The battle in the dungeon was taking long time to end. The boss of the undead was continuously reviving the destroyed skeleton from the piles of bones.
Even if in every swing of my sword had defeated many opponents at once, at first it felt nothing but nuisance but as the time passed the fatigue started pile up.
"Even I like this opportunity to farm some experience but this is quite tiring. Garm, any idea?"
I said as I turn few skeletons and zombies into piles of bones and chunks of flesh.
"Actually, I got tired of cutting those rotten meat and piles of bones too. But, I don't think I can think any useful strategy except charging forward and kill that annoying laughing skeleton on that throne."
Garm said. I turned my attention to the aforementioned skeleton and saw it was already reviving the recently crushed skeleton. It pointed its finger at me. The skeletons rushed their way to me. This time, they moved altogether to defeat me with sheer number.
"This is getting more and more annoying!! If only I brought Karina with me she could defeat them all with her holy swor-"
I stopped mid sentence. I smirked as I faced the undead wave. I leaped away from my enemies to create some distance. I quickly operated my system and turned one of the options I had turned off to avoid all of the possible trouble caused by them. I put Garm back to his sheath.
The atmosphere changed. With my body as the centre, an invisible wave spread out to the end of the room. A faint golden aura was flowing out from my body.
Holy Aura, Activate!!
As soon as the wave swept the army of skeletons and zombies, they turned into piles of bones. The rotting flesh of the zombie were giving some faint steam before evaporating into nothing.
The only undead remained was only the lord who was sitting on his throne. The lord raised its hand, trying to revive the skeletons with its magic. However, not even single skeleton revived. Instead, only white smoke rose from the piles as the newly formed miasma was purified almost immediately.
"What's wrong? Can't do anything without your grunts?"
I provoked it.
"Goodness, master, please finish him already and turn off this holy aura. Being showered by this attribute didn't affect me as it was yours but even so, I felt disgusted from in contact with it continuously."
Garm complained from the sheath.
"Sure thing."
I said. I summoned my regalia replica. The holy spear manifested in my hand and strengthened the holy aura around me.
The lord looked at me and a major change occurred. It screamed rather loudly like a banshee. The lord rose into the air. Thick miasma flooded out from the body and spread to the entire room.
" Oh, boy. I got a bad feeling about this."
Garm said.
"What a coincidence, me too."
I said. I poised my spear tip at my sole opponent.
"Master, dodge!!"
Garm suddenly warned. I gasped by his sudden scream and leaped backward.
"Wha-"
I was lost of words. At the spot where I had been standing before, two gigantic palms made of bones were clasped together.
The palms separated from each other and faced toward me. As soon as the palms separated, the floating lord came to my view. It was floating in the air with thick miasma flowing down from his shoulder as if he was wearing a mantle made of miasma.
"Seriously? To think I triggered his second form..."
I muttered.
"Master, I think I got a bad news for you."
Garm said. As soon as he said it, I could hear some metallic footsteps behind me. With my spear poised forward I glanced at the doorway. Ten death knights were putting their stance behind me in curved formation as if to block my exit. Behind them, I could see around 20 skeletons holding bows and arrows. I turned my face forward just to see more than 20 wraiths were appearing from inside of the miasma mantle.
"Got any idea to solve this shit?"
I asked my sword.
"... Uh... Master"
Garm called.
"What? You got an idea?"
I asked.
"Do your best on surviving."
Garm added. As soon as he said that, the wraiths rushed toward me, the arrows were set loose and the large palms were flying forward to catch and crush me inside its grip.
"You'll see what you get after this you stupid sword!!"
I shouted as I resumed the second round of our battle.
