trust me and allow it. It will happen."

"Okay since you are saying. I believe you." My wolf purred hearing her say the words that she believes in me. This is the biggest achievement in my life! The best!

I was called to the previous Alpha's house and I dreaded to go there. Why did he call me in the first place? Did he knew about my situation with his son? If he did what does he want with me? I am sure he is not my side. When Warren was declared the Alpha, he announced Bella as his mate and the Luna of our pack. She does her duty efficiently and I am sure the previous Alpha thinks I am not fit to be the Luna. After all I never amounted to much in the pack. I am nobody.

Going inside I saw Alpha along with our Luna and I was slightly relieved to see her here. Our Luna is a kind person and even though I don't know the kind of effect she has I am sure she will be helpful at least to escape for this night.

"Alpha, Luna!" I said bowing to them in respect.

"Warren told me you refused to give him an heir." Alpha said coming to the point directly. I was shocked at first not knowing what to reply. So he knows I am his son's mate and he doesn't care that he rejected me. Only that I didn't give me a heir. So that is my worth huh? As an heir-giving-machine.

"Yes." I replied after getting my bearing together. The reaction was immediate. He grew angry in a second and stood up shouting at me.

"You don't even care about the pack's safety huh? What a selfish person you are! Thinking only about yourself and your happiness. Can't you at least do that much for your pack? It's not like we are asking you die for the pack! You would even get what you want all your life. No wonder my son didn't want you!"

I clenched my fists tightly and gritted my teeth. I am selfish person huh? Me who let your son, my mate, to be with the love of his life, not that I wanted him in the first place.

But what pack safety is he talking about when it is just a belief that children with mates are strong. "I am willing to overlook that mistake. Just do what you are said."

'What mistake is he talking about?' Snow growled angrily! 'May be the mistake of being mated to his son?'

"I am afraid I would still have to refuse Alpha." I said suppressing my wolf. If she comes out then it would be a big problem.

"What?" He growled looking at me menacingly daring me to repeat what I said. Like he could make me say yes with his glare.

"I said that I refuse Alpha." I repeated calmly trying to contain my wolf who is itching to see his blood. When threatened about pups Snow becomes extremely protective, unborn as they might be. Even the thought of pups with Warren repulses her.

"How dare you refuse me, your Alpha? You lowlife."

"If you think I am indeed a lowlife then I am glad because you wouldn't want the child of a lowlife, would you?" I answered logically controlling my wolf who is growing feral with every second. My previous alpha is stepping on all the correct spots to provoke my wolf but I can't risk it. If the power leaks from my wolf in any form it might raise a doubt in him. Then he would ask me to shift and if he sees my wolf then he would go to the ends of earth to get me mated to his son.

"You slydog! Trying to outsmart me now? Back talking to adults, not to mention I was your Alpha? Such a disgrace you are. This is why your parents hate you and the pack hates you. You are considered a lowlife and why son rejected you. You doesn't deserve to be my son's mate. Fate did a big mistake pairing up son with you. You are only valuable to give my son a heir or else for disrespecting me you would have been dead by now."

"I believe I have more than enough manners to even respect an alpha like you!" I or more like my wolf growled since I was unable to hold her back since the previous Alpha called us a dog and illmouthed me. She is extremely protective of me and not to mention he stated giving his son a heir.

"You!" He stood up and slapped me hard, the sound echoing throughout the room and my face turned to the right with the impact stinging hard. He didn't hold back and used his Alpha power too.
