I landed on the ground by using some wind magic to reduce my momentum. When my feet touched the ground I saw something surreal. The demon I just shot out from the tea room was landing on the ground head first and now it had its upper half stuck inside the earth.

"Acha.... It seems like this guy is just a grunt."

I said.

"That's exactly right, human."

I heard a heavy voice from the sky. A demon with bat wings was hovering in the air.

"Oya? I never thought that a big shot will appear."

I said.

"Heh! Say whatever you want. I will kill you here and now."

He said.

"That would be troubling so I will refuse it with all my might."

I said.

"Feel free to do that. But, that's futile. A weak youngling like you can't defeat the mighty me."

He said.

"But, firstly..."

I stretched my neck.

"Can you get down? It's a pain to look upward for long time."

I said.

"Whine whatever you want. I know that you don't like the mighty me looking down on you right?"

He said arrogantly. I frowned when I heard him. Judging from his reaction and responses just now, I could guess that he is that kind of higher ups.

"But, you're wrong if you said I'm a human."

I said.

"Mu? You're not?"

He was surprised.

"Look at the broken window over there"

I pointed upward. He looked up at the broken window.

"So what of it?"

He asked.

"There's no human who can jump out from that height unscathed."

I said.

"Mu? That's also true."

He said.

"Also, I am an acquaintance with Filma-dono. If you don't believe it, you can ask her."

I said.

"Filma-sama, you said?!!"

He was surprised.

"Filma offered me some interesting offer the other day. I asked her to give me some time and I'm here not to answer her. I heard she's looking for the hero's companions so I waited her to pick that elf wizard but to think she will send some grunts instead. This is troubling."

I said.

"Mu? If I were in your shoes that was certainly troubling."

He said.

"See? Ah. Actually I'm tired of waiting. Can you tell me where Filma is? Instead of waiting for her uncertain visit, I'll go to her place instead."

I asked.

"Ah, Filma-sama is in the demon lord castle."

He said.

"Where that might be?"

I asked him again.

"Ah, that's inside the inactive mountain in Folmard Mountain range."

He said.

"There you heard it."

I said as I looked upward to the broken window.

"Ah, as a reward, can you make him get down? My neck is getting uncomfortable from looking upward nonstop."

I said.

"What are you- ARGH!!"

BOOM!!

When the demon was trying to comprehend my words, a strong lightning struck his back and he crashed to the ground.

"YOU TRICKED ME!!!"

The demon was enraged.

"I didn't trick you or anything. I'm indeed not a human but a dragon and I have some favor with Filma to settle."

I said.

"Grr!!!"

He gritted his teeth. I searched something inside my pocket. I took out a vial and threw it to him.

"Here, catch."

CRASH!!

I threw it like a baseball pitcher. The demon was caught in surprise and used his had to block it.

SSsssssssssssssss

Smoke was rising when the liquid inside the vial made a contact with the skin.

"GRAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!"

He howled in pain.

"Ah, I got the wrong bottle."

I said jokingly.

"Damn you!!"

He got more enraged. I used the moment to check on his stats.

I had expected him to be a fool but this was beyond my expectation.

"I will rip you!!"

He shouted. I fired a fire bullet at his wound.

"That tickles!!"

He said. His speed didn't decrease at all.

"Whoa!!"

I kicked the ground and leaped to the right.

BOOM!!

The place where I was standing received the impact of his attack and turned into small fragments.

"That was close"

SWOOSH!!

Just before I could complain, he already leaped toward me. I kicked the ground.

"Got you!"

He said. I widened my eyes when his voice came from behind me instead of the front.

BOOM!!

I received a great pain on my side. I crashed into a wall before landing on the ground.

"*cough! You're quite strong."

I said as I tried to raise my body.

"No need for compliment!! JUST DIE!!"

He charged at me again. This time he attempted to stomp me.

"Transmute"

I muttered. I dispersed the earth under my feet and dug a hole under a thin layer of earth. At the bottom of the hole I created hardened spikes. In other words, I created a pitfall.

BOOM!!

"GEH?!!"

He fell straight to the hole after the ground collapsed. A jump kick was an attack which had obvious direction and easy to dodge as long as it wasn't too fast.

I stretched my hand to my magic pocket and fish out a healing potion. I chugged it down without hesitation and supported myself to stand up.

"Geh!! You still dare to trick me?!!"

He shouted. He jumped out from the hole. His body had several shallow holes from the spikes underground.

"Are you really asking a mage to do a close quarter combat?"

I said.

"Yeah!! I don't care if you're weak or anything!! If you died, then blame that weakness of yours!!"

He said as he kicked the ground. Our distance decreased a lot. I prepared my stance. When his fist approached, I caught it and used my left leg as a pivot before rotating using his speed to create a rotational force. After rotating ten times, I threw him using the centrifugal force.

BOOM!!

He crashed to the wall.

"Ugh!"

I felt bit uncomfortable from the sudden spinning.

"GRAH!!"

He rose up once again.

"You tricked me again!!"

He was getting angrier.

"Blame that stupid head for being tricked easily."

I provoked him.

"DIE!!"

I slipped through his obvious attack. I caught his wrist and twisted it behind his back before kicking the back of his knee to make him stood on his knee. I tried to retaliate but I caught his other arm and strengthen my lock. Even I say I locked his arm, I was barely able to do it.

"Ugh!! Heavy!!"

"Nununununnunuununununu!!!!!!!!!!!!"

We both tried to overcome each other's strength. I looked into the distance. With my remaining concentration, I created 12 magic circles in single line.

"You!! Gh!! Said!! You likes!! Gh!! To fly!! Right?!!"

I tried to communicate while putting my whole strength and concentration.

"THEN!! JUST!! FLY!!"

I poured my magic into the magic circles before pushing the massive body to the closest magic circle. The closest one was a telekinesis magic for moving an object while the other magic circles were acceleration and magic amplification. By lining them like this, the result was...

"OUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The massive body was launched like a cannon ball into the distance. With the elevation angle of the magic lines, the mass of the demon, and the result of the sudden acceleration, the demon should have flew beyond the atmosphere by now.
