"there. Happy now? I have rejected you." i said turning away from him

"i was going to reject you. Why did you reject me when you knew i would do it?" he said wincing. I knew. He is feeling the pain of rejection.

Not only him. So am I. I can feel the pain. It hurts. But not as much as last time. Because this time i didn't get rejected. Instead i rejected. But still it hurt. Knowing i rejected my only chance for a second life happiness, it's hurting me mentally.  M

"i won't get rejected twice in my life. Pain of once is enough for me." i replied coldly. 

"Alpha Luciano is your other mate? Didn't know there is something called second chances." Artorius shrugged. "neither did i. He is my first mate." i nodded.

"f*ck this hurt." he growled to himself. "it does. Enjoy the pain. It will last in some time. Or either just get used to it or ignore it." with that i walked away.

Fate always has a way with playing with our lives. My life. First i wasn't able to shift. Second, got rejected and abused by my parents, siblings and old pack members. Third, found my mate. Bestfriend of my brothers. A player to be honest. Got rejected and almost raped by him. Then left my pack. Got new friends. And again in to another situation. Blood Moon as once it was called. Almost got killed. Got an arrow wound. Shifted. Became an Alpha. Became a god mother. Lost a motherly figure. Became a mother at 16 years. And then again lost another loving person of my life. Found out my enemy is my biggest nightmare. And then here comes the get together. A stupid family reunion. Meeting a second chance, as if one wasn't enough to deal with. And again meet ex mate. And finally a rejection.

Wow! My life is totally dramatic! Probably should write a book on this and publish on some website.

I saw Dark Shadow Beta. "excuse me, Beta Carson." i said. "yes, Alpha Beau?" he asked. "actually it's just Alpha Aerowyn. Can you please tell me where me my room is?" i asked politely.

 "oh. Let me take you there, Alpha." he said. "call me Aerowyn or Winnie." i said. "ok, Winnie. I am Viladmir Andrew Caraon. You can call me Viladmir or Vilad." he said leading the way. "Vilad it's then." i smiled. He smiled in return.

He lead me to my room and bid me goodbye. I walked into see Kail sleeping peacefully on the bed. I smiled softly and went to bathroom. After taking a bath, i decided to take a nap.

"wake up! Sleepy head!" i heard Esmeralda's voice in the distance. "come on, Rowy!" she yelled. "I'm gonna dump a bucket of cold water on you... in 5 seconds!" i heard Darren's voice.

"tik tik 1..."

"tik tik 2..."

"tik tik 3..."

"tik tik 4..."

"I'M AWAKE!" I yelled jumping out of the bed. I fell to the ground because of the blanket wrapped around my legs. I groaned in frustration when my friends started to laugh.

"where is Kai?" i asked. "he went with Maya. They having fun in the park. He woke up 6 hours ago." Danicia said helping me stand up. "6 hours?! How long have i..."

"6. Don't worry. You had a stressful day. I didn't let anyone disturb you that's why." Rayce said. "thanks Ray." i said giving him a hug. "anytime baby boo." he said. "that's where i take back my thanks." i growled at him. I hate it when he calls me 'baby boo'.

Everyone started laughing.

"we have a bonfire to get ready for." Danicia cheered. "a bonfire?" i asked. "welcome to Dark Shadow shit." Darren shrugged.

"about that... Why did the Lycan make you wait?" he asked. I felt like my breath caught in my throat. "he is your mate isn't he?" Jaxon growled overprotectively. "how did you know?" i asked. "the way you both looked at each other and pulled your hands away when you shook hands is pretty much enough to understand." Jaxon replied.

"oh. I rejected him." i stood up and walked over to the mirror. I looked at myself from it.

"why? Why did you do that?" Darren asked confused. "you could have gotten another life. A beautiful one with a mate and Kail as a son." Jaxon also tried to reason.

"it's never gonna happen. If I didn't reject him, he would have rejected me." i mumbled. They gave me a look of shock and confusion. I took the look as a 'continue'.

