Lately things had became more and more boring as time passed. Most of the time, I was just secluding myself in my lab for teaching my disciples or making potions. I sometimes visited Alicia to check on her study but it didn't last long as I was just distracting her.

Assembling information from my legion members were quite interesting but it became nearly useless knowledge as I had no means of using it for something unless I left this place and returned to that territory.

"Is something bothering you, Ren?"

Lucio greeted me when I was absentminded. I looked toward her and saw a bottle in her hand.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

She asked.

"I guess it's not bad if only for a bit."

I said. Lucio grinned when she heard my answered. We left my study and headed to an empty balcony of my lab. 

"So, what's bothering you?"

She asked while pouring the content of her bottle into a glassware she fetched from her bag. 

"Hmm... nothing much. I just kind of bored with things here."

I said.

"Boredom huh? That's kind of a troublesome problem you have."

She said before gulping down the content of her glass.

"Don't you have something to research on?"

She asked.

"I do, but the materials aren't available here."

I replied. Lucio sighed after took another glass of her drink.

"I see... Then, if i were giving you an interesting topic of research, will you do the research on that?"

She asked.

"Depend on the topic. Also, the current state of ours isn't really good for doing any research."

I said.

"In that case, for someone who bears the Demon Flag of Death, what do you think of reincarnation?"

She asked. The word reincarnation piqued my interest for a bit. Judging from her tone, she was either a reincarnator or someone who wishes to be reincarnated.

"Why do you ask that?"

I asked her to ensure the simple doubt inside my mind.

"There are many reason for that. First, if it really exists, i wish to know whether my beloved one is reincarnated into a better life or not."

She said before pouring another glass of her drink into her throat.

"I see... The other reason?"

I tried to pry it deeper.

"Honestly, I want to start over again. You know, I was trapped in this feminine body for more than 40 years already. As a demon lord, we had long life and our appearance growth is slowing down or rather it will stop on certain extent. That is why, I want to restart my life and had a proper one from the beginning. I mean, be born normally, grew up, having friend, falling in love, having a family, and dying in peace. That was what I really wanted since I had completely become a demon lord."

She said.

"And the third reason?"

I asked her.

"..."

She fell silent.

"Don't wanna talk about it?"

I asked. She looked at the bottle in her hand.

"I'm sure you'll laugh at it if i tell you."

She said. She gave a saddened looks on her face.

"Let me guess, you want to say that you got reincarnated before?"

I asked in joking manner.

"..."

She didn't answer my question.

"So you do huh?"

I said. I reached for my bag. I took out a notepad and a quill pen.

"Between believing or not believing, I chose the former one in fact."

I said. I glanced at her face and saw her showing a disbelieving look. 

"Don't tell me you-"

"Don't get me wrong, I just met the one in charge of that matter back in Boundary of Life and Death."

I cut her words. I didn't tell her that I got reincarnated as there was a risk involved if I told her.

"The one in charge?"

She titled her head.

"The Deity of Death and Reincarnation, Radian. Thanks to him and his minions I almost ceased to exist in that seal."

I said while shrugging my shoulders.

"I see... I thought you're a reincarnator like 'her'."

She said. Her words made me frown for a second.

"You know a reincarnator?"

I asked her.

"To be precise, I fell in love with one."

She said.

"Tell me the detail."

I said.

"Eeeh, no way. It's something that can be said as my dark history."

She said.

"I see... then I can't say that I am interested in researching this."

I said. She smiled weakly.

"I see... That's too bad."

She said.

"But, I will probably will research it in the future."

I added. Lucio gasped.

"You're going to do it?"

She asked to confirm my words.

"I will but that would be some time in the future. After all, my wife is not someone who has a long life. I need to prepare some ways to lengthen her lifespan or a method to reincarnate her into a new vessel."

I said.

"I see..."

She said.

"But, if i can find a subject who got really reincarnated, i might be able to do it sooner. After all, finding one in the countless sea of people will be taking a lot of time. Of course, there's nobody around us who is a reincarnator."

I said as I looked at the distance. I peeked at Lucio's expression. She looked down on her own reflection on the surface of her drink with conflicted expression.

"Actually, I know one person who fit that criteria. However, that guy is dangerous. He's strong and tricky. I wanted to give his name to you but I already signed a non-aggression pact with that guy."

Lucio said.

"I see... In that case, I'll subdue him for you. I'm interested in talking to him somehow or another. It can be said that it's probably a good deal. I will take care of your worries and I got to satiate my boredom."

I said.

"..."

Lucio stayed silent and pondered.

"Are you really sure that you can win against someone who has magic and physical immunity?"

She asked.

"Immune to attacks doesn't mean he can't be defeated. There're plenty of way to kill. Poisoning, Burning, Drowning, Suffocating, and many other methods."

I said confidently.

"As expected of Acedia Demon Lord. You know a lot of way to end someone's life easily."

Lucio said mockingly.

"But, I guess I'll tell you."

She added. She faced me straight and looked at me with serious expression.

"The one you're looking for is located in-"

BB : Hello, hello, everyone!! Boss Blazt Here!! Long time no see!!

BB : Iyaa, Looking for an employment is quite pain in the ass indeed. Haaa, I wonder if I can got accepted already. Don't you agree everyone?

BB : Haaa, it seems like there would be no joking around here. Let's get to the main topic already. Today, i will announce several things. The first is that there're some good and bad news. The second would be an explanation regarding the continuous cliffhangers on the late chapters. And lastly, is an event, I guess...

West : Just get started already, you slowpoke author!!

BB : Muu... I wonder why I got scolded like this. I guess I chose a wrong guest this time. 

BB : Alright, first is the news. I guess I will start from the good news first. It seems like the government had decided to reassess my civil servant test score and I managed to pass the second preliminary. The job is getting closer to the grasp!! Woohoo!!! It means that there will be a chance of I got employed at the city. It also means that I probably wouldn't have to worry about the internet connection and it resulted the quicker uploading process of the chapters!!

BB: The bad news though, firstly, I'd like to say that my cat got sick. He doesn't want to eat at all and he got a fever. It worried me a lot. Please get well soon buddy!! Ah, that aside, the problem is the schedule of the next test. It was going to be held next week. For heaven sake, it was just too sudden!! I haven't studied anything!! So, after this chapter, there probably won't be any new chapter for few days. m(_ _)m

BB : The second matter would be about the continuous cliffhangers. Well, my apologies for this one. I got too many draft piled up in my storyline planner and had no way to choose among them. That was why, I made some teasers for the opening of each story arcs and sub arcs and will hold either a voting for which arc I must finish first or I will have a long discussion with my editor and adviser.

BB : ...
