The news of the beastkin at the capital of Maximillian was spread throughout the the whole country but it didn't reach outside world. The reason was the complete lockdown of the country border of Maximillian. Nobody had been able to enter or leave the country. 

Not long after the massacre, the beastkin hunt was held. One by one, the lives of beastkins were taken mercilessly by the agents of the church. But, not just the beastkins who had been hunted by the churches. Elves, Dwarves and other demi-humans had also become the target of the church. And the ones who knows about this were just the citizen of Maximillian. 

At the middle of the night, two shadows were running through the forest toward the border of Maximillian. One of them was a beastkin while the other was a human. Wearing the pitch black robes while hiding under the shadows of the forest.

The identity of the beastkin was the former maid of Concerto family, Natalia. She hid her cat ears under the hood. While the human running in front of her was a single male with an afro hair hidden under the dark robe. The true identity of person was none other than the hero of wisdom, Haruhide Haruta.

After running for long time, Natalia tripped on a root. Haruta stopped and approached her.

"Are you alright? Can you stand?"

Haruta asked. He offered his hand to help her stand.

"I think I can't go on anymore,nya. I have no more power left inside,nya."

Natalia said.

"Just a little bit more and we'll be out from this place. Jung hang on for a while."

Haruta said.

"It's impossible for me, nya. Hurry up and go on ahead without me, nya."

Natalia said weakly. Judging from her voice, she indeed had piled quite fatigue from their journey.

"You can't give up just yet!! Also, like hell I can leave you behind like that!! Also, I already promised Titus-san to get you out from this place!!"

Haruta said desperately.

"But... I can't move anymore,nya."

Natalia said weakly.

"Then, we'll rest for a while. We will resume our escape after that."

Haruta said.

"Yes, thank you, Haruta-san."

Natalia said. She closed her eyes in no time and fell asleep. Haruta took off his hood and looked at the sky.

"Why it have to be this way? This isn't like you at all, Daigo."

Haruta lamented.

"Then, let me tell you the reason."

A voice came from the darkness of the forest. A man wearing white executioner robe came approached Haruta and the sleeping Natalia. Haruta gritted his teeth. 

"Tch!! To think we got found out right away."

Haruta cursed. He glanced at Natalia. She didn't show any sign of waking up. Whether she had fallen asleep so deep because of her fatigue or something else, he had no way to find out.

"If you think you can escape through the wilderness area of our border you must have underestimated us, the Chosen Children. By the way, I am the leader of the guardian of this area. I'm known as Rogue Wolf."

The man with ash colored hair and red eyes showed his figure. Behind him, several people with similar attire as him came out from the surroundings. They were all had different figures, face, and hair color but they all had same sinister red colored eyes.

"Well then, shall we begin the guidance for our hero-sama who has been deceived by the lowly beast lying over there?"

Rogue said. 

"Fighting them by myself might be doable but at this rate Natalia-san will be in danger."

Haruta murmured. He gritted his teeth and watched his surroundings as the number of his enemies kept increasing and had both Natalia and him surrounded.

"This is bad, at this rate no matter what I do, Natalia-san will be in danger."

Haruta took a step closer to Natalia with a barrier spell ready anytime.

"Banquet of Thunder"

A voice echoed in the forest. It was not loud but it was quite audible for several people. Haruta widened his eyes hearing the voice. He poured all of his magic power into the barrier spell he had prepared before. As soon as he did, dark purplish colored lightning rained down to the area. The trees were turned into dust in instant, the ground was gouged out by the lightning strikes, and people aiming for both Haruta and Natalia turned into nothing but ashes upon receiving the baptism of the strong lightning strike.

When the shower of lightning and thunder ended, the smoke started to dissipate. The scenery of the forest covered by thick trees turned into wasteland filled with craters. And at some distance away from Haruta, a single person was having a severe burn injury all over his body with his robe tattered here and there. He, Rogue, shifted his attention which had been directed to Haruta to the sky where the culprit who had fired the mass destruction spell.

Haruta followed Rogue's eyes and saw something he didn't want to see. Flying in the sky was a demon. He had the head of a goat, body of human, four black burly arms, a pair of gigantic wing and a pair of hooves instead of legs covered in dark brown fur.

"You are-"

Haruta lost of words. He couldn't believe what he saw. The person he thought had left the kingdom for good was actually in front of his eyes while looking down from the sky.

"Why are you here?!!"

Before anyone could react, Haruta shouted.

"Answer me, Frigate!!"

Haruta added. The demon, Frigate, didn't answer him. He just gave a simple grin at his question.