"he said it. That he doesn't want a mate. And since i didn't want to be rejected twice, i did it myself. I can't bear it. I don't want to go through the pain again. Besides even if he accepted me, it will still be difficult for me to trust him." i smiled sadly.

If i said i don't want a mate, then I would be lying. I do. I really do. But the reason i disagree with it is because i can't trust again. And i don't want to be broken again. I don't want to be weak. I have built a strong wall in my mind and heart. I can't let it fall. I can't let someone break through it. I can't.

"I'm so sorry, Winnie." Danicia came and hugged me. "it's ok. I.. I don't care about him." i hugged her back. But they already saw the tears in my eyes.

Esmeralda wrapped her arms around us. So did Rayce and Darren. And finally Jaxon. "don't be sad, princess. We are all here for you." he said softly.

"show him that you don't need him in your life. Show him who you are." Darren said. I nodded.

"and remember. If you want someone to kick his a$$ you know exactly who you need." Esmeralda said smugly making me laugh a bit.

"and let me beat the crap outta him." Darren smirked. "don't forget me! My middle name is Prankster. I can make him fart flour." Rayce said making all of us bubble with laughter.

"is it a family group hug?" we heard Kail's voice. I looked up and asmed him to come and he jumped into my arms. I motioned Maya to come too. And happily joined.

We sat like that for 3 minutes. In a group hug. And just talking. That's something we always do.

I wore the gray tank top and blue high waisted ripped denim jean shorts with my white cardigan. And wore my blue boots. I let my hair down and did my makeup. Thick layer of black mascara and golden winged eyeliner. I did my eyeshadows gold too. And then applied strawberry lip gloss on my lips.

I smiled at the mirror satisfied by how i look.

I grabbed my phone put it into my purse and put the chain on my jean shorts belt and locked it before putting the purse into the back pocket.

I walked out of the room and closed the door carefully because my son is sleeping. I went a room across the hall and knocked on the door. Maya opened the door. "I'm ready, Alpha. How do i look?" she asked.

She was wearing a knee length light pink summer dress with candy pink strap heels. She had light make up and her hair was in a Dutch braid. "you look beautiful sweety." i smiled. She said a thanks.

I went to Esmeralda's room and knocked on her room door she opened. "help me with my hair?" she asked. I nodded and asked how she wants her hair yo be done. She said to have a pony tail with slight bangs and bump. I did it while she did her makeup.

She was wearing a green bardot top and black denim shorts. Dark make up and pony tails. She wore her velvet thigh high black boots.

When we got out, there we met Danicia. She was wearing a maroon off shoulder gathered waist top with light pink palazzo pants. She had her hair pinned to the side. She was wearing her high ankle brown leather wedged booties. She had red eye liner and black mascara with blood red lips.

The 3 of us walked out together since the guys said they will meet us there. We went to the clearing in the middle of wood and there were everyone. As soon as i stepped in, every eyes fell on me. And a bunch of gasps echoed. I groaned in annoyance.

Annoying bitches. The 3 of us walked towards the drinks section. Since I'm not one to drink much, i took a coke. Danicia took a lemonade while Esmeralda took a beer. We stood there and talked about things. I felt 2 certain pair of eyes on me. But i ignored.

Suddenly music started blasting and people started to dance. A few members of my old pack came and confronted me, however i gave them the cold shoulder.

Soon the guys also joined us. Danicia and Jaxon went to dance. Me, Esmeralda, Darren and Rayce just sat there and talked about things. But then later Rayce being the flirty person he is, got a girl to dance with. Esmeralda also went to dance and Darren went to the food section.

I simply sat there and watched everyone. "Aerowyn. Baby girl. Is that you?" someone asked from behind me. I turned around to see my...

"Mother?" i stood up shocked. "i knew you would come back to me. Your siblings told me that you are here. They told me that you are Regina Malicious. But i didn't believe it. Because I know my sweet baby girl isn't murderer." she said smiling.

