I stepped into the magic practice field. The other students turned their gaze toward me.

"Finally you come, chicken wuss."

A blonde boy said arrogantly. There were 5 lackeys stood behind him. I didn't care about him and walked toward the teacher instead.

"Sensei, pardon my lateness."

I said. The teacher just looked at me dumbfounded and nodded.

"HEY!! Don't ignore me!!"

The blonde boy said. At that time, Leo and Alicia arrived. I walked past the boy and greeted Alicia and Leo.

"You're slow."

I said.

"Don't compare ordinary child's physique with yours, Ren."

Leo refuted.

"LIKE I SAID, DON'T IGNORE ME!!"

The blonde boy shouted.

"How noisy. Leo, do you know him?"

I asked Leo.

"He's Archduke Mark's eldest son, Velt Mike. He's the leader of Alicia's fan club."

Leo said.

"I see."

I replied as I lost my interest.

"DON'T IGNORE ME!!"

Velt said angrily. His voice was so noisy and attracted everyone's attention.

"You!!"

He pointed his finger at my nose.

"Break your engagement with Alicia-sama!! You're just a lowly Baron and a dropout of magician!! You don't deserve her!!"

He claimed.

"Is that all?"

I said disinterested.

"You got it wrong when you said I'm a magician. I'm an Alchemist as well as an Arcanist."

I added.

"Alchemist? What's the trashy class doing here? Furthermore, I'm surprised by your shamelessness to stay as Alicia-sama's fiancé. You foolish peasant should just go away and-"

SLAP!!

A loud slap echoed in the room and interrupted his sentence. Hand mark was imprinted on his face after Alicia slapped his face hard.

"Eh?"

He was dumbfounded.

"Don't speak badly of my fiancé!!"

She said.

"But, Alici-"

"SHUT UP!!"

She cut him again not letting him to insult me any further.

"Tch! To think you will hide behind Alicia-sama, what a cowardly person. If I were you I will- umph!!"

Velt was suddenly got his mouth covered from behind by his lackey.

"I think you shouldn't insult him anymore."

His lackey said.

"Ha? What are you-"

He finally realized what his lackey means. After Alicia slapped him, as a precaution I made three magic circles aimed at his vitals silently. The magic circles hovered silently like a predators aiming for their prey.

"Step forward and you're dead."

I said.

"M-Multi-cast!!"

A student said. If you used the students at my age as standard, multi casting was already high level skill.

"Heeh, you're good."

A girl approached. She was a girl with drill roll shaped hairstyle. Compared to Alicia, she had more proportional body.

"Ameralda-Nee-sama, I think it would be better if you don't approach them. The persistent bug is nearby."

A girl behind the blonde girl said. She had short purple hair. Both of them wore the academy's uniform and magician cape over it.

"Sella, You don't have to say it. I'm just curious about this guy."

Ameralda said.

"You little bug, please be grateful for her to speak to you."

Sella said coldly. I sighed and looked at Leo's face.

"Leo, is this the gal?"

I asked him. Leo fidgeted a bit and nodded shyly. This guy is hopeless.

I walked toward Ameralda. She widened her eyes as if she was afraid of me. I glanced at Sella. She put on her guard against me. I sighed and returned to Leo's side. I put my hand to his shoulder and whispered.

"Leo, ready your sword. You can have that girl if you get rid of the 'parasite' sticking on her."

I looked at Ameralda again. The invisible 'being' was glaring at me.

"On my mark"

I said.

"This girl is not worthy of you Leo."

I said loudly.

"It's not like you're not worthy for her. It's the opposite. She isn't worthy for you. If she becomes my sister-in-law in the future, I can't help but worry about Maximillian future."

I added.

"Ren, isn't that too far?"

Leo said.

"What? I'm just speaking the fact."

I said. Leo pulled his sword out.

"If you insulted her more than this, you won't get out from this room unscathed."

He said.

"Heh, try me."

I said. Leo dashed toward me. His sword glowed from the holy magic enchantment.

I smirked seeing this. I created my magic circle above my left shoulder. Leo increased his speed as he swung his sword diagonally.

Thud!!

A head rolled on the ground.

"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!"

Several students went into panic and began running.

"NOBODY MOVE!!!"

I shouted. The loud voice surprised everyone. They trembled as they made their body as far away as from us. I looked at the opponent before me. After got its head severed, the little 'parasite' revealed itself and jumped away from Ameralda's body.

Ameralda suddenly fell down like a doll with the string cut. Leo swiftly caught her with his free hand.

"I'm surprised you can detect my presence, human."

The 'parasite' said. It had small body and wings on its back. From the wound of the severed head, meat began growing into a new head.

The imps or the commonly known as the little devils were the demons specialized in illusion and mind magic.

"Demon's lord army huh?"

I muttered.

I glanced at one of the students.

Status: Possessed

Few of them had this status. Judging from this, the students were not safe either.

"Alicia, call the Jailers. Leo, protect your princess. Sensei, please don't let anyone else out from this room. I'll deal with this ugly thing."

I said. After I finished speaking, the imp had finished regenerating his head. It looked at my face before laughing.

"To think I would meet the hero here is quite surprising. But, if I could stop you from growing any further, Maou-sama should be very delighted with me."

It said. I smirked.

"For a mere grunt to dream so big, it seems like the demon lord army is full of daydreamers."

I mocked.

"SHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The imp jumped at me. I side-stepped before shooting a lightning bullet to its head.

"Guh!!!"

A male student with possession status fell down weakly. He held his head as if having a tremendous pain. The imp laughed.

"Look! You just harmed your comrade!"

It said.

"I've created a barrier link with your fellow humans. When you attack me, your comrades will be harmed."

It added. I frowned. I raised my hand and stretched my palm toward the imp.

"Don't tell me, you!!"

It panicked. I created dozen of small sized magic circles around him.

"Do you have no guilty feeling toward the fellow humans you have hurt?!!"

It warned. I just smirked and fired my magic at certain interval. When the imp, raised it's body I shoot again till he did again. One by one the students fell down in pain. The teacher panicked and checked on them.

"It's just sensory link curse. They are not deadly but painful."

I said. I kept shooting till the imp finally stopped regenerating and created a pool of purple blood on the floor.

"Damn it!!"

It cursed. I fired another magic bullet and killed it at once.

"Is it dead?"

Leo asked me. He had left Ameralda on the floor.

"Yeah, this guy is quite low leveled if compared to Filma and Markha but compared to the students, it might be a formidable enemy."

I said.

"Ren-sama!! I brought Lyold-san here."

Alicia returned not long after. Lyold walked in and checked on the demon corpse. I was scolded by Duventoliel for three hours after that. After that incident, no student ever fussed about me skipping class and Leo's relationship was somehow stayed same as if nothing happened.