"i didn't come back for you. I came here with my pack. And yes, i. Am. Regina. Malicious. I Aerowyn am a murderer. I killed lots of rogues." i gritted out. "baby. You are lying. Stop joking." she laughed.

"I'm not lying. I'm telling you the truth. And stop calling me baby or baby girl. Stop acting like you care!" i growled.

"Aerowyn. Don't be like that. I love you. You are my youngest daughter." she reached her hand to touch my face, but i flinched away. "don't say that. You. Don't. Love. Me! If you do, well where was that love when i needed the most? You think love is a game?" i glowered.

"step down, young lady." i hward father's voice. He came and wrapped his aems around her protectively.

"you think i will obey you, father? Well then you are wrong. I won't. I'm an Alpha and i obey to no one. You can't control my life anymore." i glared at him.

"I'm your father. Step down." he glared back. "father or not, you didn't treat me like a father would to his daughter. Never mind that. I have found better parents." i said purposely to hurt them. I heard mother gasp.

"you said you love me. How? I saw no love from you any of you since i was 10. Waking up when a bucket of cold water hit me to find out it's my mother. Father made me live in the old garage. The only clothes i got was old clothes of Valerie. I got punched and beaten by my siblings. And what did you do? You congratulated them on their success of beating me. And when Luciano rejected me, They praised him. Speaking of Luciano.. You know what he did? He f*cking alm.."

"ENOUGH! Mind your language!" father fisted to punch me. But i gripped his wrist before it reached me. "no. You can't control my life. Never." i growled and let go. I turned around to see a crowd forming.

"GO BACK TO DO WHATEVER THE HELL YOU WERE DOING! MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS! THE SHOW IS F*UCKING OVER!" i roared. They flinched and spead away. And soon tge music blasted again.

........

I walked over to the drink section once again. I grabbed a beer this time and drank it in one go. I took another and drank it too. Since werewolves don't get drunk easily i gulped the 3rd one too. But when i grabbed the 4th, a hand stopped me. I looked up and my eyes widened.

"Carlos?" i gasped. "wh..what are you doing here?" i asked. "i live here." Carlos grinned. "b..but.. You are from Winter Flakes." i was so confused.

Carlos is the Beta of Winter Flakes. Winter Flakes is the pack me, Alessia and Esmeralda settled down in. Not exactly the pack. But in the human town near the pack.

"i gave up my beta position. I gave it to my younger brother. I always wanted to be a Warrior. The only reason i accepted beta position in the past was to save it for my younger brother. Alpha Travis knew it. We were cool with that. Right now, I'm here on business purposes as a warrior." he explained. I smiled at him.

"you look so different. Amber eyes. A new clothing style. All bada$$. And sassy. Wow. You really have changed." he grinned. "come on Carl. It has been what? Something like 5 years. A person can change alot in 5 years." i smiled.

"heard you are the famous Regina Malicious. Don't get me wrong. I believe in you. I know you killed whoever you killed for a good reason. I have known you fro sometime. And i know it." he smiled kindly. "Thanks, Carl. Esmeralda is there. She would love to meet you." i said.

"sure. I know she would." He grinned. I laughed. They never really liked each other. They always tried to annoy wach other. It was fun to watch.

"i heard about Ale. I'm sorry about Ale. I heard how she died. She died as a hero." he smiled sadly. "yeah. She died as a hero." i repeated.

'Esmi. Come here.' i mind linked her. Few seconds later i saw her coming towards us. She was still doing some dance moves.

But then she suddenly stopped. Carlos and her eyes locked. I got confused when none of them said anything. It was like their eyes wre glued to each other.

I noticed how their eyes slightly widened. A grin appeared on Carlos's face while shock and disbelief appeared on Esmeralda's eyes. Then also they didn't look away.

Slowly slowly Carlos walked towards her. Their eyes studied each other the whole time. Carlos stopped in front of her and wrapped his arms around her possessively. Are they.. Are they?  M

Are they MATES?!.

That's when i heard it. "mate"

I remembered how me and Luciano found out that we are mates. It was a beautiful moment until he broke it to pieces.
